Appearance: Despite being of an average height of 5’9” and a weight of 147 lbs, Alec still tends to look smaller and younger than he is at first glance due to his naturally petite frame. Nonetheless, he still maintains a lean-muscled and flexible body. He has an overall lithe and angular figure but with a rounded face and soft features. He’s a boy of mixed descent with light brown skin paired with heavy-lidded icy blue eyes. He has a long upturned nose and lips with an undefined cupid’s bow, with a smattering of small moles scattered right across his face. He styles his wavy medium-length hair in a side-swept undercut, which has obvious hair damage. His bleached silver hair has just started to fade and dark roots are growing out, but the hair color still makes his thick and straight eyebrows more prominent. He has slightly crooked teeth and pierced earlobes.

Alec stands in a relaxed stance. He is often seen quietly humming to himself with a spaced-out look on his face when idle and alone. He lights up attentively in conversations with an easy smile and has a bright tone in his soft but deep voice.

Alec has a casual sense of apparel that attempts some simple yet stylish choices so as not to seem too plain but never fails to take comfort and ease of movement into account. Hoodies, sweaters, and T-shirts in cool or muted colors are common to see on him, along with comfortable but fit trousers. His pattern choices are often simple, such as stripes or checkers. He mostly wears sneakers or running shoes at school, and tends to wear simple jewelry, such as his black stud earrings he rarely takes off. On the day of the abduction, he was wearing an oversized black and indigo striped boatneck sweater over a plain black tank top, tucked under a pair of dark green joggers, and navy high-top sneakers with white soles. He had his black stud earrings on his earlobes, a silver bangle bracelet on his right wrist, and wore a moonstone pendulum necklace.

Biography: Alec was born on November 17, 2003, to Lian and Clement Lewis, a Chinese-American graphic designer, and a music equipment store owner of Caribbean descent respectively. He is the middle child and only son among three children, following after his older sister Chantal by three years and preceding his younger sister Dana by two years.

Being born in an artistically-inclined family, Alec had grown up exposed to a lot of musical and design know-how, and he ended up picking up several bits of knowledge regarding his parents’ fields of expertise throughout the years, such as being an above-average artist and particularly knowing how to play the piano. Lian and Clement were loving and supportive parents, always encouraging their children’s creative interests and willingly providing them with what they needed for their forms of artistic expression. Nevertheless, they were also careful to provide their children with realistic expectations in regards to planning their future, reminding them that success takes a lot of hard work and luck. This shaped Alec as a passionate and sensitive soul, but also a determined one who values hard work and effort.

He was a kind and empathetic child, if a bit too compliant in personality despite having a large abundance of energy. It was easy for him to make friends with others, even if he was rarely the first one to approach. Nevertheless, he was easy to get along with, and would often laugh as he played with others. He never hesitated to be generous with his peers. He also often got lost in his imagination and so could get left behind as he spaced out.

While his sisters tend to have more of their parents’ attention due to being the eldest and the youngest, Alec had ended up being slightly more connected to his maternal grandmother during his early years, as she would be the only one ever to give him her undivided attention whenever they visited her. Alec remembered being taught traditional Chinese folk dance in his grandmother’s living room, and despite those being the only few vague memories he had of her before her death when he was five, a love of dancing was already established within him.

Noticing their son’s inclination towards moving his body along with music, they signed him up for ballet lessons when he was six, much to his delight. Alec loved the classes and was very focused on learning what he can to be the best he could be. He had always been more on the quiet side at first, but dancing gave Alec the confidence he had often lacked in comparison to his sisters. As a child, he didn’t hesitate to show off what he learned when asked to demonstrate during social gatherings, and often even enjoyed the attention that was given to him during those moments.

