((Madeleine Smith continued from Don't Let The Bedbugs Bite))
Once again Madeleine Smith found herself alone. Maybe it was for the better. At least when she was alone no one was dying or being threatened by her. Or threatening her, as the case was in her last little adventure. Though given there probably wasn't very many of them left, maybe that was the right course of action now. Hell, she probably already had a leg up on other people left. Two kills were under her name, as much as she wished it otherwise.
Maddy sighed, slumping against the wall of a nearby house. She wasn't sure how much longer she was going to be able to handle this. At this rate if someone didn't kill her soon she was probably going to just do it for them. She'd missed her chance to escape. Wasn't even aware of the boats until it was too late. Now they were gone and she was still here.
Maddy shook her head, dispersing her thoughts. No, she wasn't going to think about that right now. Either the boats would be back, or she would be the last one standing. Or maybe she would be dead. Who knew. Nothing was certain right now except for inevitable crushing defeat. Just whether it was her defeat or the defeat of everyone else, she wasn't aware of. Only time would tell.
