Claude O'Neil Porter

#1

Post by Magnum 0pus »

Name: Claude O'Neil Porter
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Grade: 12
School: Southwest Red Rock High school
Hobbies and Interests: Baseball, boxing, listening to music, writing random stories that come to his mind, camping, hiking, his pets, bunnies, snakes, dogs, singing (secret hobby), horror movies (specifically older black and white films and slasher flicks), taking care of his grandfather, latex masks (buying and creating them), kaiju movies, catching up with his sister, fighting games, skateboarding, driving around town in his car.

Appearance: Claude is a tall and broad-shouldered young man who stands at 6'7" and weighing in at 265 pounds with an athletic and stocky build that is similar to those of the average baseball pitcher; a short and well-built torso, longer and muscular arms, and a pair of just as long and toned legs.

The shape of his face is long and diamond-like, giving him a sort of "handsome" appearance. His eyes have auburn brown irises and are downturned in shape. What he has in terms of hair is chestnut in color, medium-length, and generally shaggy and wavy in shape. Two scars are visible near and at the end of his left eyebrow along with a scar on his hairline.

Because of his fathers and grandfather's genes, he's already got a very hardened facial structure. The eyebrows on his face are furrowed slightly inward, combine that with his downturned shaped eyes and ever-present neutral frown, and Claude always seems to have a serious expression on his face.

Because he wasn't introduced to many modern trends growing up, Claude tends to dress up in clothes that were considered the norm during and throughout the 20th century; some days he could be wearing an outfit akin to what a greaser, jock, or general teen would wear during the 40's-50's-60's, other days his outfit would be similar to what the youth from the 70's-80's-90's would wear. Some examples of his outfits are as follow; a casual, striped white and blue dress shirt with rolled up sleeves that's tucked into a pair of black slacks and a pair of plain brown Oxfords (40's inspired), an outfit that consists of black leather jackets with a plain white t-shirt/denim vests with ripped sleeves and basic t-shirt that tends to have an image of a cartoon character on it/casual button-up shirts that have basic vertical stripe patterns and are usually a muted color like gray, all of which are usually combined with a pair of faded jeans and a pair of either classic Converse or coffee-brown desert boots (50's inspired), a classic varsity letterman jacket that's red and white with the number 29 on the back with another pair of jeans, this time in better condition, with the same pair of Converse (50's-60's inspired), a brown leather bomber jacket with a casual dress shirt that has plain colors and short sleeves and tucked into bell bottom jeans/gray wranglers slacks with a pair of sneakers (70's inspired), an olive green and navy blue tracksuit and a pair of white sneakers (80's inspired), an open flannel shirt with a long sleeved t-shirt that has the logo of a rock band from that era with a pair of slightly ripped jeans and a pair of leather ankle boots (90's inspired), and finally, an outfit of his that could be considered modern; a sage green bomber jacket with a loose fitting white t-shirt and basic khaki cargo pants with casual boots/running sneakers (2000-10-20's inspired?). These are just a few examples of the outfits he wears since he owns many more.

Biography: Claude is what many would call a calm and collected young man who is kind and friendly to most. He didn't have a troubled childhood, but he also didn't experience a really normal one, so to speak. For the most part, he's lived a great life, at best- with him not having known his parents all that much due to the fact that they both died in a plane crash whilst on a business trip when he was still a baby. They had left him in the care of his grandparents on his father's side before the fatal accident took their lives. His grandparents, who were named Guillaume Hervé O'Neil and Naomi Forrester, lived in an upper-middle class two floor home within Red Rock, so it was a great environment for him.

After that, Claude's grandparents figured it was only right they took care of the then one year old infant and his five year old sister, Lucie. So, they did just that. Every part of his life was given proper parental guidance as his grandparents introduced him to the many things that they themselves were entertained with when they were younger. Because of this, the boy would start spending most of his childhood playing outside and hiking with his family or friends and participating in team-oriented sports; mostly baseball.

