I reread the last game (as far as Kermit survived) and yeah, my Kermit meta is obsolete.

I'm feeling kinda weird about this game because I don't have any real Town reads yet. Usually it's easy to find someone.

Fenris earned mild town points, after the scumlean of yesterday that I never went into. Again, yell at me if I don't post tomorrow.

Given game size, style, and balance, Friend Computer is not enforcing activity metrics this time around. That said, players who have yet to post in the thread have now been pinged in Discord.

I'm actually pretty much set on voting for either inactive FYI. I just want to get what few thoughts I have down before phase end.

Normally, I'd be pushing for an educated guess lynch over an inactivity lynch on the grounds that it's wasting time when a vig might be around to whack them.

Due to how small this game is, that risks leaving the vote in the Mafia's power due to inactivity, so we need to cull them out quickly. (Quick math - We need five votes to lynch. Because we need five players to lynch, if one or both inactive players are Town, we need Mafia to vote with us to lynch. They could literally claim to be scum in the thread and we couldn't do anything about it because we'd lack the votes.)

If they respond to the Discord ping, we need to step back and consider our options. This means that we really should be exploring our reads now so that we have options should the need arise.

So, first thoughts.

Was going to vote Sh4de, but since he showed up, I'll give him a chance to demonstrate his loyalty to democracy and Friend Computer.

Reasoning as follows:

Unless Irena stays completely inactive AND Jimmy/Sh4de get more active, we're better off wagoning either of them. (Jim or Sh4de) Given what I mentioned about scum earlier, I highly doubt this current wagon got anywhere without scum support. (3 votes out of 4-5 active players. From my perspective it's even less likely since I know I'm Town. {Yes, I know that people can't take my word as absolute. I'm still sharing my perspective as it actually really stands, like I do pretty much every game, so make of it what you will.})

That doesn't confirm Irina as Town, but they're more likely that a wagon that probably has scum help is Town. For this reason, I'd bet on another inactive first.

In short - We had 2-3 inactive players, unlesss scum is entirely inactive, they are probably supporting the wagon (Town is rarely unanimous early in the game) and I'm betting that the one that happened to have a wagon form up on them isn't likely to be scum.

Seems like a better gamble.

i get what you're saying but i dont think im gonna switch my vote until irina says something, literally anything. it's an incredibly risky gesture but if i was scum i think i'd at least consider bussing a teammate that was 100% ghosting the game, so scum being on an inactive!scum! lynch this early doesn't seem impossible.

unrelated baseless speculation: could vyse's Team Leader or w/e status being announced be because he's being targeted by another role, in some way or another? like, a lover or a lyncher, but instead of just being given Vyse's name in the role PM, they get told to watch out for the role announcement in the thread, because this is a bastard game and it'd serve to confuse everyone?

1. yeah. i don't see a compelling reason to not vote for someone who has literally not said one (1) word so far. if they say literally anything i'll happily reconsider, but like, every time i've ever been mafia i've happily bussed my teammates when they give me reason to, and i'm sure i'm not the only one.
