Appearance: Kathleen stands at a short 5’2”, and is thin, and weighs 110 lbs. Her skin is pale looking, but without acne scarring or any other blemishes of any kind. As a result, Kathleen burns quite easily in the sun, even during winter months. Her body type closely resembles an hourglass shape. For the most part, she has no defined muscle, and is frail.

Kathleen's hair is long, thick, and naturally blonde. It is dyed a gradient of white, ending with a gray color at the ends of her hair. Her eyes are a hazel color, but sometimes she puts contacts in her eyes to make them appear violet or purple. Her nose is small, very much like her lips which would also be quite small, and thin. She typically wears light makeup, as well as eyeshadow. She has no piercings.

Kathleen, as a goth, likes to wear dark clothing, mostly black, but with contrasting whites and purples and pinks. On the trip, she wore converse sneakers, with white socks that barely went over the collar of the shoes, black denim jeans, a fluffy black coat coupled with a long-sleeved shirt that bore a Vaporwave picture of a rose, a white knit hat, and a pastel purple scarf.

Biography: Kathleen was born an only child to a Korean-Russian family in Vladivostok, Russia, to Hong Kyung-hwa, a South Korean immigrant to Russia, who works as a secretary, and Russian biotech researcher Trofim Vozelnik. Her parents chose her name because they wanted something unique, and chose the foreign name Kathleen as a result. She grew up in Russia, and grew up speaking Russian and Korean, while also learning English in school. Kathleen and her family immigrated to America when she was 14, and have lived there ever since.

While in Russia, Kathleen grew up listening to goth rock, post punk, and dark wave, fully immersing herself in goth subculture around the middle of secondary school, around what is the 8th grade in America. She did this because the aesthetic and culture appealed to her. She moved to America very soon after this, and never really fit in with many other kids. She was very shy, and at times awkward, and had trouble making friends with new people.

Their family had chosen to move to America after receiving a work visa to work in a better paying biotech job for Moderna, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. They chose to move to the nearby Salem, as it was close but cheaper than Cambridge. Trofim was great at his job, and was soon promoted to a team leader after the COVID-19 pandemic began, and focused solely on vaccine research and development.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kathleen had a lot of time on her hands while in lockdown. She had always switched hobbies fairly frequently, but with so much extra time, she needed new things to keep herself occupied.

On YouTube she found LockPickingLawyer, and BosnianBill, and began to learn lockpicking from them. Using her beginner skills as a master of unlocking she attempted to break into abandoned buildings, to fuel her growing urban exploration interest. To her own surprise, her beginner skills were insufficient to break into abandoned buildings. However, Kathleen was still able to get into less secure abandoned buildings and take very good pictures for social media. She also became better at running, to avoid being seen trespassing, and became good at it. At one point, though, she was caught sneaking into a building, and was fined as a result. Her parents did not appreciate this.

After Kathleen’s parents became more strict about her urban exploration hobby, she got more into astrology and cosplaying. After being shown tarot cards from a goth friend at John Endecott Memorial Academy, she found herself interested in the practice and other similar beliefs. She later bought her own deck of cards and taught herself to do readings.

She was also helped into cosplaying by another goth friend. She cosplayed a lot of popular video game characters, her favorite being Jill Valentine. At the same time, though, she found that it was a very expensive hobby, so she prefers cosplays that use normal clothes, or which are relatively cheap.

While trying to curry her family's favor after her urbex incident, she decided to take up a job at a local coffee shop, and Kathleen really liked it. In a short time, she became quite adept at latte art, becoming one of the best workers at her job. She likes the job overall, but the latte art is her favorite, as it feels much more creative than the other parts of the job.

Other than that, in her spare time, she very frequently plays games, mostly single player or cooperative based games. Rarely, she also plays games like League of Legends, Valorant, or other FPS and MOBA games. She picked up this hobby very young, back when her family still lived in Russia. She likes the fast-past excitement of the games, since they keep her on her toes.

At school, Kathleen has some friends, but only a few, most are other goths. She feels comfortable with them, but not as much with other people, as she is still quite shy and quiet. She also has some goth friends from outside of school. At home, Kathleen has a slightly tense relationship with her parents, as she feels they are somewhat strict, while they feel she is irresponsible.

Kathleen is loyal to her friends, and works hard to make sure she keeps them. Kathleen doesn't lie to them, always tries to treat them the way they deserve to be treated, and often stood up for them despite being more socially reserved. But among her friends, Kathleen is considered to be very reliable and generally treats them all well. Because of this, people find Kathleen very trustworthy.

Kathleen does alright in school, if not spectacular, and plans to attend college in the future, but hasn’t quite decided what she wants to do. She is having trouble grasping the idea of working towards a permanent path through life, and feels a little worried about that uncertainty.

Advantages: Kathleen is agile and a fast runner, due to her time in urbex, and she could run away from threats. Kathleen is also quite reliable in a pinch, having the trust of her few friends. Also, Kathleen might be able to use her minor lockpicking abilities to open doors
Disadvantages: Kathleen is shy and awkward, and will have trouble making friends and allies. Kathleen is, also, quite weak on a strength level, as she is frail, and will do poorly in a fight.
