Creativity Wing

The creativity wing is one of the largest wings of JEM due to the imagination center being given its own building extension onto the original school building. The wing itself contains the practical workshop for shop and design classes, the performance hub for drama and theatre classes as well as the imagination center building itself. The design of the imagination center is at odds with the rest of the John Endecott Memorial design, focusing on being sleek and modern when compared to the colonial architecture of the main building.

  • Practical Workshop
The practical workshops are a specially designed large space where students and clubs are free to work on—as the name suggests—practical pieces of work. The large workshop space contains sets of old wooden group tables, that if the graffiti scratched into them is to be believed were first brought into the school in the seventies and have yet to be replaced. Luckily this does not extend to the rest of the space, as it contains all the machines needed for workshop and sewing classes among others, but it does, however, house all these machines within the same space. This gives the workshop an odd mix-and-match feeling and can sometimes lead to issues as while some clubs could busy cutting out wood or metal someone else could be trying to sew a garment together for a fashion project.

  • Imagination Center
The extravagantly named Imagination Center refers to the art rooms at John Endecott Memorial. Originally the jewel of JEM's subjects the art classrooms were the first to be made into their own wing, and while they have yet to see a substantial upgrade since the school went public and began trying to bolster its more academic programs they are still considered above average. In fact, there is a running joke among anyone who has worked or studied at the school that the art rooms are the only ones that make any sense. The classrooms themselves are actually one large main room with three smaller offshoot rooms, one contains a set of computers for any digital artwork or photography, a small annex for any wet sculpting that contains a kiln, and finally a small dark room. The artwork of alumni hangs on the walls and at the end of each year, the art department holds the John Endecott Art Festival, where work from various students is put on exhibit and opened to the public. The main room of the imagination center is bright white with square wooden desks arranged in a U-shape facing the central desk where lectures and demonstrations are given from.

  • Performance Hub
The Performance Hub occupies the space that was previously home to the Imagination Center before it moved to its own building. As a result of this, the performance hub space is of good quality, being able to house featuring a small but dedicated stage area up against one wall, separate secure storage for instruments and props, and enough room for tiered seating for band and lectures. The Performance Hub also houses all of the film equipment for the school that students can sign out as needed. The only downside of the move and an element that caused some confusion among the student body is that while the performance hub got to move to a larger space, it did also move it to the opposite side of the school from the auditorium, something that has caused some very surreal scenes as students have to carry props throughout the schools' corridors so they can be used in shows, one famous instance of this saw students carrying a giant Audrey II had through the halls.
