At this point there should be zero ambiguity that this is a bastard game
I love how you pick up this text out of context and turn it into a strawman. Here's my actual quote.
VirtuePresident wrote:The thing is, if everyone has a clone, (can confirm I have one too, though I thought it was a leader thing. Apparently not.) Boogie was either shot twice last night or Strongman-killed. That means scum almost certainly targeted Boogie. Kermit does not claim I targeted Boogie, ergo I did not kill anyone. (The only way this is false is if Town had a Strongman kill, or there are three total killers. To those theories...all I can say is lol. Not realistic in a game this size.)
More than that, I didn't target Cactus last night at all. I literally had no action to do so that night phase even if I wanted.
This means that Kermit isn't just misplaying, he's lying. (Or there are Bastard mechanics at play, but...how does one reasonably account for that without throwing commonsense entirely by the wayside? I've touched on this before but Kermit is not a good Townread anyway.)
Oh look. Suddenly, I'm not an idiot going 'alphalul no way ur in bastard game!!2!" I'm making the point that, while this could be Bastard mechanics, that's a circular form of logic - and there isn't much reason to trust you anyway. Commonsense dictates you are scum. I see no reason to ignore common sense.
It's almost like I made a case and you just ignored it.
It's almost like...treason. (I freaking love this flavor FYI)

could you touch on it again all I seem to remember is "that kermit guy sure is making jokes" and "that there vote on me looks like kermit pretending to be joking but actually HE'S EVIL AND BAD"
Again a strawman, but sure. Let me do that in another post after this one.
It's not me saying "Aha my scumread was right all along!" It's not elaborate. It's just me saying "Yeah no, I'm not reading him as misguided Town"
Hermit wrote:RICEPRESIDENT wrote:Kermit's case has a massive and obvious hole in it
what is it? You can say "WOW FAKE NEWS" but without actually pointing out what the hole is, it just looks like you're misleading people.
May I direct you to my very first post, t hat you have already cherry picked in a deliberate way to make me look bad? And thus you clearly know what that case is?
If you can't even spare that little effort for the sake of Friend Computer, Kermit, I will oblige by requoting.
AceAttornyVysePresident wrote:Ok, this is actually interesting, because Kermit's case is provably and obviously false.

I can full-claim, but given how Kermit's case has a massive and obvious hole in it, I'm going to refrain from claiming unless I have to.
That said, between my already nullish-scum read Kermit's demonstrably false claim:
Funny how you claim I'm shouting FAKE NEWS while....utterly ignoring what's right in front of you can claiming it doesn't exist.
Kermit wrote:President Evil wrote:I'm going to refrain from claiming unless I have to.
Why not???????????? Friend Computer outed you as the Team Leader and you literally just said you have no night action. Seems like everything's already all out in the open unless YOU'RE HIDING SOMETHING.
I am.
It's kinda meh, but lame point from you regardless. Even if I were vanilla (I'm arguably not) it doesn't serve Town to say it. I could snark about flailing scum trying to latch onto any point and twist it into a scumread, but obviously I am a better person than that. :p

What math?????????????????????
Fake news, amirite?
Germit wrote:Fast Posting Man wrote:Lol, I'd forgotten this this idea had cropped up. Funny how someone in a Bastard game happened to have a guilty result happened immediately as the phase began - even though that guilty actually makes no sense.
Thank you, Boogie.
ok but what boogie said someone could do and what you said I'm doing are Not The Same Thing
boogie: "what if there's someone who's role PM says for them to be wary of the team leader"
you: "what if kermit is a lying liarface"
[/quote]
I love how you twist Boogie's words, AND cut the quote so that people can't even see it. Here's the quote again, below:
Boogie wrote:unrelated baseless speculation: could vyse's Team Leader or w/e status being announced be because he's being targeted by another role, in some way or another? like, a lover or a lyncher, but instead of just being given Vyse's name in the role PM, they get told to watch out for the role announcement in the thread, because this is a bastard game and it'd serve to confuse everyone?
Yeah, darn. That definitely sounds like "Watch out for Vyse!!!2!22!!!"
But even if he really said that, my point stands. Really convenient how you have a guilty result you trust so much in a bastard game, the very first phase it's possible to claim such.