It didn’t take long for Alec to start being curious about other dance styles and started asking his parents if he could also attend more dance classes. Seeing how this creative outlet had made their son very happy, along with the physical benefits dancing could provide, his parents agreed to enroll him in multiple classes. He started taking jazz and hip-hop dance classes by the time he was eight, finding joy in the less structured nature of these dance styles and the freedom to improvise. He later picked up an interest in ballroom and tap dancing when he was eleven due to his older sister briefly getting into musicals and making him watch movies and bootlegs with her. By the end of middle school, his jazz instructor suggested that he try out contemporary and modern dance, which he did in the summer before freshman year. Alec’s transition from one style to another was made easier as he accumulated more experience in each style, and he took pride in being a well-rounded dancer.

Alec didn’t stop at formal training, and in his free time was teaching himself new techniques that he hadn’t learned yet or even making his choreography. He was often a shoo-in for making choreographies if there was a school group activity requiring one, and he was always willing to do it. Dancing is a source of pride and confidence for Alec, but he is usually unsatisfied with the self-made choreographies that he recorded, and often goes back and forth with himself in posting them online for other people to see. However, he also participated in competitions and showcases and garnered a fair amount of victory and praise in both solo and group numbers. His usually gentle disposition often changes to something fiercer and sharper during these moments, and a side to him that is a competitive perfectionist with high ambitions emerges. Alec’s love for dancing is pure, believing that people should primarily have fun dancing, but he also takes it very seriously, especially in his competitive moments, that he would wind up overworking himself. He has only ever sustained minor injuries whenever he got overboard at this point, but his fondness for the activity as well as his perfectionist nature would always bring him to a depressed state whenever he was advised against dancing for a while.

He had always been the energetic type, and outside of dancing, Alec would direct his energy towards his relationships and learning other skills. There is usually no hesitation within him when it comes to friends and family. He rarely turns down invites to hang out or go to parties, although he isn’t usually one for intentionally putting the spotlight on himself in those kinds of gatherings. He is very affectionate towards his friends and loved ones, and he could be very physical and verbal with it.

While usually fairly level-headed, Alec has always been rather emotional. He's someone who gets easily carried by his own or other people's emotion. He gets teary-eyed to sad movies, doesn't hesitate to fight at a loved one's side, and could empathize with a friend in need of comforting. He would get inspired after seeing a physical stunt from an action movie and would attempt to recreate it by himself just to see if he could. If he ended up breaking something at home, his first instinct to get out of trouble was to pin the blame to someone else out of panic, no matter how implausible it was or even if he was caught red-handed. When Alec has something he wants, he immediately tries to figure out a way to get it, and if left only by himself and his usual determination to see things through, Alec would go through with it with not much thought of the worst-case scenario. Along with a perfectionist nature and a strong dislike of failure, Alec doesn't really give up easily against a challenge. He has a tendency to practice doing something until he finally gets it, and could end up forgetting his other needs and obligation just to succeed at that one thing he decided to do.

Alec doesn’t mind doing small favors for his friends and family, such as being asked to take pictures of backgrounds and subjects in different angles for his little sister Dana to practice drawing on. This later turned into a genuine interest in photography, as besides the idea of capturing something he found beautiful and worthwhile to remember, Alec also loved the idea of self-expression in capturing the way he sees the world in an image that he could share with others. He tends to play around with perspectives for his shots, whether it's a shot of a random object in his room or of a view of the clouds in the sky. However, he likes taking candid pictures of people the most, especially when it can tell a story, although he rarely does it out of common courtesy.

He has a fondness for a good story coupled with good art, and so often finds himself enjoying reading webtoons. He is open to most genres, and doesn't shy away from darker stories. As long as there is either solid characterization or a plot, Alec would read it if the art was pretty enough. He tends to like drama and romance stories the most, but enjoys action-oriented stories just as much, mostly for the dynamic movement in art. He generally likes the slice-of-life genre the least, although he could make an exception if it has good comedy and a fitting art style. He gets easily immersed in a good horror, mystery, or thriller and ends up thinking deeply about them, so he would balance it out with just as many lighthearted and feel-good stories.

