A solitary cottage that sets off by itself, away from the main settlement. It's a simple place of only four rooms, and it was probably the island home of one of the higher-ups on the military base at one time. Outside sits a small well that it's hard to see the bottom of, even in the middle of the day. Overall, the place has a peaceful atmosphere... one that begs to be destroyed.

((Continued from Dead Man Wade))

Stepping along a dirt path, Wade Wilson was thankful that he'd finally been able to get that godawful Chris Cornell song out of his head. Not knowing as to why he'd started humming it in the first place, nor why it seemed to stick there for as long as it did, he cautiously ensured that he wouldn't trip and fall over anything as he made his way upon the makeshift path. It'd been about six hours since he'd started walking from where he'd awoken, and Wade was definitely beginning to feel just a little fatigued.

"There's the understatement of the bloody year..."

Mumbling to no one in particular, Wade traipsed through the jungle, hoping to find some semblance of humanity - if any still remained here.

Hey, that'd be pretty solid. Wake up, scream something at the cameras, but everyone's already dead, so I win, get to go home, and all the while without any of the vicious mental scarring that goes along with it. In a perfect world, I suppose...

As Wade made his way through the underbrush, whacking aside stray vines and leaves with his nightstick, he saw that the foliage was beginning to get lighter and lighter, hopefully meaning that he was coming back to some beacon of human civilization again.

"Heh...foliage. That word just isn't used enough in casual conversation. Foliage. Foll-eee-age."

Finally coming to a small clearing, Wade peered through the bushes and saw what appeared to be a small cottage-like structure sitting approximately ten or fifteen feet away from him. Crouching down as to avoid being spotted by anyone within the immediate viscinity, Wade furrowed his brow and shook his head a bit to try and clear out the fog that had set in around his head. Things were still not easy to make sense of, thanks to the lack of medication, and he hoped that he could keep it together long enough to perhaps find some sort of medicine or even a bottle of booze might do the trick...anything to keep his head where it should be.

As he spotted what appeared to be a girl hesitantly move into his point of view, he scanned the faces and names that he knew from school to try and place her. Watching as the girl wandered to the door and pulled on it, finding it locked, Wade's suspicions began to rise a little bit. Obviously, if the door was locked, there were likely people who were bound to be within the small building, which - if they were hostile, might leave him with a small problem. The girl at the door (whose name he couldn't quite remember) seemed to hear something, and hurried off to hide herself in the bushes, much like Wade was doing himself. In fact, the girl was so close that if she moved back a bit and looked to her left, she would in fact see Wade crouching, doing basically the same thing as she was.

"Hmm...I don't...FEEL drunk..."

Mumbling under his breath to himself what could nonsensically only be a line from some movie Wade had seen what seemed like an eternity ago, he leaned backwards himself and waved at the girl hiding in the bushes, completely announcing his presence to her without saying much of anything. It'd probably scare the living daylights out of her, but if the other girl (who Wade had now noticed exiting the cottage) was dangerous like this first girl seemed to think she was, Wade might be better suited teaming up with someone who seemed as scared as he knew he should be feeling.

Lousy mental illness. I know I should be scared, but all I can think of are spontaneously nonsensical pop culture references and shitty Chris Cornell songs. What the HELL!? This got old like five years ago, along with Britney Spears and Scientology!

"FUCK CHRIS CORNELL!"

Wade's loud exclaimation startled himself, and probably the girl who he'd just waved at. Shutting his eyes in frustration, Wade let his head drop and mouthed a very visible curse word at himself. His internal monologue was becoming very difficult to seperate from his external voice, and he had now completely given away his cover. Looking at the girl in the bushes again, Wade mouthed "sorry" and motioned for her to stay where she was. If his idiocy had given his own position away, she shouldn't have to suffer for it if the girl from the cottage proved threatening. Shrugging to the bushes-girl (which he figured served as good a name for her as any, being as he didn't recognize her), Wade slowly stood up and after taking a deep breath emerged from the jungle, walking slowly towards the girl in front of the cottage. Holding the nightstick in his hands, he twirled it around a few times (rather clumsily) and then stopped, pausing once to use the stick to scratch his own back. Walking towards the other girl, he stopped about six feet in front of her, and looked at her.

This girl seems a little more familiar than bushes-girl over there, anyways...Frosty...the snowman? No, this girl's last name is Frosty...or Frost...Melina, maybe? Like the Mortal Kombat character? Damnit, why am I so shitty with names...?

Pausing, he scratched his back again with the nightstick, and broke the silence from the very-likely surprised girl who moments before had been alone.

