Davey Cromwell

NPCs (non-player characters) go here. This section is for characters who will not be participating in the game, including teachers and school administration. To encourage consistency, the staff have created a number of ready-made teachers, all of whom are available for free handler use unless stated otherwise. Please link any appearances these staff make in threads by replying to their topics. For this pregame, any additional NPCs will require staff approval on a case-by-case basis. Please contact staff if you wish to create any NPCs, and note that we will generally be trying to keep their numbers slim; pregame is, first and foremost, about the students.

Name: Davey Cromwell
Position: Principal
Gender: Male
Age: 40

Appearance: Mr. Cromwell is a Caucasian man with a ruddy complexion. He stands on the shorter side of average and is slightly overweight, at 5'8" and 174 pounds. He is bald, though he does sport a greying goatee, and he has small, watery blue eyes. He dresses professionally in button-downs and slacks, though he often appears somewhat rumpled. He speaks and moves quickly and energetically.

Biography/Personality: Davey Cromwell is a Tennessee native, having moved from Nashville to the slightly less crowded Chattanooga around ten years ago. Prior to the construction of the new George Hunter High School, Mr. Cromwell was a vice principal at one of the other public high schools in the city, and he jumped at the opportunity to accept the principal position at the new school, where he intends to stay at least until his own children are out of high school several years from now.

Naturally jovial, Mr. Cromwell tries to maintain a friendly and approachable air towards students, feeling that educators are most effective when students can comfortably connect with them. Though this sometimes comes off as forced or as though he is trying too hard to be cool and casual, most students view Mr. Cromwell as a decent principal, if not a particularly authoritative one. He is known for being a somewhat lax disciplinarian as well, particularly towards first-time offenders.
"Art enriches the community, Steve, no less than a pulsing fire hose, or a fireman beating down a blazing door. So what if we're drawing a nude man? So what if all we ever draw is a nude man, or the same nude man over and over in all sorts of provocative positions? Context, not content! Process, not subject! Don't be so gauche, Steve, it's beneath you."
