Chad really had a rough draw.

Yes, technically he was staff, but he didn't actually join the uprising like much of the rest of the staff team. He was really focused on overcoming the demons of his past. He'd seen corruption in the worst of his days. He'd been there. He didn't want to see it again.

Chad approached the rest of the board to try and see if there was a way for the madness to end. The board... they saw a glimpse of him and somebody shouted 'Chad! He's staff!'

He never had a chance to explain himself before they nailed the smiley face mask into his skull.

why introduce more things to trip up a cop, though?

if the gm is thinking about tripping up a cop they'll probably do it twice imo. once on either side. its what id do anyways

note for the record that assuming we're continuing to have one death per phase, and theres no real reason why we wouldnt assume that at this phase, we have two days worth of mislynches before we get into the Danger Zone. so like, we arent in immediate trouble so we dont need to be overcautious. but keep it in mind

ok so slam being Officially Town drops my sus ratings on deamon dramatically though i did just remember toben also defended him but also is toben the sort of person who would be caught defending a scumbuddy? not really. so im gonna go with "ok i trust deamon now i guess" for now.