"Hola, Madame. Je m'appelle Bacon. Est-ce tu as un sandwich?"

Smiling a little bit, but at the same time annoyed with his lack of sensibility, Wade strained himself to try and get his mind back on track.

"Sorry, I'm not really Bacon. The name's actually Wilson. Wade Wilson. Sort of like the volleyball from that Tom Hanks movie. Except...a lot less...round and a lot less spikable. So what's a girl like you doing in a neck of the woods like this? And when I say a girl like you, I really just mean: wow, this whole deal is disturbing the bejeesus out of me and you're the first human being I've seen in three days. So. Uh. What's up?"

Wade grinned sheepishly, and shrugged at the girl, giving the impression that his guard was down and he wasn't sure what to do. The reality of the situation was that the part of Wade's mind that was still under the influence of his medication was deeply concerned at the current situation. Judging by the smug and somewhat disturbing look on this girl's face, something seemed off - but he'd have to play this by ear, and see what happened next.

Jessa was unbound and rolled onto her back, her whole body still tingling from admittedly the best orgasm she'd ever had. She wasn't sure what exactly had made it so; she wasn't a dyke, so that wasn't it...was it the bondage?

'Oh my god I'm a bondage freak.'

The crazy bitch was apparently Melina, and Jessa was apparently part of her harem now. She seemed awfully confident that Jessa wouldn't just say "fuck you" and leave. She mumbled unintelligibly as she cleaned herself up with the sheets, embarrassed and still a little unclear as to why this strange girl had just fucked her with a vase. Hastily she put on her clothes, aiming to leave out the window Melina had entered from, but as she got to her shoes Jessa paused.

"..."

Melina had a group. Did that mean they weren't playing, or were just playing selectively? Jessa wrinkled her nose and thought of another two or three girls having been "initiated" the same way, and shook her head. This chick was all kinds of fucked-up. Either way, Jessa had a much better chance in a group than she had by herself. Besides, she had a score to settle. If this bitch was stupid enough to trust her, she'd make sure to enlighten her a bit, when the opportunity arose.

'Still...that was something else.'

Jessa went over to the open window and shut it. At the very least she could take comfort in knowing that nobody else saw the spectacle. "Soon it'll be your turn to beg," she muttered, grabbing the glass shard on her way out. "Bitch."

((Renee Valenti continued from Lady So Divine))

Renee, as it happened, had gotten lost. Or rather, she'd overslept a bit only to wake up to find Melina far in the distance from where they'd made camp. She wasn't about to wait for the others to wake up (though she wasn't going to try risking whacking everyone who was sleeping then and there either.) Fortunately, the cottage was the nearby landmark. She climbed over the fence closer to the kitchen end of the house and once safely landed, armed her bow and arrow.

"The window's open..." she said softly to herself as she looked down the gap between the fence and the house. Thankfully, Melina had also left her bags by the window as well. It wasn't hard to tell those were hers, as her surname was stenciled on them underneath the number, so she was definitely nearby. Anything that was going to go down here would most certainly be heated, she thought as she approached the window. Of course, even as she started to hear what was going on inside, she never expected it to be heated like that as she peered through the window to find Melina doing what she did best.

And quite frankly, she couldn't help but watch.

She gasped and ducked low just as the spectacle she was witnessing reached its literal climax. Renee found herself breathing rapidly as she slowly snuck away from the window, which she could hear being shut behind her. It didn't quite distract her from the images of what she'd seen replaying in her mind when she heard someone shouting, and footsteps approaching from the other end. Quite frankly, what she'd seen had turned her on too, and she could unconsciously feel her right hand put the arrow down on the ground before and sliding to her own crotch to...

Another footstep seemed to shatter her newfound "concentration" as Renee quickly cocked her gaze to the side in double-take fashion only to find that Melina had already picked up her bags and was heading back around the front of the house.

"Melina! Wait!" Renee shouted as she got up, picked up the arrow and followed briskly after the other redhead...

Melina jumped a bit when she heard the other redhead call out to her. She turned sharply and gave the other girl a sharp glare. She didn't like being startled, and the fact that it had taken Renee this long to catch up to her was an outrage. Melina was not one who liked to wait around. She huffed and began to speak to the girl.

"Well, well, what took you so damn long?! And Where's Monique? Hmph… I found another who will be accompanying us. She's inside. When Monique gets here… let me rephrase that, IF Monique gets here, then we'll start to lay out a plan of action." She rolled her eyes and turned around, only to be startled once again.

