Devil Down in Georgia

Practice Room (Open)

The performing arts department at Red Rock, while not underfunded, is not the main focus of the school’s program. The practice rooms, recording studios, and drama studios are all modern and up-to-date, if lacking in imagination with their designs — a downside they share with the school auditorium. With that said, the school does cannily reinvest into the facility to ensure it is not in disrepair.

Thursday? Huh, he coulda sworn it was...

Cue confused eyebrow raise, followed by Johnny whipping out his phone to check the-

Ah. Right. That's pretty funny.

"Oops" he chuckled with a barely contained grin, one that faltered a little when he realised Abby just left. That was a shame, he was kinda enjoying... Whatever the hell was going on there. It was nice.

Maybe too nice, actually. He was Johnny after all - he wasn't looking for nice. He was looking for Nice. Awww yeah!

"I mean, can have the room if you like" he shrugged, moseying on back to where the instruments were kept. He spent a couple seconds trying to recall where he found the guitar, before giving up and resting it against a set of drums in the corner. "Was just kinda goofin' around myself, so no skin off my back"

"No, you can stay and keep playing," Charlie Girl said with a wave of her hand, her head still resting on the doorframe. "I didn't come here to kick you out...well I did, but that was when it was Thursday, not like you know, today, Wednesday."

A smooth explanation that certainly left no doubts as to what she was referring to or talking about.

But she did feel bad, given that she seemed to have disturbed something and sent Abby fleeing from the room. It wasn't a great feeling. With a sigh, she stepped away from the doorframe and into the room proper. As she was doing so, Johnny was moving to put his guitar away.

"You don't have to leave." Charlie Girl said quickly, trying to sound reassuring and not desperate to make up for her faux pas. Charlie Girl wasn't all that familiar with Johnny on a personal level, but she was aware of him. He wasn't hard to miss, given that he looked like one of the T-Birds from Grease. That was what they were called, right? Charlie Girl wasn't super familiar with the movie like some older people, but Johnny certainly looked the part with his leather jacket and aggressively coifed haircut.

"You a good guitar player?" She asked as casually as possible, as her bag slumped from her shoulders onto a nearby desk. She took a few seconds to dig around for her drumsticks. She remembered something about Johnny having a musical connection, although it may have been his dad. She had a vague awareness that he had perhaps done shows on The Strip, or someone had told her something like that. Charlie Girl wasn't sure herself, so she decided not to ask about it. There was no point making the encounter any more awkward than it already was.
