oooh okay, so.
I really like the childhood friend dynamic for Isidore and Birch, only problem is that Birch has been a prep their entire goddamn life (until fairly recently, and even now they still kinda give off the vibes). Would Isidore have been friends with any preps back in his childhood, would his parents even let him/approve of him hanging out with a snotty rich asian kid, etc.
Ren can confront people but only if specific buttons of theirs get pushed and as much as I think Ren would dislike Linda I don't think she pushes those buttons. They probably highkey want her to quit anime club but like uuuuurgh they feel bad about making them leave directly because *technically* she's not doing anything wrong and Ren doesn't wanna ostracize someone just because they're put off by her bc they know how that feels so they've probably talked themself into putting up with her bc 'ugh what if she's just like me' but also lowkey really doesnt want to deal with her. how does linda's bs come off as? would it be possible for her to pass off her bitchiness as social ineptitude and/or "this is just how i am as a person and youre just gonna have to accept that sorry not sorry"
Ren and Charlie friendship is go.
Amos + Alice: Alice would vibe very well with Amos, aloof and quiet and outdoorsy stuff is very much her. Would happily go on an hours-long hike with him where neither of them really say anything. She would join adventure club, probably rolls her eyes because she finds the name cringey but also kinda likes it and finds it endearing?