This time it was a boy calling out to her. Melina was just about to tear her hair out. Why the hell were people so stupid? What kind of idiot just walks up to another person in this game? Oh well, it's his funeral she supposed. She grinned darkly and twirled the saw in her hand. She frowned a bit when she saw the baton in the boy's hand. She wouldn't mind getting a hold of that. He seemed a bit out of it anyway. Should be easy pickings.

"Oh My… I'm the first person you've seen eh? That's unfortunate…" She smiled mischievously. "Because it looks like I'll also be the LAST person you'll EVER see!" She yelled. She charged the boy with her saw held out ready to slash. She unrolled the chain and swung it at the boy, hoping to smack him in the head with the heavy iron. She slashed at him with the saw, and hoped that Renee would be smart enough to back her up should the battle turn against her favor.

((Monique continued from Lady So Divine))

Monique hobbled along through the thick forest, trying her best to keep up with the two girls who'd gone ahead of her. Though she ran almost everyday, it didn't stop her from tripping over a tree root in a hurry to catch up with the other girls. The fall had caused her to twist her ankle; a pain Monique had become all too familiar with in her years on the track team. When she'd gotten up, she found herself forced to walk with a slight limp until the muscle could reset itself.

She manged to come up to the cottage at a horribly slow pace, and she'd hoped the other girls hadn't left her behind and moved on. She wouldn't put it past them to do such a thing. Part of her had thought it would probably be safer for her to stay away from the other two girls, since she had no doubt eventually something bad would happen. That was the benefit Monique had of only hanging out with girls. She could understand what would go on. Inevitably it always came down to the same silly drama. But by the time it came to that, she would be in a much safer position. Hopefully she'd come across a gun, or at the very least have an escape route planned out. For now, she needed the strength that came in numbers, and the protection of a strong leader like Melina Frost.

The cottage seemed pretty peaceful from the outside where she'd approached it. It reminded her very much of her grandparent's cottage up in Quebec. She had fond memories of swimming in the lake, and riding on her grandfather's speedboat when he'd take it out for the summer. It was actually probably one of the few memories she'd have of her grandparents, since they'd died when she was 10, both within a couple months of each other. Both from the same type of cancer. But the fond memories Monique reminisced over at the sight of the cottage were instantly dissapated as she heard Melina shouting from the other side of the cottage.

She quickly moved around the side to see Melina lashing out at a nearby boy student Monique recognized as Wade from her geography class. "Ah mon dieu!" she cried out. She hid around the side of the cottage, not wanting to get herself involved in the fight, but watched Melina in action out of morbid curiosity. Part of her wanted to rush in and stop the fight, but she was held back by a fear of both Wade and a frenzied Melina. So she stood, and she watched the action unfold, helpless to do anything.

((Maxie continued from: Alive Out of Habit))

Alone and lovin' it. Make my own way and not relyin' on..

Maxie stopped and froze as she cleared the treeline. Up ahead, it looked as if two people were fighting. At that moment, Maxie would have dearly liked to turn tail and melt right back into the jungle. After all, this obviously wasn't anything to do with her. But... she never could resist the lure of a good scrap, and this one was no exception, lethal or not. Of course... fists were more Maxie's forte, but she didn't doubt she could do some damage with the meat hook. Wait, was she thinking about fighting just for the sake of it?

You are so gonna get y'self killed girl.

She shook that thought out of her head and pulled the meat hook out of her belt before hurrying towards the commotion. Sure, Maxie liked getting involved when a brawl broke out at party - pretty much regardless of the instigator. In chaos, it hardly mattered 'who started it' still, she wasn't going to lay into somebody with a weapon just because she was feeling frustrated and wanted to vent it. That was probably about the worst reason to kill a person ever, and Maxie wasn't about to become a murderer for that kind of reason.

On the approach, Maxie cupped her free hand to her mouth and shouted out, hoping to distract the pair's attention. She couldn't make it all out from here, but it looked like the fight was somewhat one sided, which meant that one of the people had attacked the other... Well... what other situation would it be in SOTF anyway?

"Hey what the fuck d'ya think you're doin'!? Ain't bein' on this damn island enough for ya?"

However, even as Maxie spoke, she knew it would be futile, the one on the offensive was Melina Frost, and if Maxie could pick one person to play the game, it would be her. Both girls were packaged into the 'delinquent' zone, but where Maxie was chaste, and proud of it, Melina was about as promiscuous as you got. A basic clash in morals like that was probably the reason they had never become friends. That, and Melina was a massive bitch.

Maxie sped up, growing closer by the moment, hoping she could rescue Melina's unfortunate victim before it was too late. Better yet, hoping he would rescue himself.

