What if they don’t like it?
What if they make fun of it?
Maybe this was a bad idea.
Wendy shook her head. If she didn’t upload this artwork, then what was the point of creating it? Otherwise, it’d be taking up storage data in her computer. What a waste that would be.
Still, she wasn’t sure if anyone would even notice it. Arguably, having your art go unnoticed is an even worse fate than having it trashed by trolls. You’d might as well have thrown a tiny stone into the ocean. She could always try again, but there wasn’t any guarantee. But, she’d never know unless she tried.
She typed out the post on her piece.
The artwork featured a pink, anthropomorphic bunny girl, who Wendy named Momo, sitting on a beach, with a cup of ice cream in her left hand, and a spoon in the other hand. The ocean behind her was calm and a deep blue, while the sky was a brighter blue. The horizon that connected the sky and ocean blended together almost seamlessly. The sundae Momo held was decorated with chocolate fudge covering the swirled shaped vanilla confection, with a cherry on top. Momo was wearing a purple one piece bathing suit, with a large sun hat that had holes where her ears stuck out.The first artwork on my account.
Momo is enjoying a nice sundae on the beach. #beach #anthro #bunny
Her mouse cursor hovering over the the post button, she gulped and clicked.
—1 Hour Later—
Wendy had gone to get a snack. When she came back to her computer, she noticed she had notifications on the bell icon by her Twitter profile. Wendy was a bit excited and a bit nervous. She clicked on the notification as soon as she sat down at the computer.
It was a single like, retweet, and follow from one of the artists she followed.
While it was a small accomplishment, Wendy felt elated. Especially because she liked just about everything this artist put out. Wendy clicked the artist’s icon, and clicked their DM icon.
About a few seconds later, they replied. Thanks for the follow!
“Best. Day. Ever.”, Wendy said to herself, giddy. No problem.
