Located on the first floor of the mall, even in the summer, the ice skating rink seems to transform its area of the mall into a winter wonderland. Classes are offered for beginners on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the rest of the week being a free-for-all skate.

(Debut of Clio Gabriella)

Whether or not Clio spent time out of the house, away from her parents, was totally up to them. She lived with them, they fed her, and she had no money of her own, so they controlled her life. That was the case ever since that...incident. So when they had a meeting in town (something about a job?) Clio used this opportunity to go have some fun. Not the kind of fun found in a party, since her new religion forbade most of the stuff that goes on there, but simply to just enjoy herself. And what better place to enjoy oneself than an Ice Skating Rink? Well, there were probably more enjoyable things to do, but she liked skating, so skating she went.

As she slid on her rented skates, she noticed how empty it was this time of day. It was as if though no-one had time to skate anymore. She could see why. What with the economy the way it was, everyone stuck to what they could afford. And if people who didn't like skating were the only ones who could afford it...

Clio stumbled on her first attempt to step on the ice, but she soon found her rhythm. She started in small strides, but the strides quickly grew larger, and she was propelled faster. She could feel the wind in her hair, and she smiled. Clio Gabriella was almost completely alone, and that was all she needed.

*~*

After about half an hour, Clio was extremely tired. It wasn't really worth it to stick around somewhere where she'd only be ignored. Taking in another lap, she made her way over to the entrance, turned in her skates, and left the promenade for the day. Checking her purse, she saw that she only wasted a few dollars for the amount of time she spent there.

For once, something she did wasn't a complete waste.