((So many people here I'm just thinking screw the turn order. =_=))

Melina wasn't exactly happy to see Renee, but there was little time for regret as Melina suddenly spotted her next "opportunity" and charged out for him. She could hear someone exclaim behind her, and did a half-panicked double take to look down the side of the cottage, only to find it was just Monique (warranting a sigh of relief). Now that she was in a real fight, Renee armed herself and leaned on the adjacent wall of the cottage to steady herself, and to make sure nobody else was right behind her. Still, it was going to be hard to aim with Melina's back turned to Renee and blocking her view of the target, and even though Renee knew how to work something like this, she was still no Olympic Archery champion.

It was then that someone else called out, causing Renee to notice that someone else was coming up the hill to stop Melina duking it out with Wade, and by the look of things whoever it was - she couldn't identify her from this distance - was going after Melina. This would mean bad news for Renee and Monique unless Renee could at least stop the newcomer from getting her hands on that 'massive bitch.' Renee adjusted her gaze and aim just to the side, where Maxie was fast approaching. And a moment before Maxie entered her trajectory, she hesitated, and her grip shuddered.

Renee was going to kill someone right then and there, if the arrow managed to hit the right target, and the thought of someone dying by her hand jolted her. Perhaps fortunately, it was only brief, as she realized it was to save someone from being killed, even if that someone was also trying to kill someone else. But this was the rule of the game she was in, and her chances of survival without her - as well as the person Renee was pretty much protecting now - would drop if Melina kicked the bucket.

The newcomer was entering her aim's gaze, and she had a split second to release the arrow before she passed and she would be shooting thin air. She had no time to close her eyes as she fired one off in the newcomer's direction. Her aim was toward the edge of the person's torso, so at the worst - or at least she hoped - it would incapacitate the newcomer, not kill her.

(Meh. You're no fun.)

Madison could hear a faint voice right behind her. She heard it clearly, but it was so low and untranslatable that she just figured she said something without even noticing. She couldn't really ignore how someone was waving to her and she looked back, finding herself staring right into the eyes of a pale-faced boy. Madison was surprised but she didn't show any of it, nervously waving back. And… who the hell is this? I've never seen him be-

"FUCK CHRIS CORNELL!"

"Aaaa!" Madison shrieked, losing her balance suddenly and falling backwards.

This was the part where she was going to scream bloody murder, but the saddened puppy-eyed expression that appeared on his face spelled his apology without having to say anything. Madison frowned slightly as Wade went on ahead of her, feeling slightly sorry for screaming. When Wade left the bush, she mouthed a ‘What the fuck just happened' under her breath and looked ahead at Wade. I don't know… he looks like he's gone batshit crazy. Maybe I should run when I've got the chance. He isn't looking at me, I can get out of here…

She stayed. It wasn't like she didn't want to leave: it was the one thing she really wanted to do more than anything else, but her legs were frozen stiff. When she tried to force herself to move, her legs wouldn't cooperate. Fear? Probably. After all, the girl that just left the cabin a moment ago looked mighty intimidating… wait a moment. Wasn't that the girl I saw at the beach when I met up with Simon? She seemed rather caring when I saw her. Maybe I could join up with her!

This was, of course, before Melina spoke up. Her voice was booming, and Madison could have heard it from a mile away. The tone itself scared Madison deeply. Scared her… It was a vindictive voice: filled with an evil brew that reminded Madison of Samantha. The kind of voice that first impressions were filled with suspicions. Oh… Madison couldn't read Melina like a book, but she could take an educated guess on what her intentions are… and those intentions were proven right, when she charged at Wade.

It wasn't in Madison's nature to enter into fights that were none of her business, but this was different. Melina was trying to kill Wade. She couldn't just sit there and watch what was happening like a fool: she had to take action. She sat there in fear when Simon had been impaled with a sword, and she certainly wasn't going to let it happen again. She couldn't. She wouldn't. End of story. She couldn't go running out there screaming loudly, swinging her axe back and forth like a maniac, but she could do something just as useful.

Damn it Simon, you'd better be watching this…

Trying her best to stay hidden within the bush, Madison pointed her laser dazzler out of the overgrowth as steadily as she could maintain. She shivered lightly, flinching the moment she pulled the trigger as though the whole thing was going to self-destruct. A dark beam of green light shot out of the barrel, slightly stinging her own eyes from the mere sight of it. Madison had a clear shot of Melina's face, which made it all the more simple to direct the beam of light at her eyes. She gulped. Hope this thing actually works.

