I'm wary to jump on a train, I'm just going off of like, basic wiki browsing and like, just what makes sense to me. I'm historically pretty ineffective in mafia games as I barely know what's going on. Would be nice to hear from everyone before we all pile on the one person who's confirmed to be trustworthy (i think?).

I actually think Cactus comes across looking Town in this. It reads like a genuinely confused player trying to come up with something. (This is bolstered by Cactus being a little prone to getting lost when stuff got weird in the last game or two we played)

Kermit reads like Schrodinger's jokevote. If lynch then great. If not, then laugh it off

You beat me to the post, but yeah, I clarified my stance a bit.

Lol. Yep. I routinely have no idea wtf is going on. At least we're all on the same page with that. XD

i know... quite a lot about paranoia. dodd's on the right track. the name "paranoia" is what it is for a reason; the whole point is that ur constantly Paranoid™ about being accused of being a traitor and searching for signs that others are traitors so u can get them caught before they find some reason to suspect you. having all the dead just labeled as traitors is another good way to foster paranoia.

tbh i had a feeling this was gonna be the case when irina's lynch came up and now i'm basically sure of it. in an 8-person game there can't be more than 2 mafia.

Hard part is, I feel useless if I'm not critiquing active players, but half the cast is inactive.

This is a problem.

@Friend Computer - May you prod people early/now so we can have a better, more democricier discussion with them?

Right now, my list looks like:

Town > Cactus > Fenris > Kermit > Scum

@Sh4de and Jimmy - Hi!

@ Vyse: because it says "traitor" and not "mafia". obviously it could just be a flavor thing for mafia but when i saw that my first thought was what i said before about how paranoia works, aka everyone seems to be a traitor. it was just a feeling at the time, now i'm sure.

also worth mentioning is that "Hygiene Officer" and "Loyalty Officer" are also flavor things, if we want to get into that. there are 6 roles in standard paranoia, which includes 5 officers and the team leader, which is something that i should have made a connection to before now. the team leader isn't actually any less likely to be a traitor or anything tho. there are only six, which makes me immediately wonder if the actual mafia are the two non-officers, but that would mean this game wouldn't have worked with more people and MW didn't close the game at 8 or anything, so that seems unlikely. i'd be curious as to what flavor people have though. (this isn't a call for a flavor claim yet, don't want to ask for that without consensus)

Based on past conversations with Murder, I find it unlikely that the game could be solved based on flavor.

hm. well, i stand by the deduction re: everyone being called a traitor after death based on evidence. i also did say that flavor re: roles is unlikely to be a significant clue because if it were the number of players would have to be pretty specific. i'll keep that in mind and try to not flavor-explain yall to death, tho. i was mostly just wondering if MW made up officer roles for the other two players or if they have something different, but i don't think that's telling re: scum, i'm just curious as to flavor setup. :p

Hey there town! I’m in agreement with Fenris that this really seems like an “everyone is a traitor” scenario. While the game wouldn’t be solely based on flavour, I feel like the flavour would play a large role in determining the make of the game. Bear in mind, we are in the bastard of all bastard games. The balancing of this game is going to whack as hell and conventional mafia logic may not be the best thing considering the scenario.

I feel like that comes off way more snide than I mean it, but it would be cool to get an idea of where you do want to explore?
