Honestly, Olive was just the last person Connie remembered seeing

Located on the shore of the frozen lake between the forest itself, the campground was a popular summer getaway spot for residents of the town, frequently featuring BBQs and games of softball among other activities. The campground now is home to a few abandoned tents, an outhouse, and a single lonely log cabin with a small jetty. The time left abandoned has seen the log cabin, outhouse and jetty become covered in moss.

All there was to it.

Anyway, she really did have places to be, didn't want to catch her death from cold. That'd be such a boring way for it to end. Imagine that being the note you went out on. Someone's chatting at the water cooler, oh you hear that those kids got dragged into a death game? Damn that's crazy, how'd Ned's son die? One of his classmates brutally murder him, did he heroically save his bestie and die dramatically in their arms? Oh, nah, he sucked so bad at winter that he curled up and died of bad weather.

So yeah, off she went, ((continuing elsewhere))

Hey, come on, like she was saying...

no spoiling the mystery.