It wasn't much to watch a little league team that consisted of kids who were no older than four or five play baseball against another team with the same age for its player. But, when everyone saw just how fast Claude pitched the ball in his first ever match... they were stunned, to say the least. Out of everyone, however, his grandfather was the one who saw great potential in his grandson. Because right after the game ended and everyone went home, Claude was sat down by his grandparents so they could talk to him about baseball and how he could "Achieve great things!" should he choose to start practicing and taking it all much more seriously. Which he responded with an innocent "Okay!" When all was said and done, the young child would go on to spend the years of his life at the time all the way up until he was five years old. That was when his grandparents started to realize his intellect was still reminiscent of that of a preschool student. Meaning that they would have to enroll him into school, and they did.

When he was enrolled in preschool at five years old, he was, of course, much bigger than his classmates. It made him rather popular among his alumni- he always found himself to be the first one to be picked whenever physical activities were on the agenda on any school day.

Alongside preschool, his grandfather would have him continue to practice and train for baseball whenever they could; that being most days of Claude's early childhood. Up until he was at the age of eleven, his grandmother suddenly passed away in her sleep one peaceful night. Each step of progress and growth his grandpa pushed him to make towards baseball suddenly ceased soon after... because of the fact that his grandpa took to drinking from the bottle in hopes of coping. Claude himself felt absolutely downtrodden by the death of his caring and gentle grandmother, but the sight of his once strong and tough grandfather turning to drinking from bottles of alcohol to cope made the kid feel like he shouldn't turn to cheap and self-destructive ways of coping with tragedy. Instead, he did his best to keep on training for baseball and improving his skills; causing him to learn he could swing a baseball bat pretty... good.

Unfortunately, his grandfather practically began to force the boy to quit training and start focusing more on his education and studies. Quite frankly, things were starting to look grim for Claude since he found out that he was doing poorly in his studies- so he decided to do just what his grandfather told him and start focusing more on school and less on baseball. And for a while, it seemed that this would soon become the new norm for his life before his grandfather suddenly dragged himself out of his depression and quickly made the then thirteen year old Claude go back to practicing and improving his baseball skills.

For a few months, Claude found himself back to focusing on the one thing he was good at, and that, just as before, quickly changed one day when he got into his first fight at school one day. It was during the fight that he discovered a few new things about himself; he was phenomenal at clobbering people with his two fists, his constant training over the years bestowed upon him great physical strength, endurance, stamina, and durability, and he was quite fast on top of all that. But, there was one downside that he found out about himself the hard way... he had a glass jaw.

Now, just how Claude found out the hard way about his glass jaw is quite simple; the person he got into a fight with hit him with a weak, but well-placed haymaker on the left side of his jaw, causing it to fracture almost instantly. But at the same time, his right fist popped the other boy right into his nose, breaking it as well. Both kids fell to the ground, clutching their faces before they were both promptly escorted by school staff to the nurses office. From there, Claude’s grandpa was called to pick him up and take him home, which he did. The ride home was silent, and when they finally got home, Claude was sat down by his grandfather who wasn’t necessarily mad at him, instead, he was just shocked that his son was supposedly downed by a weak haymaker. But apparently, from what he was told, the other kid had taken the brunt of the fight as he was in a much worse condition than Claude was. This intrigued him, to say the least, and his grandfather decided to sign him up for boxing lessons at the boxing gym he owns and occasionally coaches at once his fractured jaw was healed. He was curious to see how his grandson would fare, and he was not disappointed. When his grandfather began coaching him and saw how he took to becoming skilled, his grandfather Guillaume would decide to start training Claude at baseball once again, this time with him also undergoing the boxing lessons he was personally coaching him for. At the same time, he would be taught lessons and tips that his grandfather learned in his youth and when he fought in Vietnam.

Despite all this, Claude, his sister Lucie, and his grandfather Guillaume were each still reeling from the passing of Naomi. It would take a while for all of them to figure out a way to truly come to accept and move on from her passing, but eventually, they all came up with the same idea; adopting a pet! They each had their own suggestions on what to adopt with Claude suggesting a dog, Lucie suggesting a bunny, and Guillaume suggesting a snake. One day, out of the blue, Guillaume would go out shopping only to come back home later that day with three animals that he adopted; a Cane Corso that Claude named Rockwell, a French lop that Lucie named Lou, and a ball python that their grandfather named Jolie. And so, Claude and his family would end up being pulled out of their downtrodden mood caused by the passing of Naomi with the introduction of their new pets into the family.

