You all know how to vote, so I'm not going to throw a ton of voting mumbo-jumbo at the end. Hit me up via board pm or Discord private message (I'm not gonna go searching through voice to find your votes).
These are the finals, so we'll see how things go once voting is complete!
You have four days - we have the weekend plus Monday so that should be more than enough time for everybody. If I get all the votes by Sunday or Monday, I'll end early unless anyone expressly wants to public vote!
Keep on groovin' and I'm glad you've enjoyed the 80s songtest!

So we got away from the planet, and we're safe! Unfortunately...
We had a stowaway, who made quite an entrance as she chopped up our fifth place finisher rather graphically.
- [+] 5th Place
- Blasphemous Rumours - Depeche Mode (81 points, including two 12s, two 10s and an 8): Submitted by dmboogie
Ouch.
But it's okay! One of our contestants truly is the heroic Lt. Ripley and is stepping up to the plate.
It's quite the shame that our fourth place finisher was injured and couldn't join in the fun.
- [+] 4th Place
- Blue Monday - New Order (86.5 points, including two 12s, one 10 and one 8): Submitted by Deamon
And after quite the battle...
Our third place finisher was blown out the airlock and into space...
- [+] 3rd Place
- Total Eclipse of the Heart - Bonnie Tyler (91 points, including four 12s and two 10s): Submitted by Slam
Which means, our final two survivors:
- [+] Final Two
-
Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) - Eurythmics: Submitted by Shiola
Rebel Yell - Billy Idol: Submitted by Riki
We'll find out who our Lt. Ripley really is in the next post!
(Aliens is my favourite movie of all time, I'm not even sorry)

The time is nigh. Who was our heroic Ellen Ripley for the 80s songtest, and who's that brave little girl who managed to come away from LV-426 (and the 80s) relatively unscathed?
The winner of the twenty-third annual SOTF song contest...
... with 114.5 points...
... including three 12s...
... two 10s...
...and four 8s...
...is...
- [+] oh dear
-
Oh, brother.

- [+] Lt Ripley
- The Winner: Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) - Eurythmics, submitted by Shiola!
Congratulations to our runner-up!
- [+] Newt
-
2nd place: Rebel Yell - Billy Idol (97 points, including one 12 and four 10s): Submitted by Riki!
Congratulations to everyone for the wonderful submissions - I really enjoyed listening to both rounds and I could not be happier with how my decade contests have gone thusfar! The winner may start a new contest or pass order of hosting down the chain as they see fit!
Stats to come in another post at ze bottom.
I hope you all enjoyed this glimpse into the 80s!
Cactus out!
