"Oh jeez!" Mackenzie exclaimed, trying hard to keep her breathing under control. The guy had spoken two words, vomited, and passed out again. Sierra didn't even need an answer to her question, since the evidence was clear as day. Abel was a lot of things right now, but he was definitely not, in any sense of the word, alright, and he could only get worse from here. Mackenzie knew enough that if he stayed on his back, he was going to choke on his own vomit, and that was...that was bad.

Slowly, tentatively, she reached down for his shoulders, trying hard not to touch the puke that was streaking the front of his shirt and his face, and she turned him over sideways, watching with distress as a bit of bile dribbled down onto the floor to join the rest of the gunk. This wasn't going to make him feel any better, but at least if he was going to upchuck, it'd be in a downward direction, and maybe, just maybe, he wouldn't die on her. Maybe.

"I'm so sorry," she said again, unsure if he could hear anything. She grabbed the towel from where it had fallen and wiped off his face with shaking hands. This was all so wrong. How could she have done this to him? She barely acknowledged Bert leaving the room, focused as she was on making sure that Abel wasn't choking. If he puked everything out, if he had nothing else to barf all over the place, he would get better. He NEEDED to get better. If not...she didn't know. She didn't know what would happen.

"Oh Jesus..."

Sierra took a swaying step back from the vomiting boy, her vision turning to watch Bren walk off from the scene with brownie in hand. Sierra couldn't really blame her since Bren did get vomit all over her shoes, which sucked hard. Honestly, looking back and forth from the door to Abel, Sierra contemplated just going. This was probably the second grossest thing she ever experienced going to the party. The first was waking up the morning after and realizing she slept with Wyatt Carter, but unlike that situation Sierra was sober enough in this moment to know that she didn't have the benefit of being drunk enough to forget this happening.

As Abel collapsed back to the ground in the pool of vomit of his own making, Sierra's intoxicated mind felt somewhat concerned for his well being. Of course, the booze in her system and the smell of his stomach bile were not playing nice with her own stomach and she felt increasingly queasy as a result. Sierra gagged a little and lifted a hand to her mouth and forced herself not to breathe through her nose.

Mackenzie on the other hand was freaking out and tending to the bile coated boy on the ground. Did she blame herself for what happened? It was possible since Mackenzie's little stunt might have given him a concussion.

"Should we, like, call an ambulance or somethin'." Sierra said, her voice sounding a little nasally in addition to being slurred.

An ambulance... Now that would kill the mood of the party pretty much dead. However, she wasn't too sure anyone here was actually sober enough to drive, herself included. Not that she could drive since she didn't have a licence and rode a bike practically everywhere. She wondered if Connor was here? He was probably relatively sober, and he just struck her as the type to give someone a good fu- ride.

Speaking of driving.

"Hey," She said with slurred speech, looking at Mackenzie. "Did you drive here or somethin'? Or like, know someone who is drive? I mean, can drive? 'Cause I'mma- I'mma be real wit' you, Mackie, guy here miiiight need to see a doctor if that bonk to the head rattled something the wrong way."

((Adele Jones continued from We're Still Waiting for You to Show Your Chartreuself))

Adele took in a deep breath as she continued walking around the house, navigating through the mass of people, into a small hallway.

Now, parties were good. They were cool, they were chill, Adele had no personal beef against parties. They were just meant to be fun little things that happened, went around just like that, and it was all cool. What was not good about parties, though, was the stupid shit that people got up to once they were drunk off of their asses. She played it safe, played it legally, but fun shouldn't come at the cost off of a night's stay in a cell, no sirree, because that wouldn't ever be nice, and so she resolved to be as responsible as she could while the rest of her friends (actually, the rest of the fricking senior class) got turnt up. There was no real desire building up within her to see 'Nisha puke into the bushes again, and then have to deal with the rancid odor on the drive back home.