As Melina lunged at him with the saw that she'd been concealing and the chain that she had not, Wade yelped in surprise, and stumbled backwards quickly enough to avoid being hit with the pointy saw. The long and heavy iron, however, managed to slam into Wade's leg, and he yelped again in pain.

Certainly doing a whole hell of a lot of yelping...what am I, turning into a dog? Wade Wilson, the dog-faced boy? That'd be great, except I'm a lot better looking than that!

Scrambling backwards on his hands and knees, still clutching the nightstick, Wade's eyes went wide at this girl who was (for whatever reason) apparently trying to kill him.

"Holy-bad-punch-line, Batman! You crazy girls, ya REALLY know how to toss a guy the ol' ball and chain! Or, well...maybe just the chain!"

Ba dum CHH! Rimshot!

Scrambling up to his feet, Wade looked in surprise at the girl and saw that apparently, she was not alone, as allies of hers began to appear from behind the house. Behind him as well, someone seemed to have run out of the forest, attempting to either wound Wade or come to his aid.

That's nice, being as I completely didn't even notice that until you just said it. Wait, what? Oh, whatever, you have far bigger fish to fry, Wilson!

Now back upon his feet, Wade breathed heavily, and flexed his leg a bit, which was throbbing from where the chain had impacted him. Gesturing to the saw in Melina's hand, Wade angrily gestured at her with his non-nightstick-holding hand, and adopted a fairly impressively accurate Austrailian accent.

"Ahhh, mate, that's how it's gonna be then, ah? That's fine by me there, missy! But I've got'a let ya' know, ah don't plan on dyin' any time soon, ah? Tryin' to cat me with you' litt'le knife thea'? Ha ha ha!"

Wade cackled, and shook his head as though truly amused at what she had done. "That's not a knife! THIS...is a knife!"

As he spoke his penultimate words, Wade thrust the nightstick out in front of him, holding it menacingly, as though it were a sharp blade. Of course, as Wade well knew in the back of his mind, it wasn't a knife, but rather, a nightstick. As he menaced her with the nightstick, Wade said more, still speaking, and obviously now imitating Crocodile Dundee.

"You go ahead an' threaten me wif' your lit'le knife, I know that game, I've played knifey-spooney befoa, mate!"

With everyone within hearing distance likely confused, and Wade himself still not really sure what was even going on, nor how to control himself, Wade himself was fairly surprised when a light came from behind him and tried to blind Melina before he could do a thing.

That's odd, I didn't know that light was on my side. Take that, dark side! Darth Vader, you MY BITCH!

Of course, as he turned around to glance behind him, he saw that it was in fact coming from someone; the girl who he'd seen earlier on. Obviously, she'd attempted to come to his rescue.

"Awww, how sweet, I feel oh-so-loved!"

Not wanting to stay and see how the crazy girl reacted to having a bright light shined in her eyes, Wade backpedalled and motioned to both girls that were now behind him to turn around and run the other way. This wasn't a good situation for him - primarily, he figured, because he was the only male in the area at the moment.

If I remember ANYTHING from reality television, it's that women in alliances will ALWAYS eat the men first! And NOBODY's making woman-food out of Wade Wilson! Dog food...maybe! But not woman-food, that's for sure!

Turning around and gesturing to the far treeline, Wade slipped into a different voice now, and blatantly stole a line from Predator as he started to run the other way.

"GOOOOOOOOOO! Get to the CHOPPAH! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They've got ah weh-pahn! Uuaghah!"

As he imitated Arnold Schwarzenegger's trademark grunting scream, Wade continued to run the other way, hoping the other girls would follow him as he ran in the direction of the trees. If not...well, then Wade would once again be by himself, with only his own, rapidly deteriorating mind to keep him company.

HEY! I heard that! I ain't rapidly deteriorating! It's ... gently slipping away, damnit!

((Wade continued in a vacant spot somewhere))

As she ran towards the fight taking place, Maxie came close to tripping over. She was so intent on closing the gap and halting the affray, that she failed to look where she was going properly, and stumbled over something - probably a tree root. Nevertheless, this unexpected obstacle threw Maxie off her stride entirely and into an unusual position as she fought to retain her balance. She heard a peculiar twang sound, and involuntarily, looked towards the source of the noise.

And just had enough time to register an arrow winging its way towards her face before it struck.

The arrow scored a line of pain across Maxie's right cheek, top left to bottom right hand side of it - if she hadn't turned her head, it would have likely struck her at the base of her neck, and nobody would get up from that kind of wound. Still, the shock of being hurt caused Maxie to reflexively throw herself down. Immediately, her free hand went up to her face, coming away bloody.

