An idea that's been floating around in my hood for a hot minute now, I propose this thread as a repository not of characters' interpersonal relationships, but the gossip, rumours, mudslinging and other salacious implications they might say about each other. Be it rooted in truth, speculation, or sheer spite, here's the place to share what people ought to be saying abour your kid... or what your kid is saying about others.

I'll start with a couple:

It's hard to believe that Heather Klein suddenly got so swole just from hard work and doing her homework on nutrition, she must be using steroids. Makes sense, she seems to be able to get hold of other controlled substances anyway.

Some people reckon the official story with Artemis Cavallo's father was made up, and actually she did it.

Ever since Claude O'Neil Porter turned her down, Mercedes Myers-Colman has been suggesting that she "heard somewhere" that he's gay.

Then again, he spends an awful lot of time with Grace Wills. I've heard she's a lesbian - I mean, look at her, almost as butch as Heather - but maybe there's something going on between those two?

Wade Colter has it on “good authority” that the reason Marino got kicked out of his old school was because he crapped himself in public.

Specific details such as where this happened, why this happened, and whether he crapped on someone are inconsistent, but you can totally trust that Wade is speaking honestly and not because he fucking hates Marino. Wade is to upstanding to spread rumours that aren’t true.

Marino:
There are rumors that there's video evidence of a younger Marino nearly killing a student. Each video recalls this event happening off school grounds and Marino using an aluminum bat to bash his classmate's head out. With all video evidence deleted from the internet, nobody would dare ask Marino for confirmation.

Remi:
There is a rumor that Remi quit the swim team because she was suspected of the use of drug enhancements. When confronting either Remi or anyone on the swim team, they will deny this accusation. Moreover, Remi will be visibly pissed when you ask, so best not to ask.

Ronnie The Rattlesnake:
There is a suspicion that one of Ronnie's dances is almost similar to one of TheLondyn_Lad's old TikTok dance videos. This is most likely a coincidence and is probably false.

While I can't really think of anything for Mortimer, some of my other three girlbosses do have some things.

Emma:

While not completely confirmed and could require Jacob's input, Emma may have physically assaulted Edwin Castellaneta for getting her in trouble with the police. Emma's response was attacking and laying out Edwin as a warning and may have some homicidal tendencies against him as a result.

Joanne:

Naturally, there is a rumor for someone shooting for a queen bee with the usual party rumors, though there is gossip that due to her wealth, she arranges for bribes within the student council and during student elections.

Vanessa:

Even Vanessa isn't safe from the run-of-the-mill gossip and stories about her. It ranges from gossip that she is dating a girl obviously shorter than her, stories about her Southern family in general, and the belief that her unusual height and muscle growth could be due to an early-staged syndrome that gives Vanessa higher than usual estrogen to explain her body.

Beau: There's a rumor that Beau Larkfinn could be hiding something about his body, usually by wearing long clothes that cover his arms and legs. One student noticed that he always opts to undress in the bathroom stalls rather than the locker rooms for Phys Ed. Another student recalled a strange marking behind his neck; Beau quickly hid his neck with his jacket when asked about it.

Marino: Another rumor about Marino Jaivira is that he has a habit of naming inanimate objects with severe value to him, an example being his collection of baseball trophies. The current names of some of his trophies are Mare, Lina, Jane, Abby, Dani, and Elle. Another example would be his baseball bat, Bree, whom he calls his "dirty girl." (For reference, look at that one scene from Surf's Up)

Kiplyn: There are so many rumors about this guy you could right a 'choose-your-own-adventure' book about, all about his life before coming to live with his uncle, and not helped by Kip himself stirring the pot to avoid the truth coming out. The main one that sticks out, however, is the one that started it all - supposedly, around early freshman year, Kiplyn had an emotional breakdown in a school bathroom, sobbing quietly to himself, and when he thought someone had been listening in on it, attempted to break a stall door down in an attempt to attack them.

Rezariza: It's well known that Rezariza is the school's digital art kid, and most notably working and aspiring to be an animator. Rumor has it that she's been planning to make an animated short for her application to art school, and is looking for anyone at school interested in voice acting rather than professionals because she doesn't want to pay much for the work.