Still, because she was a good friend, or just kind of stupid, here she was again, at another big party, because the Titty Brigade was here, her friends were here, and it wouldn't have been great to be left out. At the very least, she looked nice, didn't she? Hair done up in a nice ponytail, simple white romper and heels, Adele had to give props to herself on a sexy and not super-slutty outfit. Some skin showing, yes indeed, but it showed off her curves and highlighted her tatas. Classy, yeah, but the goods were still there if a man knew how to look.

At this present moment, though, the goods she were looking for were 'Nisha, Joanne, and a coffee machine. Her hands were starting to get jittery again, that shaking feeling so strong she started wringing her left wrist as she continued searching, hoping she wouldn't bump into anyone too inebriated.

Just like that, that rotting, disgusting smell entered her nostrils, and as she desperately tried to waft while moving in heels, she noticed who else was in the hallway with her, little Bert, with a brownie, the nauseating odor emanating from her. She looked alright though, and as Adele tried to inspect her, notice what was going on, she spotted the green mess left on her shoes. The smoking gun.

With that pleasant experience in mind, she continued on until she found a door, opened it, which she hoped was legal, and found herself in a kitchen. And promptly blinked to make sure what she was seeing was real. And took a deep breath in again, as the same smell once again invaded her nose.

A guy, drenched in vomit laying on the ground, Kenzie tryna wipe off his face, as Sierra, Carter-fucker, apparently, slurred around while asking for a doctor for the guy.

Now, Adele didn't know who the guy was, and had no real intention to of finding out while he was still covered in all that puke, but she wasn't just gonna go lay here and watch as these two girls tried to clean up a mess they probably couldn't handle. She was still sober, after all, still fine, so it was time for her to act. She gently closed the door behind her, before turning to the three on the floor, making sure that none of the vomit got on her shoes.

"Y'all need help with driving, ladies?" Adele asked, voice kept forcibly steady through sheer willpower.

"I'm not drunk off of my frickin' ass, if that helps. Have a car, too."

Oh wait, no, Abel was still here. Maybe only partially in spirit, but still. He didn't say anything as Mackenzie tried to help clean him up or at least help him to not vomit on himself anymore. She was nice.

He didn't say anything to her apology. He just stayed limp.

And limp he stayed until Sierra said something about taking him to a hospital. He perked backed up at the thought (in his head he did anyway, it was probably more like slightly drooped his head less). He was about to say or at least slur something right before Adele showed up and offered to drive them, the sweet merciful angel.

"I'm.... fine," he coughed out, most certainly not fine but he had to try for some damage control. His half closed eyes stayed glued to the floor. "Can..... take me home? No hospital." He shook his head.

A car? No, Mackenzie didn't have a car. Well, she had a car, but she hadn't taken her car because she'd been driven instead. So she simply fixed Sierra with a nervous expression as she explained, "No, my umm...mom drove me to the party." And by her mom, she meant Gloria, her caretaker, but there was no point in getting into the weeds when there was something more important to deal with.

As if sent by happy fortune, Adele Jones picked that moment to come into the scene, sober AND possessing a car. It was almost too good to be true, but in this noxious typhoon of vomit, she would grab onto any lifeline she could find. Abel coughed out a request not to go to a hospital, and Mackenzie had to agree with that too. Considering this poor man's current state, there was no way they'd be able to just drop him off without getting into a LOT of trouble. If he thought that he was fine and didn't need to see a doctor, and Adele was willing to drive him and Sierra, everything was absolutely rosy. Everything but the smell.

"Okay..." she breathed out, "Okay, that's a plan. That's a very good plan. Here, help me get him up," she said to Adele. Sierra was no good right now in her state, so it was up to the only two sober people to herd the drunks.

Big question of course: how to get him up without touching any of the horrid gunk? She felt responsible for his condition and wanted to help him any way she could, but if she put her hands in that mess, she was going to smell like vomit all the way home. Maybe under the shoulders? That hadn't been splattered yet.

"Come on," she groaned as she set to the task, "let's get you...rrgh...home."

