October Caxton is an outspoken girl with strong beliefs and an aggressive streak. She has recently returned to John Endecott Memorial Academy after spending some time in juvenile hall, and she is generally walking a thin line at the academy. Most of her time on campus is spent in the neglected art building, and she is more than a little frustrated with the lack of attention given to the arts as of late. Off-campus, she is either hanging around various parts of town, or covertly tagging up the alleys.

Monti Morgan: Best friend, currently living in her house

Achim Fromm is an exchange student from Germany who is currently being hosted by the Young family. He is doing quite well in his studies, but his primary focus is as a soccer player, which left him disappointed by the school's lack of a decent athletics program. He spends his off time playing soccer at a local club or looking around town, taking pictures to send to his parents. He's a rather easy-going guy by nature, and obviously ambitious.

Monti Morgan is a hedonistic party girl and social media addict who is always looking for a good time, in or out of school. Frequently running afoul of school regulations and not having much of a vision for her future, she's constantly living in the present. Any time someone in school throws a party, she almost always finds a way to make an appearance. She's not a difficult person to like, a least as long as one doesn't take life too seriously.
