yknow, thinking about it, i changed my mind. i thought it would be kinda fun to just wait for dodd to defend himself and stuff but im impatient and id rather put my cards on the table now. here we go kids

here were my investigations and reasonings and shit:

night 1: as should be obvious now i investigated boogie first, because 1. i love him and it would be cool to be able to trust him and also 2. he's actually really really good at mafia when he tries and i didnt want him to get away with that shit lmao. i got a result of not scum but tbh at this point i had no guarantee i wasnt insane. if yall check my iso i did not start assiduously defending boogie until day 3. this is important. i had him as a neutral read on day 2 because i did not know yet if my read meant anything.

night 2: in "solving that shit real fast" news, i investigated toben second. i dont feel like i need to justify this, toben is real fucking good at mafia and is dangerous to have around as scum. i would have investigated him first except he wasnt around during the first day, and it would be hard to subtly push to lynch him if id gotten a scum result when we didnt have any evidence to go on, so i picked a more actionable target first and went for toben when he started talking. of course i got a result of scum and of course he died the same night, confirming my alignment, which is why i started to defend boogie! cause i have a Thing. a Read. a Proof That Isn't Quite Proof But Hey (more on that later)

(for the record im shocked and amazed that the "memeing about boogie being just that cool and good" strategy worked this well this long lmao. i probably would have let boogie get lynched without outing myself if it came down to that, SORRY BOOGIE, I LOVE YOU)

anyway!

night 3: here i investigated deamon. i was having a hard time getting a bead on him considering his terse playstyle and he was talking a Lot and i felt he was starting to control the narrative a bit, so i was hoping mostly to be able to trust him. as is now obvious i got a result of not scum. if you wanna check my iso i completely dropped any suspicion of deamon when day 4 starts, this is why, obvs.

night 4: guess who i investigated. guess what i got. go on, guess.

i was pretty confident in my iso read of dodd but i was mislead because i got so stuck on "ricky wouldnt use zetsu as a character would he" but it was dumb of me to ignore my instincts. i decided to check and my instincts were in fact correct. dodd is scum. i wanted to wait until he claimed so he couldnt just claim miller or something but it occurred to me it was equally likely he'd try to claim cop or doctor or something so i figure i'd preempt that. also like i said im impatient. lmao

im willing to come out now because 1. if theres still a doctor alive, hello, i could use your help, but like 2. honestly i think the 4th mafia member is probably a godfather, in which case my investigative ability is pretty worthless now anyway. thats my Proof That Isn't Quite Proof on boogie. i was totally willing to defend him up until now but, cards on the table, if there is a godfather it could still be him. but the probability is relatively low, and sure as fuck is way lower than dodd being scum!!!!!

yes its technically possible a framer or a bus driver is in play, but the chances seem Really low. hell i did a search on tapa (YOU ALL OWE ME ROYALTIES) and i didnt see a single game that actually had a framer in it, just a ton of people being paranoid about the possibility. framer and bus driver are both super niche (and honestly kinda bastardy imo) roles, and this game so far has been Very basic and vanilla outside of Maybe there being a PGO.

considering we have a flipped miller im willing to bet the only other anti-cop mechanics are at most a godfather, a framer would be way too much

i guess technically it's possible that scum has a strongman that is also modified so they can have a 2x night kill but that would be a very dumb setup in my personal opinion so i will choose to believe that is not the case