"Y'all need help with driving, ladies?"

Sierra turned in the direction of the voice, spotting Adele. How long had she been standing there? Couldn't have been too long. Mustn't have been too long if Sierra was literally noticing her right now. Must have been quite a sight coming into this room, seeing poor Abel lying in a pool of his own vomit while one girl tended to him and another just stood watching while holding a brownie.

Speaking of which, she was so invested in the ongoing events that she almost forgot about it! Sierra took a bite, grimacing slight as Adele remarked that she was "not drunk off of her frickin' ass" as she put it. Maybe it was the booze but Sierra felt that remark was aimed at her somewhat. If it was, then Adele can fuck right off. It was a party! Lots of people were drunk! Just because she was hot doesn't give her the right to be a self-righteous piece of shit.

No.

No, calm down, Sierra. That's the booze talking. No need to get upset at something that may not have been about you specifically. Breathe. In and out.

In any case, it looked like Abel was okay. Well... probably not okay okay given he was covered in his own sick, but okay enough that he could talk and asked to be taken home. Kenzie was kind enough to help him up, an unenviable task given how he is coated in his own bile. Sierra would offer to help, but being kinda drunk would likely make her more of a hindrance than help.

"I'd ask for a ride, but uh..." she looked over to Abel with pity. Jesus he looked shitty. If it weren't for the fact she wasn't breathing through her nose she'd probably throw up from the smell of him. "But I get the fffeelin' that ya gotcha hands full."

Oh, yes, Adele certainly did indeed have her hands full, what with aid applications and calling 'Nisha and Joanne and the drunk man right in front of her, and she was about let Sierra know that, but all that came out of her was:

"What're you talkin' about? It's aight by me!"

Delivered with a small, dead-inside smile, she really regretted deciding to be a good person. This was bound to cause all the more shit to pop up, because now she had to go make sure her own friends had another ride home if her butt wasn't gonna be at the party, somehow prevent man drunk from puking, as well as deliver him and Sierra to their homes in as graceful a manner as possible. She would do it, though, because she could, and leaving a guy in a puddle of his own vomit was no way to win brownie points with He Most High. Still, sucked to be always be the DD, but it was cool. It was good. "I'm used to being the car service, anyways," she added with a shrug, crouching down to see if she could assist Kenzie without A: getting covered in vomit, and B: not getting her shoes in the vomit.

Slowly moving forwards, carefully checking with each step her proximity to the whole mess. His shoulders didn't seem to be coated in green gunk, which was all chill and good and great, but Adele was quickly having second thoughts about some hands-on assistance. Maybe he could get up off of his own feet, and they could all just limp him to the door. Maybe that'd be smarter.

"Hey, man," she said, waving her hand to get the guy's attention. She swore his name started with an A, but she was not about to guess right now. "You think you can stand up?"

Calling friends could wait. This mess could not.

Abel grunted and nodded his head at Adele's question. He took a moment to psych himself up, staring at the floor and fighting off the urge to gag again.

Slow breaths.

He pushed himself up off the floor. With some gentle prodding from Mackenzie when needed, he clambered up with the chair that had fallen over. He was back up. His knees quaked. He threw his arms out to kill the vertigo and readjust his balance.

He took one step and plummeted towards the table. His hands caught the fall and landed on the table just in time, keeping him mostly upright as the table screeched and scooted a bit on the floor from the imbalanced force.

He shook his head, his eyes burning and unmoving from the table holding him up. "I can make it.... just need some help."

Mackenzie was happy to see Abel on his feet. If anything, it meant that he wasn’t having a brain hemorrhage, at least so she assumed. She was not so enthusiastic about seeing him almost collapse right back on the floor, but he caught himself, so it was just fine. Juuuuuust fine.

He needed some help though. No problem, she’d been on the case thus far, so she might as well see it through to the end.

“Oh. Yeah, sure, umm...What if I...”

