Appearance: Miss Bardugo is an older African-American woman of 5'6'' and weighs 120lbs. She has curly, black hair that is cut to just below her chin. Her face is on the smaller side and square in shape, with pronounced cheekbones and bright blue eyes. She normally wears rectangular glasses along with a dark blouse and matching or complementary slacks. While she is typically quiet around the halls of John Endecott Memorial, she is much more animated when she is taking a class or directing a show, her eyes noticeably lighting up.

Biography/Personality: Ms. Bardugo is one of the newer hires at John Endecott Memorial, starting at the time same time as the senior class, although she is not a stranger to the school, having been the regular substitute for the arts disciplines—something she still does from time to time when needed and able—it was through her time as a regular substitute for the school that she was invited to interview for the role of theater teacher when her predecessor retired. Making the most of her opportunity Monica was successful in acquiring the position full-time and has been a popular hire.

Within her classes, Ms. Bardugo's love of the art of theater shines through although she does not force this upon her students. Instead, she offers more relaxed encouraging feedback to her classes, recognizing the fact that not everyone will be as interested or passionate about theater as she is. If students pursue theater studies seriously into their Junior and Senior or for extracurricular activities however the other side of Ms. Bardugo's passion shines through. She is very perceptive and expects those who pursue theater to share her own passion and if they are not putting in their full effort they can expect to be called out for it in front of everyone. This coupled with her attention to detail in the performances she directs creates a challenging but rewarding atmosphere for those who are able to work with her. There are however plenty of students who have come through the theater productions despising her for her habit of stopping a scene midway through to fix an error only she's spotted.
