Amy frowned. Aggressive much?

"What was that for?"

Something akin to the royal guard of the- no, no, focus! Focus.

There is a person pointing a gun at you! She fumbled with Shu before. She wasn't planning on fumbling again.

Her hand itched, just the littlest bit, to grab the girl while her back was turned. She didn't.

Letitia missed. She was pissed, but it didn't matter in the moment.

The girl who showed up fell to her knees and covered her face. She wasn't going to attack immediately, so she quickly stepped back.

"Don't fuck with me!" she shouted to both Amy and Wendy.

Letitia moved away, standing between where Amy and Wendy were, and continually moving the rifle so it would at each moment point at each girl. She waited to see if either girl was going to do anything.

The girl with the gun sounded pissed.

Wendy looked up and through her fingers to see the gun-toting girl pointing her rifle back and forth between Wendy and the other girl.

Oh God. Wendy questioned why she have to open her mouth. She could have just turned around and walked away. Now it looks like she'd get herself and someone else killed.

"P-please," Wendy whimpered, "I don't wanna die."

Amy took a step forward. If the girl was going to point that gun at anyone, it would be her.

"Nobody's fucking with you," she said, with her best de-escelation voice, but it came out wrong- too loud, too quick.

Still, she almost believed her own lie, for a moment. The thing was, nothing super bad really happened to her, once she thought about it. Like, Prii died, but that wasn't her. She was shot at a week ago, but it didn't hurt her the way bullets should, and she shrugged it off. She barely knew Mariya. Shu got distracted by his boyfriend/whatever before things went bad and Josh just wanted someone to talk to anyways. None of it felt real. And, here, with that gun pointed at her, she didn't feel like everything was real, either.

Not like it was a dream, that would be too cliche, but if someone did tell her that it was a dream she'd believe them. It felt like a moment in some haunted house or horror movie where you'd get way too immersed and feel real, genuine fear for a little bit, and then you look down and see that the vampire was wearing sneakers and also was a college student being paid minimum wage to yell at some poor souls. It was hard to explain. She wasn't sure if she wanted to explain it.

"So what are you going to do to us?"

Letitia looked between the two girls. The new girl was crying and pleading for her life. The first girl was trying to deescalate.

Letitia shook her head.

"You know what?" Letitia said in response to Amy. "Nothing. Fuck this."

Letitia kept her rifle trained on the girls and moved backwards away from them. She was outnumbered, and there was still a chance that either or both girls had something to take her out.

Better to play it safe and leave empty handed than to lay dead in the field.

Letitia disappeared into the woods, making sure the girls wouldn't be coming after her.

And that was it. The gun-toting girl just... left. Now what?

Wendy stood up, watching gun girl run off, then turned towards the other girl. Wendy was happy to be alive, but also could not help but feel dumbfounded.

"Are you okay?," Wendy asked, "What should we do now?"

"Do you wanna stay together?"

Everybody who did that with her died, but, y'know, thats statistics.

Maybe she was cursed or something. Maybe this was all her fault.

But, for better or worse, she stuck with it.

"Sure, okay," said Wendy.

Wendy wasn't sure if she could trust this girl, but she figured travelling with someone was better than travelling alone. She can have someone to watch her back. The last travelling companion she had ended up killing someone, and then died not too long after separating. Hopefully this girl and her can stick it out.

"So, where to?," asked Wendy.
