A Curse, A First

Content warning: SA

The cellar below the church was kept hidden by the large wardrobe that was placed on top of the trapdoor leading down into it. The cellar itself is a roughly rectangular-shaped room cut out from the stone bedrock the church was built on. Cold, wet, and populated by a large colony of spiders and rats, the cellar was used to store stashes of alcohol that had been illegally shipped to the island. All that is left of this enterprise is a large stack of empty wooden barrels and scattered glass bottles.

Oookaaaay… This was getting more than a little creepy. Well, creepier than just getting kidnapped on its own, that is.

He tugged on her collar, she felt it push against her throat. She kept a straight face, but it would be a lie if she said she wasn’t concerned that he was trying to kill her by getting the collar to pop her head. Then there was him saying he was “always alone.” Immediate red flags that called to mind to those incel losers. But she had to soldier on if she wanted to live, she reminded herself.

His lips were brought close to skim the flesh of hers, but she was hesitant to attempt to kiss him just yet. Instead she opted to look into his eyes with a half-lidded look. His hand slid down her top, squeezing at her breasts, which caused her to shudder — more out of disgust than arousal, though she gave out a soft moan to hopefully make him not realize that.

Then he turned off the light.

Shit.

Well, now she couldn’t see shit and this guy was all handsy on her body. Not exactly the BEST position, but one she was starting to realize she probably put herself in. Hindsight is 20/20, as the saying goes.

She sighed internally, resigning herself to what was about to happen.

She moved her hands to his shoulders and leaned in close to him…

Her heart thumped against his thumb.

He saw the darkened visage in front of him gaze with her half-lidded eyes, not moving except to lean in a bit. Neither moved for a kiss.

Withdrawing his hand, he then put both his hands on her shoulders and moved them both down, pushing against the curves of her chest, going down, following the contours of her body and moving inward at the waist until they came to rest on her thighs. His thumbs gripped her inner thighs.

He liked that she didn't move to kiss him. She was waiting for him. He moved his left hand and snatched the wrist of her hand that had been laying on his thigh.

He knew what he wanted to do with the hand, but that would be tipping just a little too far past what he knew to be acceptable. In his mind, he could see the next steps. He could imagine leaping at her and starting to consume.

Rapacious.

(Put your hands down and pray?)

His hand trembled.

Then what? He wasn't actually sure what all the steps were. Looking at her, he felt the control start to slip. Hesitance peaked in. She was a human, too, wasn't she? And she'd seen his claws. He wasn't an animal. He looked down, ashamed to look at her, ashamed of what he'd felt. Those feelings built up and built up until --

Josh shoved Dani away suddenly.

"S-stay away," he mumbled. "For your own good."

He grabbed the gun and scooped up his coat and flashlight, then looped his bag around his wrist as he got to his feet and ran up the stairs.

With a fluid motion, he pushed open the door and leapt out, leaving Dani alone in the cellar

It had happened so quickly that she barely had time to process what had happened. She had been moving closer to him, but then he shoved her off him! Without warning! She ended up sprawled on her back, her head almost smacking on the ground. She barely heard what he had said when she realized he got his stuff and took off. So now she was there, staring into the darkness in confusion, all alone and questioning what the fuck had happened.

She supposed she should be glad she didn’t have to fuck him or have worry that he’d pin her down and force it on her, but she couldn’t help but feel somewhat insulted. While it was an act, she did practically throw herself at him and he just fucking shoved her then bolted. She could understand cold feet, but what the fuck?! He didn’t even bother giving her light so she could find the clothes she took off!

“This is fucking bullshit…” She grumbled as she tried to get her eyes to adjust to the dark as she patted around for her bag.

Finding it, she went through the process of opening it and blindly riffled around in it to find her own flashlight. Pulling it out, she flipped it on and shined the light around until she found her sweater and jacket. After finding the discarding items of clothing she went through the process of putting them back on, fuming the whole time.

Fully dressed she looked back to where she had initially entered the cellar and sighed. This day was garbage, is garbage, and will probably continue to be garbage. She swore that if she came across another person she didn’t know and they were an asshole she would be 100% fucking done with everyone.

And she walked out from the cellar…
