Appearance: Quentin is a big boy, with a height of 6'3" and a weight of 230 pounds, making him overweight with a chubby frame. He is often found slouching, making him appear smaller than he actually is. His face is round and he has a visible double chin. Quentin isn’t able to grow a proper beard, so he prefers to keep his face clean shaven. His light brown hair is styled up in a quiff; it's long on the top and short on the sides. He has brown eyes, a stubby nose and a pale complexion.

Quentin likes to dress in what he considers fashionable, usually wearing button up shirts with a few accessories. On the day of abduction he wore a striped black-and-white shirt under a long black overcoat, with black pants and white sneakers as well as red leather gloves and a red beanie. He wears a golden chain on his neck.

Biography: Quentin Broadus Skinner was born in Salem to Jim and Sabrina Skinner, who were both zookeepers at the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston. He had a comfortable upbringing. His parents would spoil him and give him whatever he wanted. He was a very talkative and energetic child, and his parents were fine to let him run around the backyard until he tired.

By the time Quentin entered elementary school he was already unusually chubby and tall for his age, which led his classmates to mock him. His angry reactions to the mockery were always loud and overdramatic, which amused the bullies and made them want to pick on him even more. His teachers noticed this and tried to fix the problem through consultation sessions with Quentin and the bullies; they also informed his parents about the bullying. His parents, worried about him, would then try to be very considerate around Quentin, trying to boost his self-esteem. They put him in child therapy as well; the problems persisted for a few more years, but with effort Quentin eventually learned to better regulate his emotions. He still experienced some bullying, but he was able to deal with it in a healthier way. He was still a very sociable kid, and he gained a lot of friends, preferring to associate with the nerdier and unpopular kids.

At the age of twelve he was taught to cook by his parents, a hobby he grew to love. He loved watching cooking shows, especially shows hosted by Gordon Ramsey, who Quentin loved due to his entertainment factor. He also grew to love Jamie Oliver and a few cooking youtubers, such as Binging with Babish. Quentin’s favorite part of cooking is how free and creative he can get with some of his recipes.

Quentin was fascinated with movies as a child and wanted to become a director when he grew up. He’d make funny videos with his friends, first with his parents’ camcorder and then eventually with his cellphone. But as he grew older, his dream died as he realized how difficult and unlikely it would be to become a successful director. But he still kept watching movies, with a special interest in examining small details and learning trivia. He began posting detailed movie reviews to IMDB. He loved to discuss movies with his friends as well, often annoying them with constant bits of trivia. He took pride in knowing obscure bits of knowledge, and in showing off that knowledge. In his puberty years, he got especially annoying by spoiling movies to friends and strangers alike to show off his knowledge. Due to the immense negative reactions to this behaviour, he stopped doing that. He started watching mature movies at a young age, and as he grew, his favorite directors became David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino, and Francis Ford Coppola.

By the time Quentin reached high school he’d learned to be very friendly and relaxed with his peers. He was outgoing and gained a lot of friends, rarely ever showing his anger towards anyone. He also realized he was very overweight, and feared mockery for it. Quentin lost some weight through cycling and counting calories, but he was unable to ever get into a healthy weight range.

Quentin habitually overeats sweets and engages in occasional binge eating sessions to relieve stress, a bad habit he has never been able to overcome. Quentin grew to be very self-loathing, and he’s always paranoid that his classmates might mock him behind his back for being fat or annoying. He envies other people he feels to be more beautiful or charismatic than him. His insecurity leads him to be very socially active, attending every social event he can for fear of missing out.

In class, he prioritizes talking to his classmates over paying attention to the lessons. This behavior has earned him mediocre grades and the distaste of many teachers. After his parents were contacted about the behavior multiple times, they eventually scolded him for it, which led Quentin to become quieter in class. Still, he gets distracted easily and whispers to people when the teacher isn’t paying attention to him. His favorite class is English, as he has some background knowledge of stylistic devices due to him watching movie reviewers and video essayists.

He joined the cooking club as well as the film club due to his passion for both of these hobbies. Outside of school he loves hanging out with his friends online. He casually plays lots of video games with his friends, such as Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, Rocket League and other popular online games. He enjoys the social element of gaming most of all, so he mostly plays multiplayer games. He still does sometimes play single player games, preferring plot-heavy games that he can analyze and discuss like they were movies, such as Bioshock and Metal Gear Solid.

He also watches streamers on twitch and is very interested in the art of speedrunning. He loves the competitiveness and the entertaining personalities of the streamers themselves. He got inspired to do it himself, so he started speedrunning some of his older PS3 games, such as Bioshock Infinite. He will sometimes stream these runs to a small group of viewers mostly consisting of his friends.

Musically, Quentin enjoys listening to 80's music over what’s currently popular. His mind was blown the first time he listened to Floral Shoppe and began digging deeper into vaporwave music. He discovered more vaporwave artists such as Blank Banshee and Yung Bae, and he likes to listen to vaporwave while smoking a joint.

Some of his friends introduced him to anime. Quentin doesn't see a big difference between animation and live action other than animated art being able to show things that live action can’t show as easily. His favorite type of anime is mature and artistic; he’s become especially interested in the works of Satoshi Kon, Mamoru Oshii, and Yoshiaki Kawajiri. He does also enjoy some anime series with mainstream popularity, his favorite being JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

As a teenager, Quentin’s friends began offering him marijuana. At first he refused, being scared of drugs, but at sixteen he tried his first joint at a party. He realized that it helped him deal with his pent-up stress and anger. He often uses weed to calm himself down, or consumes it to enjoy specific media such as bad movies or strange music. His parents noticed his marijuana habit and were not happy about it, so Quentin prefers to smoke while he’s out with friends or at parties. When he does smoke at home, he only smokes when his parents are out of the house and takes care to hide the smell afterwards. His parents suspect he might still be smoking, but choose not to make a big deal out of it, hoping he will grow out of the habit.

Quentin's family life is peaceful overall. His parents are usually very hands-off, only becoming assertive with him in instances where Quentin's bad habits become hard to ignore, like when his grades fall or when he stays out late too often. In those instances, Quentin placates their anger and tries to improve his behavior, though such improvements are usually temporary. When they want to spend time with Quentin, he goes along without complaint, even though he views the parent-son time as dull.

For the past year, Quentin has had a part-time waiter job at a local Greek restaurant. It can be very stressful at times, but his consumption of weed after work helps him relax. Quentin dreams of becoming a chef in the future; after school, he wants to apply for a culinary apprenticeship at a local business.

Advantages: Quentin is bigger than most of his classmates, which gives him a physical advantage in hand-to-hand fights. He has many friends and is thus well-connected among his classmates. Quentin knows some emotion regulation skills to help keep calm.
Disadvantages: Quentin’s stamina is poor due to being overweight. Quentin's insecurity can lead him to become envious and paranoid about others with little provocation. Quentin has a lot of repressed anger, and without marijuana he will have a harder time coping with it.