"Fuck," Maxie muttered, rolling as best she could, hopefully getting out of the fire arc of whoever had just attempted to take her out. A stationary target was a sitting duck, whether their adversary had experience or not. She'd been hurt, and didn't plan on being so a second time. At least the kid Melina was attacking (a pretty damn crazy seeming guy he was too) had managed to get away.

"Close call," Maxie said to herself, scrambling up onto her knees and taking several swift, bounding strides away from where she had been wounded, trying to neutralise the chances of any more shots finding their target in her.

Melina Charged at the boy, slashing at him with the saw, and swinging her chain at his body. She felt ecstatic. It was all going to go exactly like she planned. Kill the men, and you better your chances once it comes down to the wire. She watched both seasons of Survival Of The Fittest, and what she had noticed was that girls were much less likely to kill than men. Of course, you always had a few exceptions, like season one's Daphne Rudco, and season two's Mariavel Varella, but all in all, girls were much more likely to hide behind other people than kill outright.

Melina however, had no qualms about killing any of the bastards on this godforsaken island.

She hadn't even lifted a finger to help save Heather Tilmitt, whom she had known since she first moved to Highland Beach. Heather could very well have been considered her best friend, and Melina allowed Lance to gut her like a fish. In a game like this, friendships are meaningless. The only thing needed is your own strength, and weapons. Melina didn't fathom any ideas that Monique, Renee, or Jessa would become her "friends". She knew that once they'd outlived their usefulness she'd kill them, but for now, keeping them around was useful.

One thing Melina didn't expect though was the immanent arrival of Maxie Dasai, fellow delinquent, and pain in Melina's ass.

Maxie's yell made Melina falter somewhat. Her slash missed the boy completely, and the chain only struck the calve of his leg. Melina cursed under her breath and stared at the other girl, who was running right for her with some sort of weapon in her hand. A twang from behind her clued her in to Renne's shooting, and Maxie was soon sprawled on the ground. Melina smirked and focused on the boy once more, only to be hit in the face with a blinding light.

Melina screamed, dropping the chain and saw, and grabbing her eyes with her hands. She couldn't see a thing. What the fuck was that?! She rubbed at her eyes furiously, and vision soon returned to the fiery redhead. Upon looking however, she realized that her intended target had escaped. She cursed and grabbed her weapons. That boy was insane… someone else would pick him off sooner or later. She would have liked that baton though…

Melina turned sharply, and stared at the cowering figure of Monique St.Claire with venom in her eyes. There was a reason she called the group "Poison Angles". Insubordinance would not be tolerated. Melina seethed slightly and walked over to Monique.

"Monique… allow me to ask you something." She narrowed her eyes. "Why is it that you are here COWERING while Renee and I fight? Are you afraid to kill? ARE YOU?!" She yelled, and slammed the chain into the other girl's head, knocking her slightly off balance. She grinned.

"But that's alright… You're just not ready… You'd rather we do all the work…" She spit at the girl. "Useless… You're nothing but a waste…" She glared at her, then a lovely idea popped into her head. Monique outlived her welcome.

"Renne… take note of what happens when you become useless…" She grinned, and began the assault. Monique probably never saw it coming. Melina slashed at the girl with the saw, cutting her chest, abdomen, and arms with the serrated blade. Over and over again she attacked, the screams from the other girl fueling her to continue. After the assault, Monique was bleeding profusely, and Melina punched her in the stomach, knocking her to the ground.

"Now then…" She said as she squatted down beside the girl's quivering form. "It's time to say goodnight. Angles always have to return to heaven." She quickly took the saw to the girl's neck and slashed, slitting a major artery and causing the girl's blood to come squirting out of her neck, staining Melina's shirt. She grimaced slightly, but removed it before facing Renee and Maxie. She grinned like the Cheshire cat.

"That's what happens when you become a hindrance, Renee. So keep yourself out of that horrid category."

The light had caught the corner of her eye, and she squinted and turned away quickly, grimacing and seething. As soon as she could open her eyes, she pulled out another arrow and armed it...but the boy who attacked Melina was out of her still-adjusting field of vision. As her vision swung forward she could see a flash of red pass her that she could tell was the retreating Melina. She could hear the male attacker's shouting fading into the distance, but she wasn't discounting anything right now. She didn't know who was in the bushes right now, nor who was still here. The lasers had dispersed her thoughts pretty badly, but at least if she could focus on firing into the bushes where the laser pointer had attacked...

It took the sound of what appeared to be a chain hitting someone behind her to focus her thoughts once again, but not in a good way.

Monique!?