Hooking one of his arms over her shoulder, she grabbed hold and tried to give him a degree of support. It wasn’t easy. If he leaned into her or just flopped in general, he and she were both headed groundward. He was going to have to support a bit of his own weight here.

“Alright,” she grunted under the strain. “Back out front with us. You ready, Abel?”

This was not what she was expecting to do when she left home that evening. In any objective sense, this party had definitively, unequivocally, undeniably sucked.

Sierra gave Adele a curt nod. It was cool that she was gonna give her a ride home, had she not have said it was fins she would have just made her way to Beryl's place and crash there for the night. Not that Adele needed to know that, since she might change her mind if she knew Sierra had alternatives to going home.

"If ya sure," Sierra slurred, giving her a shrug.

Sierra looked over to Abel and Mackenzie, specially more at Abel and how pathetic he looked right now. Poor guy, he was probably feeling pretty embarrassed by this whole situation. One thing was for sure, she was not going to sit next to him on the ride. She was barely keeping the contents of her stomach in as it was and the smell of his puke wouldn't be great to have literally next to her.

"I'm gonna go wait outside," She said, raising her hands and walking away from the sight. As she walked past Adele she patted her shoulder. "Shotgun, by the way."

With that she exited the room, popping the remnants of her brownie into her mouth. Looking around she stopped and thought to herself, "Where was the front door, again?"

Adele took out a long, deep breath, just as a deflating balloon would, as Mackenzie managed to sorta-support Abel after he impacted with the counter once more. Thank. The. Freaking. Lord. No time needed to be spent in this nasty, nasty place necessary, after all. That meant all was good and all was chill, which meant that she was not going to get into any sort of shady trouble tonight! Which was all she really had to do right now.

That was good, mmhmm, but what was not so great was the condescension pat from Sierra as she got on her own way out of the room. A raise of the eyebrow was what that girl deserved, and so Adele gave her one. She was doing this all out of the goodness of her heart, and if someone was not going to respect that, after all she did, she at least deserved to give some side-eye. Not that she was gonna deny her help, though. That'd just be ungodly.

"H'okay then," Adele replied to the rapidly departing figure of Sierra. "Good luck finding your way out of here!"

Now, that was one person dealt with, hopefully able to get to the car, but that still left Kenzie and Abel. Abel did not seem in any kinda shape to be able to bring his broke ass by his lonesome, but Kenzie was there, sooo...

Adele turned back to the pair, eyes focused and full of awareness. "So, y'all think you can follow behind my ass getting outta the house? I'm gonna be getting gone right about now."

Muttering a silent prayer for good fortune, she clasped her cross necklace as she daintily made her way out of the room, and to the front entrance. If she was lucky, and the Lord was smiling down upon them, they'd get there, and if not, they were kinda screwed.

Sifting around in her purse (thank God it had remained on her body), her hand felt receipts, then her phone, was was good, but not now, until it finally settled on the cool metal of her car keys. No need to let the people know that she didn't know whether she had them on, but now all was certainly well.

Grasping on to her car keys, and continuing to make her way forward, Adele could only hope that nothing went wrong from now on.

Or at the least, if something did go wrong, somebody could help a lady out.

Abel took Mackenzie's help without complaint, pushing himself back up off the table with her aid. "Yeah... thanks."

One foot followed by the other. Repeat. It was working. They could do this.

Sierra left the room, followed by Adele. Abel took one last look at the brownie tray and the vomit pile left behind before joining the others' with Mackenzie's help. He felt like he was forgetting something, but it must not've been that important.

Alrighty, they had a nice one-two rhythm going. Mackenzie felt the strain, but she could handle it. Long enough to get Abel into the driveway at the very least.

One-two, one-two. That's it. That's it...

"To the front!" she cried, keeping her spirits high. They were going to get this man home, and then she was going to go her own way, scrub every last trace of stench off, and try to forget that this evening had ever happened. Hoo boy, had this affair stunk.
