SotF Board Mafia Game Thread!

Fen, "It's no use!" if the last scum really is the godfather, cause you'll get non-scum for all of us. There are generally 2 power roles in a mafia team, right? So I can heal ya, but like, is it really a good idea? You have said before that your role is basically worthless at this point.

If boogie is scum, there is a possibility that Dodd and Boogie did some galaxy braining considering how hard Dodd was coming on Boogie, but it's a super risky as heck move.

Also can someone more competent then me do a read on Yugi? My opinion that's on my read list is not exactly of value

not to sound arrogant or anything but the utility in keeping me alive would primarily be in that i am for all intents and purposes confirmed town. ie if the final 3 was me and two other people thats already 1/3 eliminated as possibilities for being The Last Mafia, making it an argument between 2 people instead of 3.

@Irina if you're town, I can almost guarantee you that there's no godfather (unless Ricky messed things up badly, but he's an experienced mod so i kinda doubt it), thus the best course of action (assuming you're town) is to protect Fenris

In that same vein, we can say that boogie being godfather is out of the question barring Ricky being funky with role setup. If boogie is godfather, then irina is town and (presumably) telling the truth about backup doctor (IRINA IF YOU ARE LYING ABOUT BACKUP DOC TO BAIT A KILL OR SOMETHING PLEASE SAY SO NOW SO I CAN PROPERLY SUSPECT BOOGIE), which would mean that, as mentioned earlier, town would have cop + doc + backup doc and scum would have no strongman and no roleblocker to counteract that. I find this unlikely. Irina is the only godfather candidate.

There are, in my opinion, two likely possibilities:

- Irina is godfather
- Yugi is roleblocker/strongman

The five of us are: me, fen, boogie, irina, yugi

Fen is confirmed town. I think boogie is actually confirmed town as well. Thus, the ideal solution is: lynch either me or yugi tonight. Fen, investigate the other between the two of us. If fen dies, lynch Irina for lying. If fen doesn't die, they can tell us what the result is. If the result is innocent, lynch Irina--there is no backup doctor, and she's faking it by withholding her kill. If the result is scum, lynch that person instead of Irina. If fen gets roleblocked, lynch the investigation target. I think--THINK--this is foolproof unless mafia has a strongman and/or Ricky is fucking with us, in which case we're fucked. But i really doubt they have a strongman. And this should work regardless of whether mafia withholds a kill or not.

Suppose Irina is scum:

We lynch me/yugi
Irina kills fen
We lynch Irina for lying

We lynch me/yugi
Irina shoots boogie (who lives)
Fen gets an innocent result on the remainder of me/yugi
We can conclude that there is a godfather, that backup doctor is therefore implausible, and then we lynch irina

We lynch me/yugi
Irina shoots me/yugi
fen, boogie, and irina are the only ones left. we lynch irina

we lynch me/yugi
Irina kills no one
fen gets an innocent result on me/yugi
we lynch irina as only plausible godfather

Suppose Yugi is scum (for the rest of town's purposes, yugi is interchangeable with me):

we lynch yugi

we lynch me
yugi shoots at fen/boogie, shot is blocked by either bulletproof or backup doctor
fen gets a guilty result on yugi
lynch yugi

we lynch me
yugi shoots irina
fen gets guilty result on yugi
lynch yugi

we lynch me
yugi withholds the kill
fen gets a guilty result on yugi
lynch yugi

Most likely scenario is that irina is scum lmao. town has a bulletproof and a doc, we don't need more protection. but i think this is the safest strat

that ended up being pretty long, so if you don't want to read through it all my suggested gameplan is:

1. Lynch either me or yugi
2. If we don't win then and there, fen investigates whichever of me/yugi isn't lynched, and irina (if irina is town) protects fen
3. The next day, we lynch:

Irina, if fen dies
Irina, if fen lives and gets an innocent result on me/yugi
Me/yugi, if fen gets a guilty result on us
Me/yugi, if fen gets roleblocked

one more thing. as i said in my long post (which i expect nobody to read), this plan fails if setup is weird (backup doc and godfather both exist), or if scum has a strongman. since i'm the one who suggested this plan, i'm kind of in the optimal position to subvert it if i'm scum: i could be posing this plan for the deliberate purpose of steering town into a scenario that i know i will win if i am strongman. i acknowledge that. the optimal plan tbh for everyone other than me is to lynch me first over yugi

that said, i know i'm town, so:

if you're godfather, then irina's a backup doctor. if irina's a backup doctor, then follow the cop is broken. Ricky is an experienced mod and would presumably account for follow the cop. ergo, you cannot be godfather

yeah the only problem with this whole setup is that it kinda relies on the game being balanced properly. which is not necessarily a guarantee even with an experienced gm. everyone makes mistakes, etc.

yeah no this all makes sense. also if it doesnt work out it means ricky made the game wrong and then we can blame him for our failings and a moral victory is basically the same as an actual victory right

That's a detailed town plan enough for me to basically be completely sure Zetsu is innocent even when I thought before, and I'd say lynch Yugi, there's only one scum left, and if he's the last scum then the game ends here. If not, I'm guarding Fen tonight regardless so there will be a townie dw

There is something I've been wondering, I'm basically done for if there's a strongman, even though I'm backup doctor/official doctor now. Does mafia roleblocker only block or can they block AND shoot? Cause I'm also screwed if I get blocked from Fen and he gets killed. Also I have a headache from why Yugi cannot be godfather like what- Actually scratch that I don't get the whole godfather set ups in general you have there

I wanna go with lynching Yugi but given how much time we go and the fact that it is very easy to rush too quickly I'm just going to yeet a FOS at him