But rather than seeing Melina attacking someone who was attacking the third Poison Angel, she watched as Melina looked to be tormenting Monique for being "useless." It was not a pretty sight. No...it suddenly made Renée very weak in the knees.

"Renee… take note of what happens when you become useless…" Melina said to her, with a sadistic grin.

Before she slashed Monique's throat.

And turned to smile back at her.

It was a bloodstained smile that reminded her not of Blood Boy, but someone else. Someone she'd thought that intensive psychological therapy had helped her bury in the past. It was now as if she was looking at herself possessed by that very same person.

And to sum things up, it scared the living daylights out of her.

"That's what happens when you become a hindrance, Renee. So keep yourself out of that horrid category."

She'd always been able to tell herself that she was different from Melina. It had grown completely expected that Melina reminded Renée of herself nigh a year ago, when she had been tormenting students back in Gilroy Academy. But these "expectations" had started flying out the window the moment she'd woken up on the same arena her old gang and their victims had ended up playing - and dying in. As she ran from BB, she slowly became complacent; used to the conditions around her. But now the heat was back on.

Renée gulped and nodded. She leaned on the wall of the house to steady herself...and to keep her from fainting.

"Oh...Oh God..." The redhead slumped a bit as she turned back to face the foliage where she'd seen the laser come from. It was partly to turn away from the gory sight - and mostly to try not to concentrate on it, but that was a futile effort. If she fired now, chances were the arrow would just literally fall off of the bow.

In fact, she also closed her eyes as she fired, trying to get rid of the vision of what she'd seen. But for some reason, it seemed to help a bit as she fired and the arrow darted toward the bushes...almost as if she were trying to kill the vision of her seeming fusion with her tormentor...

Monique knew full well it would only be a matter of time before Melina turned on her. What she hadn't counted on was that it would happen so soon. As Melina turned her attention to her, she knew right away what was about to happen. The crazy in Melina's eyes gave it all away. And there was nothing Monique could do to stop it.

The chain came out of nowhere, and all Monique saw was a flash of white underneath her closed eyes as the weapon struck it's mark. A flash of light, and then a loss of control. She couldn't stop the staggering. Melina was screaming at her furiously, but all Monique could hear was a dull roar. She staggered slightly to her left, barely keeping upright. Her eyes were shut tight, not even the tears could escape. Her senses numbed themselves and she was unable to hear, see, or feel. To an outside observer, it was a mircale she was still even standing. The chain was hefty, and it had struck Monique hard to the temple.

Then the saw blade began it's frightful cuts. At first Monique had shut out the pain. She was too terrified at the idea that she was about to die to feel it. It wasn't until the first few cuts had been made that she began to feel them. The searing pain, like being horribly burned in a small concentrated area. If only she had gone with her gut instinct and opted not to trust anyone. Suddenly it dawned on her: just because she didn't trust men, didn't mean she could trust women any more. Strength in numbers only works if those numbers are on your side. Otherwise, as Monique was now living proof, it was a deadly gamble. One that would not pay off for her. The last fully formed thought that crossed her mind in her tragically short life was how sad it'd made her that she should have known better.

The punch to the stomach sent her reeling to the ground, unable to defend against her attacker. The axe dropped from her hand. It would be of no use to her anyways; her number had been called in the great waiting line of death. It was time to advance to the window with her ticket and be served by the next open attendent. The attendent was Melina. The service was death.

Monique had many naive aspirations in life. Olympic athlete? Ha! She couldn't even react to such an obvious move on Melina's part fast enough. Hell, she didn't want to admit it, but she was only so-so at track anyways. Make it off the island? Fat chance, only one survived, and it sure as hell wouldn't be someone foolish enough to pair upwith a psychopath. No, Monique's ambitious failures were her own doing. The worst failure was that she had actually believed this wouldn't have happened to her.

As she stared up at the sky obscured by forest canopy, the last thing Monique saw were Melina's angry eyes staring back at her. Then, a flash of red, a sudden shock, and a slow fade to black...

Madison felt slightly accomplished for saving Wade (who had just sped away screaming). A hero? You bet your ass she was. She just stopped someone from getting killed! She didn't want to get overproud or anything, but she was the only one who was willing to fight back against a monster… Madison was a brave mouse, the David fighting against the Goliath. She laughed softly, completely forgetting that she was supposed to run away. This would have been the perfect time to escape, but she was too busy patting herself on the back… until, of course, Melina finally regained her sight and proceeded to bludgeon Monique to death.