Video games are another medium for Alec to enjoy good visual storytelling. He enjoys the Ace Attorney games, and also of the recent entries in the Persona and Final Fantasy series. He also adores the games developed by thatgamecompany and their artistic merit. He likes story-focused games the most, but Alec can easily ignore the absence of a story if it is a competitive video game. Alec thrives in playing against someone, and is quite willing to cheat to win in a racing or fighting game. He could be expected to physically and verbally hinder his opponent when he is about to lose against them in Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros. Whether it's by distracting them or outright slapping the controller away from their hands, Alec could be rather thoughtless in his desire to win. He only ever gets this intense when he is close to winning though, but he is still a bit of a sore loser who will sulk over his loss for a while. This is why he prefers playing in local co-op mode, and would only play online multiplayer with friends. He would be genuinely remorseful if someone actually felt hurt over his aggressive competitiveness, and he would stop if it really bothered them that much, but he would first try to encourage them to just do the same thing as him so that it'd be fair again. Despite his own competitiveness, Alec doesn't really hold serious grudges over video games.

Alec himself is a hopeless romantic. He had shown interest in romance ever since he was introduced to the concept, and had fallen in love with the idea of a soulmate who was perfect for him. While a part of him is slightly embarrassed of such cliche thoughts, that didn’t stop him from expressing his interest in girls his age. He’s often drawn to sweet and confident people with lots of passion. Alec is the type to quickly have a crush on someone and pine hard until he decided that he was definitely in love. He tends to stop thinking and end up making bold moves to express his feelings, and could only be slightly flustered afterward, although with no regrets. Alec always gives his all into his relationships, constantly making efforts to spend time with them or bringing them little gifts. He was always open and honest with his girlfriends, as well as thinking about what he should do to make sure that they were always happy in the relationship. He has no problems with voicing his own desires as well, and believes in communication so that the relationship will always be at its best. In Alec's mind, everything is already planned out by the time they are officially dating. Every small anniversary should be celebrated as it's one step to their inevitable future together, and so he would be quick to say that he loves his current girlfriend. He isn't shy in expressing this, almost unable to hold in his dramatic rush of affection, and could end up waxing poetic about his girlfriend for a long time, admiring her virtues and even romanticizing her imperfections.

Unfortunately, he tends to idealize his object of affection and becomes devastated when he feels like his efforts went unappreciated and unreciprocated. There are only a few things that Alec could accept being a higher priority over the relationship: family, their dreams and aspirations, or a life-or-death situation. Alec would change his routine to pursue spending time with his girlfriend, and he would expect her to understand that she should be able to do the same. His overzealousness and grand romantic gestures could be rather overwhelming, especially when he would want the same amount of love and attention from his partner. In particular, he’s quite sensitive to the idea of not being someone’s first choice or priority. He gets passive-aggressive as if in a competition when he’s in one of those kinds of moods: his little gifts and gestures would continue but his attitude on the way he gives them would take on a more spiteful vibe, he would then start making backhanded remarks on his girlfriend not making the same effort as he does to make the relationship work, before finally devolving to suddenly asking desperate questions on how and why his love wasn't enough. The following blow-ups were more often than not break-ups as well, as Alec would then decide that it was not meant to be if his girlfriend hasn’t decided yet for him at that point. Nevertheless, he never handles break-ups and heartbreak well, and it would take him a couple of weeks to snap out of his depressed state.

Alec believes that it can only be in a romantic relationship that he ever becomes the priority, and so does not have these high expectations when it comes to his friendships. He’s often friendly with people and could even confidently say that he has a good number of friends, and he can be rather playful and loves to laugh along with them. Although Alec finds it easier to follow along with his friends than take the lead, he is a responsible kid who would rather stay out of serious trouble and can stand his ground against any sort of peer pressure when he is sure that he is in the right. He’s generally considered a good and polite student, and while not honor roll material, is far from failing any subject even with minimum effort. Besides excelling in his non-academic subjects the most, Alec likes literature and gets pretty good grades in that subject as well. He has the most trouble with science and social studies, and while he doesn't find it as easy as he does with literature, Alec also likes his math subject.

