@Irina - RIP mate. Look forward to playing with you next time, hopefully!
@Fen/Cactus/Kermit - Yeah, if there are six canonical roles (Assuming I understood Fen correctly) I wouldn't take doubling too seriously. It would explain why Murder was so comfortable with any number of players. Doubling solves flavor in a large game nicely.
That said, safeclaims are a thing. Including roles isn't as common as flavor, but it's a potential balancing option in games with heavily restricted flavor. (If we're actually doubling up on flavor, then I'd argue that having safe roles is much more likely.) I'm spitballing here, to be honest, but it's food for thought.
The main thing is that, while I've done some serious thinking (and mandatory random paranoia/second-guessing.) the math still works against him. I keep coming back to this every time. I'm going to double down on this, I really think he should be our lynch today. If there are two scum remaining,we can potentially lose right NOW just by mislynching. (Math: 2 scum versus 4 Town. Town mislynch + Town NK = scum win. It's possible something saves us, but it's still a serious risk.)
Taking a random shot on an inactive versus netting a more likely scum player seems like a really, really bad idea.
@Fen - To be fair, I'm using my take on Murder to support what I already believe anyway. Not all thoughts are equally valid. It's more just useful food for thought than proof. I have one major reason I'm convinced.
