honestly, i'd be inclined to hard townread jace were it not for that reaction. Scum are much more careful about reading their role PM's than town are. I'm still inclined to townread them.

Also, though he hasn't done it the past couple of games, tossing around light reads on day 1 at the end of shitposting is a standard MW tactic in some of his tapatalk games IIRC and not particularly indicative of anything. What's weirding me out is that, having tossed out a townread and a scumread, he immediately then turns around and does a couple joke posts. Nothing really alarming, but that part's out of character; usually once MW gets serious, he stays serious (again, IIRC, I haven't waded into tapatalk yet but I probably will at some point to confirm).

@Ricky since I died I should be in the dead thread for last game anyways, gimme that sweet piping hot tea (actually it's probably gone cold now this figure of speech is really getting away from me but ANYWAYS) yeah.

I am 95% the Deadchat got purged at game end because it was a Discord PM (not a server) and I think it got closed when results dropped.

(That said I'd be interested to poke back through too if I'm wrong and just got bumped out somehow--I had it muted for the last day or two because I was focusing on other stuff and it kept pinging me. Small chance I just perma-muted or left by mistake.)

i honestly still don't understand the logic behind explanations on why bulletproof claims are scummy but having seen the correlation i cannot deny that they seem to have weight to them

I will say if jace flips scum I want to look at Yugi because he more or less handed him an out with the Advent soldier prompt, which could be scum coaching without day chat in the event that scum don't have fake claims(and since this is a game with relatively few named characters on the town side it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't)

it's mechanically vanilla townie but it's not vanilla townie so you get a pass

no one expects anything from you at night, it's hard to test without a vig or joat and even then scum is legit BP sometimes

if you claim unhit BP in endgame you have an easy excuse for why you're still alive, if you claim hit BP at any point that's a risky-ass gambit that might make people believe you just because of that

it's a perfect storm and if anyone claims BP this game I will vote for them

I don't wanna get serious until the game can properly proceed (which in this case meant Yugi and Irina getting re-outfitted) and also I was fishin' for reactions, especially in the form of overreactions to fairly light/low-content pressure. Fear not, I'm now game-face. >:C I mean, I was before too, just a different sort gated by the aforementioned factors.

(Also I've tried to ease up a little bit on immediately nailing whoever's newest to the wall in order to see how they react under pressure, but dangit the newer players just keep doing interesting things!)

the short I can really say here is 'whoops.' Mostly intended on playing Devil's Advocate to some of the people who got heat for the 'human/alien' stuff, didn't consider that it'd give scum info on what they could theoretically fake-claim.

I would add that in fact scum are often BP and there's a side order of "Scum control the most certain/consistent night kill and town usually has better stuff to do with its extremely limited kills than shooting itself in the foot to be real sure" (especially since, again, even if whoever is legitimately BP it doesn't make them any more town).

That said claiming BP is pretty fun and I used to do it almost every game regardless of my role or alignment and it usually worked out.

Yeah uh, I didn't exactly delete it insomuch as I kicked everybody from the Discord channel and then left it myself, which I'm pretty sure just deletes it by default since there's no way to get back in. But if you're curious what was said in there, just safely assume that there was a lot of shittalking about [Name of person reading this]. Yeah that's right, [name of person reading this], we shittalked you a LOT.

A couple of other things to note here: Jace got defensive and he got defensive quick but with as much time as we have left I don't feel like moving in on him just yet with basically nothing to go off of. It strikes me as shades of exactly what happened the previous game and I'm feeling that's simply how he puts his dukes up. The other thing in 'a couple of things' is that I inherently do not trust Toben, neither should you, and therefore I basically don't read any brilliant read-gaming he's done because he admits anywhere other than the current mafia that he's great at scum but shit at town and therefore never a valuable asset to town and DEAR LORD HOW MANY GAMES WILL I HAVE TO REPEAT THIS LINE IN?

I'd like to note that Boogie joke voted me from the beginning and then stuck with it in seriousness when I began defending myself. Which is fine, I know how I came off. But Dodd jumping on top of that without much beyond 'I'ma ride your thoughts on this bruh' has got me suspicious, especially since the conversation progressing has done nothing to change that.

I am not really suspicious of Boogie right now, but I've got some suspicion I can't shake toward Dodd because it does seem like an easy way to avoid a mob lynch, by throwing in to lynch me, and then sticking with that because it does look like you all are eventually gonna pile onto me, which is going to get me mislynched. Simply put, I am the easiest target right now and it would make sense to commit that early. I saw this going in the direction, around the time Dodd voted for me, of everyone immediately piling on and getting me out of play. I was frankly surprised it didn't, because I thought that second vote was gonna initiate it. Then again he hasn't had the chance to change course yet, bc unless I didn't notice a more recent post, his vote for me was the last time he participated.

The fact is, I just saw an opportunity to make an alien joke and took it bc I thought it'd be funny. I say most things that I say with the intention of joking around, that's really just what I do.

Anyway that's where I am right now. My gut tells me to be suspicious of anyone who's aggressively suspicious of me, but I can see where Zetsu and Boogie are coming from. Dodd, not so much.

Yeah, was about to comment about Jace's sudden super hard and obvious defense posting, but ya'll beat me to it. Tbh, I'm younger and probably newer at mafia then Jace, but this doesn't look like scummy, it looks moreso just genuine mistaken roles, like, the advent soldiers (which would be this game's VT) look human okay, and I'm pretty sure if you're scum, you don't skimread your role pms

Also, BP is literally like, the perfect scumclaim, scum doesn't hit you because you're a VT and that'll waste a shot, and when it's late enough in the game to get hit, you got bullet proof so that's why you're still in.