The community lockdowns due to the pandemic found Alec in a perpetually restless state during quarantine. He had spent most of his time focusing on his choreographies and dance skills but also winded up depressed by the lack of interaction with his friends. He never quite adjusted to the new normal at that time and ended up directing his energy to learn more skills when he had grown bored of reading webtoons or playing games. He went to improve his piano playing, and after being inspired by a YouTube video, decided that he also wanted to learn how to beatbox. He mostly succeeded in that endeavor, but then he had another impulsive decision that he, unfortunately, neglected to make a more thorough research of. Alec planned to dye his black hair to a silver color after seeing Chantal dye hers pink, and thought that he could bleach his hair multiple times in only one sitting. He got very concerned by his second session that immediately followed the first and promptly panicked that he might’ve seriously damaged his scalp and hair. After going to Chantal for help and getting chewed out by his parents for being reckless, they’ve managed to arrive at his desired color, but not without a damaged texture and a lot of embarrassment on his side. Once face-to-face learning was once again gonna happen, Alec had his grown-out silver-dyed bleach-damaged hair styled to his current haircut.

Alec and his family had always known that dancing was going to be a part of his future. He plans to be a choreographer someday and applied to several dance colleges and programs. Alec is aiming for NYU or Juilliard, but he has several other backup colleges he auditioned too. He’s a little anxious, but he’s mostly confident that things are looking up since the lockdown is over.

Advantages: Due to being a dancer, Alec has high endurance and an agile and athletic body. He is also known as a kind and friendly face so it would be easier for him to acquire allies and get people to lower their guards around him.
Disadvantages: Alec has a competitive streak and tends to get easily carried away by his own emotions, and so he might end up charging head on towards something without thinking things through first. He also tends to push his limits and could end up overexerting himself.

The way this is phrased sound like these are two opposite things.

This really doesn't make sense. He has a good hold on his facial expressions but lounges around with a spaced-out look? Is that on purpose or?

Nevertheless, he was easy to get along with, and smiles freely, and would often laugh as he played with others.

The use of smiles freely messes up the tense of this sentence. Profiles should be written in a detached past tense, so smiles freely should be replaced with smiles freely.

These two statements aren't connected to each other at all so should be separated.

While the details you go into on Alec's dance hobby are really good it does however mean we lack a lot of detail on his other hobbies. Each hobby should really have a paragraph of its own but at the moment the others only get one passing line each. So these will all need to be expanded into paragraphs of their own.

I'd just like the details of what subjects Alec is good or bad at as well as likes and dislikes just so we can get a better idea of where his interests lie at school.

And that's everything I could find on this run through. The main thing we need to get sorted are those additional paragraphs for Alec's other interests, so I'd say make that a focus when you come to making the edits.

Alright, Alec is looking better but there are still some bits that need work before he can be approved for the game.

I think there was a misunderstanding here as the issue with this statement that I was picking out is that standing in a very proper posture isn't compatible with having a relaxed stance, so one of this will have to go.

The paragraph on video games needs to be expanded. What are his favourite series or individual games? How does he cheat? How do people react to his cheating etc.

The disadvantage about Alec being impulsive doesn't really show up in the profile. The closest thing I can find is that he got a bad dye job on impulse, which isn't really enough. The profile even says he's a responsible kid. So I'd like some further expansion within the profile. This is the same for the pushing his limits disadvantage as well honestly. I'd suggest digging a bit deeper into this overwhelming romantic side of Alec and how he can become passive-aggressive towards people.

I'm still not seeing much evidence of Alec being that impulsive, he seems emotional and competitive but not impulsive. He's still described as a responsible kid for one. So this will need to be elaborated on within the profile or the disadvantage altered.