When that happened, Madison wasn't exactly so brave anymore. Instead, she wanted to curl up into a little ball and just die. Y-Yeah… i-if I just stay here, I'll be safe. If this woman, whoever she is, doesn't find me then she can't kill me. Oh, I really hope she didn't see me in these bushes… Maybe when their backs are turned, I could…

Of course, life isn't exactly as simple as that. Even though Melina didn't see Madison in the brigade of bushes in the corner of the yard, Renee (a popular girl that looked as scared as Monique had only minutes ago) in fact did see her. And instead of just leaving her alone, Renee felt it best to shoot an arrow towards the pile of bushes, and Madison had no clue that this was happening. So rather than anticipating the arrow and keeping still, she yelped like a wounded puppy the second the arrow went through the greenery. The projectile luckily didn't come close to hitting Madison, but it was just so sudden that the only reaction she could have given was to leap out of the bush and give off her location. Seconds after the fact, Madison cursed inside her head. Damn it… why am I so squeamish now? A-Ahh…

…

This was her chance. She had been given away. That was bad enough, but the good part about it was… she had a reason now. Menila was too distracted with killing Monique that she could attack. The woman was sick. Madison was the only person who could ever do this, or at least at this moment. There was a good chance she was going to die anyways, so what was the difference? She would die a hero. Respectfully. However… Madison was scared stiff. She couldn't move. She wanted to, she really did, but she was afraid of dying. So she sat there, shaking in a cowardly way, wanting to make a move as quickly as possible… well, as quickly as a girl scared out of her complete mind could.

Madison didn't particularly know Monique, and her looks weren't remarkable... but she did remember how timid the french(canadian actually, but Madison didn't know this) girl was. She didn't have many friends, well, more than Madison's empty list, but still fewer than most. Because of this, Madison felt sad for the girl... and most like Monique was just as scared in the game as she was in real life, away from all the killing.

She was a scared girl who wanted someone to protect her. That's why she confided in Melina of all people.

And Melina killed her.

She had the full intention to use Monique like any old garden tool, but when Monique just couldn't kill... Melina put her to sleep. Not only killed her brutally lika a barbarian, but bludgeoned her. She tortured that girl. SHE WAS ONLY LOOKING FOR ALLIES, but she found Melina.

Melina Frost, the irish bitch... Madison knew less about Melina than Monique, but one thing was for certain...

That sick grin made Madison sick.

And that, out of everything, was enough to gain just enought courage to point the Laser Dazzler up again at Renee, her hands trembling. Pull the trigger again. Pull it Madison. You can still get out of here. You can still escape, but you need a good distraction...

No. Don't run. Stay. You're about one of the few people who can do this. You have to stop them, or else they'll go on killing people for no reason.

Pull the trigger Madison...

Pull the trigger.

"Y-Y..." Madison tried to force herself to say, still very hesitatnt and scared as all get out.. "You... monsters. I'll... I'll make you pay for that."

Her hands completely unsteady, Madison pulled the trigger and shot another beam of light out, directed at Renee. She reeled her hand sideways and pulled the light into Melina's eyes, hoping it would blind her too...

Cowards and murders, liars and deceivers, manipulators and sadistic monsters... they were the ones that deserved to die. Not people like Monique and Simon...

Melina was not like that. No. She meant to kill Monique. Not only did she mean to kill her, she pretty much ENJOYED IT. This was what made Madison's anger even worse... This was what pissed her off, and while on the outside she looked nervous... on the inside, she was brewing.

Although her quick strides had taken her out of the arc of Renee's bow and thus out of immediate danger, Maxie found herself impotent to stop the murder which followed - too far away to prevent Melina making a bloody example of somebody who appeared to be one of her own.

Maxie couldn't believe what had just happened - right in front of her eyes, no less. She, of course, had seen evidence of the game's progression firsthand, the slew of corpses around the hospital had put paid to any notion of denying it, even if she had been inclined to disbelieve the daily announcements. But somebody being killed... literally right in front of her, that was just something else. After her initial shock, however, Maxie found herself angry more than anything else. These people... they had murdered a member of their own group without a second thought, and cut her face to boot! The girl with the weird laser gun had the right idea - these sick psychos had it coming to them.

"Hey! Whore!" Maxie shouted at Melina, stalking towards her, brandishing the meat hook. Although she hadn't been quite close enough earlier, the distance wasn't anything to boast about. Her rather unflattering form of address spoke volumes of the relationship between Maxie and Melina prior to the game. Put bluntly, they fucking hated one another. "Try takin' somebody on in a fair fight f'once!" as Maxie grew close, she broke into a sprint, bounding forward and lashing out at Melina's throat with her weapon.
