Tbh, I'm younger and probably newer at mafia then Jace, but this doesn't look like scummy, it looks moreso just genuine mistaken roles, like, the advent soldiers (which would be this game's VT) look human okay, and I'm pretty sure if you're scum, you don't skimread your role pms
This is only my second game of mafia so I’m not sure you’re actually newer than I am, js.

Jace wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2020 3:55 am I'd like to note that Boogie joke voted me from the beginning and then stuck with it in seriousness when I began defending myself. Which is fine, I know how I came off. But Dodd jumping on top of that without much beyond 'I'ma ride your thoughts on this bruh' has got me suspicious, especially since the conversation progressing has done nothing to change that.

I am not really suspicious of Boogie right now, but I've got some suspicion I can't shake toward Dodd because it does seem like an easy way to avoid a mob lynch, by throwing in to lynch me, and then sticking with that because it does look like you all are eventually gonna pile onto me, which is going to get me mislynched. Simply put, I am the easiest target right now and it would make sense to commit that early. I saw this going in the direction, around the time Dodd voted for me, of everyone immediately piling on and getting me out of play. I was frankly surprised it didn't, because I thought that second vote was gonna initiate it. Then again he hasn't had the chance to change course yet, bc unless I didn't notice a more recent post, his vote for me was the last time he participated.

The fact is, I just saw an opportunity to make an alien joke and took it bc I thought it'd be funny. I say most things that I say with the intention of joking around, that's really just what I do.

Anyway that's where I am right now. My gut tells me to be suspicious of anyone who's aggressively suspicious of me, but I can see where Zetsu and Boogie are coming from. Dodd, not so much.
I *super* clearly came up with my own reasoning that was then jumped on by other people, so let's not rewrite history, shall we?

I think I vibe with these Jace thoughts, Boogie seems to be extremely aggressively scum hunting and while I don't agree with him I think it's a gutsy scum play to go hard like this on someone you know is town and will make you look bad with the flip. Cactus seems more like pushing a train along with deniability though I'm not super suspicious of his thoughts either at the moment, pings weird.

Being honest i've been playing call of duty most of the day and popped my head in to point out the only thing in all of the chaos and useless posting that really made me go 'hm'.

vote: jace

here it is.
I agree you had a reason, but that reason was that I misread the roles, unless I missed something. Still very early and very flimsy of a reason to be used to commit this early, though.

I’m not saying it isn’t valid, but it strikes me as very band wagon-y to jump on the commitment train to lynch me on, what, like the first hour of the day phase?

mmmmmmmm no. Top of the scum pile to you for rewriting history yourself.

First person to suspect Blizz and Jace is MW, post 50

First person to push on the alien/human fluff is Boogie, post 33

Your FoS comes way way later, post 98.

Vote: Cactus.

obvious train pushing just became very fucking obvious

pardon me for not close-reading like twelve pages of nonsense

i'm town, so lynching me would be a mistake

Cactus did post quite a large post explaining his logic, and the fact that well, the protag humans are the scum villains this time, and from what I remember, it was boogie who agreed with Dodd afterwards? Like the post earlier didn't seem too hard on, but I could be wring. I would say Cactus is the person who jumpstart the train with his reasoning, but boogie was the one who rolled with it.

Literally, until now, Cactus had posted his reasoning, voted and then just left, so yeah, kinda does look like he just started it and then put his hands up and left (obviously, he could be busy, but like, that's what it looks like), also, MW said that Cactus got the same logic as him, just interpreted it differently, so yeah Paige, it could be Cactus jumping on MW's light read

I'm not sure I'm down to vote just yet, bc it is very early, but in all honesty I was less convinced of Dodd (just moreso than everyone else) because his last post was his vote post, but he has participated now a few times since then and I'm seeing no evolution of his reads despite there being twice as many posts as there were last time he was here. I am also not seeing an unvote. So either he's somehow convinced fully enough that it's me to pile onto boogie's vote to get me lynched, again, VERY early in the game, or he is simply trying to keep a bandwagon going so that more hesitant Jace votes gets the train moving faster. Each response is convincing me more and more.

I'm not quite ready to vote like I said, but a growing FoS - Cactus for sure.

Edit: I'm not gonna make an entirely new post to highlight the fact that I used the wrong shade of yellow for the FOS so just acknowledging I know to get my OCD to chill lmao

Same! And what I'm seeing is that you went directly from saying you have nothing, post 80, to pushing the only popular pair of subjects in post 98, and now you're trying to claim credit once the two people who actually started the inquiry have played out their hands. Now you're being super defensive about how you totally didn't read anything but you read enough to get that FoS out, the basis of which is straight up memeing and joke votes which is less nonsense than people putting down accusations?

Yeah, don't buy it.
