Feel free to discuss in this/any other stats thread I post, by the way. I'll make indexes if needed to allow for ease of navigation (and in this case the archive is the first page and this post starts the second).

Okay, adjusted and expanded from chat the other day, some Hero Card stats through the ages:

Total Hero Cards played by version:
V1: 61
V2: 12
V3: 14
V4: 53
V5: 28
V6: 20

1. V1 lacked distinct Hero Cards—Swap Cards played both their current role and that of the modern Hero Card, and were still only one per handler, resulting a smaller field of "Heroes."

Average Heroes per roll by version:
V1: 0.6
V2: 0.75
V3: 0.64
V4: 2.3
V5: 1.4
V6: 1

Total handlers by version:2
V1: 47
V2: 33
V3: 36
V4: 80
V5: 67
V6: 49

2. Taken from the Wiki, so add a pinch of salt; some handlers are double-counted for various reasons, went immediately inactive, etc.

Percentage of handlers who played their Hero Card by version:
V1: 12.8%
V2: 36.4%
V3: 38.9%
V4: 66.3%
V5: 41.8%
V6: 40.8%

Of note, only V4 saw greater than 50% Hero Card usage. There are a lot of possible reasons for this, but I'd personally attribute it to a combination of version size couple with high activity enforcement leading handlers to cut ballast, and site culture/staff policy at the time working to actively incentivize Hero Deals.

And, heck, since I already got this stuff, let's do Swaps too:

Total Swap Cards played by version:
V1: 93
V2: 144
V3: 16
V4: 34
V5: 20
V6: 18

3. V1 lacked distinct Hero Cards—Swap Cards played both their current role and that of the modern Hero Card, and were still only one per handler, resulting a smaller field of Swaps.
4. V2 allowed for donations of unused cards in the late game, which ultimately allowed Megami and LaZardo to Swap twice apiece.

Average Swaps per roll by version:
V1: 0.9
V2: 0.88
V3: 0.73
V4: 1.48
V5: 1
V6: 0.9

Total handlers by version:2
V1: 47
V2: 33
V3: 36
V4: 80
V5: 67
V6: 49

2. Taken from the Wiki, so add a pinch of salt; some handlers are double-counted for various reasons, went immediately inactive, etc.

Percentage of handlers who played their Swap Card by version:
V1: 19.1%
V2: 42.4%
V3: 44.4%
V4: 42.5%
V5: 29.9%
V6: 36.7%

Bumping this a. so I don't have to keep digging it out of page 2 and b. for an observation: this is the earliest roll to go entirely unadjusted on Main in over a decade (V3 saw an unadjusted roll as early as the ninth rolls, but that was 2008).