Years would pass by, with Claude growing into a big strong boy due to his physically demanding lifestyle. His sister Lucie would end up leaving Vegas to go to an out of state college for four years, so it was just him, his grandfather Guillaume, and their three pets in the house they lived in. Along the way as he grew up, he met fellow students that he became best and close friends with rather easily due to how nice and friendly he was; some he met under strange circumstances, others he met in what felt like a destined meeting. When he entered high school, he immediately signed up and tried out for the Red Rock High baseball team; safe to say he made it onto the team with flying colors. The coach considered him a star, and he was made the pitcher and his own batter. All in all, it was a great time for Claude! His nice and friendly nature also made it easy for the number of friends he had to grow until he was friends with nearly everyone in the school.

His friendships would continue to grow, and his home life would start to become a bit lonely when he turned 16 when his older sister was suddenly hired for a wildlife job that had her traveling around the world very frequently with her only ever dropping by and staying at the house once in a while for a week or two before leaving once again to continue traveling. Safe to say, Claude misses his sister Lucie, and whenever she's home, they both catch up and hang out with their grandpa.

Time would go on for Claude; his nice and friendly nature made him one of the most popular kids in Red Rock High school. But of course, he has gotten into his fair share of fights in school, many of which he has won. This has garnered him a sort of gentle giant reputation within Red Rock High; so long as no one tries to do anything stupid, he won't do anything back.

In other news, Claude would start working in a warehouse, pick up and start doing hobbies that caught his interest, continue to excel at baseball and keep on with his training, working out at a gym constantly, and keep on with his boxing lessons. All in all, Claude was taking care of himself very well, with his social life still being at its best with his future looking bright!

Advantages: Claude, of course, is very physically athletic and fit due to the training and exercise he has undergone through most of his life, even then, it's surprising to see how athletic he is despite his size. Another aspect of Claude's physicality is his substantial physical strength, he is stronger than damn near every student within Red Rock High, which makes him capable of easily overpowering others if need be. His fighting capabilities are exceptional due to his boxing experience, making him very technical and have quick reflexes. Both Claude's boxing and baseball experience have gifted him many things like impeccable hand-eye coordination, immaculate reaction speed, and superb footwork. Because of his experience and skill/talent at both pitching and batting in baseball, Claude is able to throw objects with his hands very far, accurately, powerfully, and extremely quickly, as well as being able to masterfully swing a baseball bat or any object of similar size, shape and/or weight. Claude's reputation as the popular gentle giant jock who is friends with everyone in school would make it easy for him to find allies. What's more, his charisma allows him to be able to defuse a tense situation rather easily if he picks what words to say correctly. In no way is he a pushover, he is just nice and friendly to everyone, and he knows that people tend to think that about him and so he uses that to his advantage when the time is right. If he is met with physical violence for whatever reason, he is quick to respond in the same way. He was taught by his grandfather how to efficiently use a med kit to patch up injuries, live off the wilderness, and how to differentiate between what is poisonous to people and what isn't, among a few other things. One thing about him is that he can't be swayed or fooled that easily.
Disadvantages: One thing about Claude is he is extremely patient, a bit too patient, as he lets way too much fly before he actually does something about it. When he does react, he becomes extremely confrontational, violent, and very “up in your face” which leads to him making rash decisions and very poor ones at that. Because of how big he is, Claude is unable to/finds it hard to traverse through small spaces or hide in most places. This also means that he is a much bigger target and can be picked off rather easily due to how much he stands out. Despite how strong he is, Claude is still human, so he can be overwhelmed by any group of people if they are coordinated enough to take him down. His glass jaw/weak chin is the biggest weakness of his body, he can't handle a moderately powerful punch to it without suffering injury to it. This has led him to dodge out of the way of any attacks aimed at his jaw/chin, with him taking priority in doing so, much to his detriment due how focused he gets on dodging without paying attention to anything else while doing so if it occurs. Even though he is an amazing striker due to his boxing experience, he has little to no grappling experience as he tends to simply lift and heave anyone if the situation calls for it. Claude tends to be sensitive about his grandparents, and tends to lash out rather violently and blindly when someone speaks ill of them. Doing so makes him act with reckless abandon, making him much more easy to read as he just tries to fight without technique and simply using his raw strength.
