Okay, so what does Jace flipping town say about each of these people?

What does Jace flipping scum say about each of these people?

If you want to play some of these reads close to the hand to avoid tipping off scum, that's cool btw. Just share the stuff that wouldn't tip off scum.
Real question tho, I've seen you question Slam's play too so why haven't you pushed it any harder than this? Even if you genuinely thought I was scum, I'm surprised this didn't give you stronger scumreads on slam.

This is just actual curiosity on my part.

You know, I see why lynching Jace just mainly for driving the conversation and flailing might not be the smartest idea. Maybe I was just grasping at straws.

UNVOTE

Not voting for Slam at this moment. Gonna do an ISO/readback first. >.>

The two mitigating factors for Slam is that: 1) he's stubborn, and I feel like if he was town and committed to the idea that we need to policy lynch Jace on day 1 to clear noise, he'd still be of that same opinion and 2) his irritation reads to me as genuine. Gripes about the speed of the game and discouraging people from participating feel genuine to me.

Over to Jace, now. He's refused to commit to a hard scumread of anybody all day phase long, sitting as he is as the likely lynch target. Giving up little in the way of information. Makes sense if he's scum who thinks he's gonna be lynched anyways, don't you think? Then, the second the possibility of lynching someone other than him comes up, he practically trips over himself to write up a post explaining why he so totally thinks that that person is so totally scum, y'all. Coincidental, ain't it?

I said 20% chance that they're on a scumteam together. Make that about 2%. Utterly galaxy-brain play if they are.

These are the people who have actually been involved in the discussion which has centered around Yugi and Jace being scumbuddies. Revealing the alignment of Jace will invalidate that theory or make it plausible, which will give more perspective on the people involved. I'm not listing how it effects each of them individually because that would require rereading to get an exact perspective on how they've been involved.
I'm gonna need a little more in the way of detail for this, dude. If you don't have the energy to do a re-read, I get it, but do you have any gut feelings?

This got buried, like, 10 pages ago, but WIFOM is short for 'Wine In Front Of Me' and basically refers to when things degenerate into paranoid guessing games of 'you want me to think this but you know that i would've guessed that i want you to think this so i did the opposite actually but actually you might've guessed that i would've guessed that too' and at that point you give up and look at something else instead of giving yourself an aneurysm

Well, no, I've been openly suspecting Slam since he came to Dodd's rescue at the beginning of the first day. That took a hit when Dodd flipped town, but I never townread him. As for not scumreading anyone, that wasn't a hard refusal, that was because all my scumreads were hinged upon Dodd flipping scum. I agree my action of effectively giving up was sus, but I only did that because I was sure I was going to get dogpiled immediately when the phase started. As soon as it became apparent I still had a chance to make posts that were taken seriously and not read as flailing (bc I've been painted with that brush the entire game despite trying really hard to actually make some headway toward getting a scumkill) I started backing off. Cactus did that last game, right in front of me. I'm new but I wasn't like born yesterday. Also idk how staying silent for 2/3 of an entire RL day then coming in to explain why I did it and coming to a reasonable conclusion based off everything else in the post equates to tripping over my self but okkkkk.

Anyways, this is only very minimally fueled by this situation but Zetsu's been giving me growing and growing scumvibes for a while. I've been waiting to say something until I could settle on a reason why but this is a gut feeling for now that I've had since going through their iso like an hour ago. If Slam flips scum, I can totally see Zetsu reading scum as well.

v confused at the idea that jace has no scumreads when he's been making cases against cactus, irina, slam, and yugi for awhile

Cactus doesn't count; I'm only talking about this day phase.

Slam I've already covered.

As for the rest: I looked over his ISO. His "case" against Irina is just about the most half-hearted thing I've ever seen. Yugi's a bit stronger, but he backs off of him once he figures out that the chain of events he's linking together doesn't make much sense. On the whole, though: this stuff makes him look a little bit better, but it's all so fucking waffley. There's no commitment until Slam has a couple votes on him and then we see a hard push. Still a bad look, imo.

Jace votes for slam right after I do, like literally right after, there's a one minute difference between my vote and his and his post is pretty detailed so I'm gonna assume it took him more than a minute for him to post. The only person pressuring Slam at that point is me. So I feel your timeline is kinda off there, and it's making me suspicious.

indeed he does. i missed that. still, the intense pressure on slam starts, like, an hour before jace makes his big anti-slam post, though. still looks opportunistic and desperate to me. By 5:00 CST (6:00 EST, 45ish minutes before Jace commits with a vote) you'd already unvoted, called Jace's lynch a trap, and declared slam likely scum.

Goose pretending not to know what WIFOM is to feign ignorance! Let's string him up!

Sorry, had to come chiming in with that. I'm going to do an ISO on Slam/Jace like... Blizzard? said they were gonna do and then I'll get back to y'all on what I feel here. I'm still fairly comfortable with Yugi as town and I initially didn't like the push on Jace, but his response to all of this has been... weird. Slam's could strike me as weird too but it's also jiving with classical Slam obstinate-ness. He could very well have his heart in the right place and be shooting his mouth off. Lemme read and decide which I think it is.
