Name: Mikaela McNinch
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Grade: 12th Grade
School: Bayview Secondary School
Hobbies and Interests: Mikaela likes playing basketball and tennis, however she refuses to join clubs since she is neither interested, nor good at the sports in question. She has an interest in such a large variety of manga, anime, music, and books that it is impossible for even her to name her favorites as they seem to change on a weekly basis. She has an interest in writing and ended up joining the school newspaper. She loves singing, but is a horrible singer.
Appearance:
Mikaela dresses in a plain grey long sleeved shirt that is a few sizes to big, either a grey pair of shorts that stop a few inches above her knees or a skirt of the same length and color, she wears a belt around her waist even when it's not necessary, long black socks, a black tie, and large black boots no matter what the weather is outside. She owns a pair of thin silver rimmed glasses with square shaped lenses which she actully needs to see properly, but she claims she wears them for dramatic effect. She has dark brown hair that stops just at the bottom of her neck, she often leaves it sloppy looking unless it's a special occasion.
Mikaela is Caucasian, 5'6, weighing 123 pounds. She has a small frame, with almost no tone, and as an effect of her shirt she look smaller the she actually is. Her nose is small and rounded. Her eyes are hazel. She has clear skin on her face. The top of her arms are covered in little red dots which is the real reason she only wears long sleeved shirts. Her bust is average, but looks flatter because of her baggy shirts.
Biography: Mikaela's life to most outside viewers would seem mundane and boring. She lives with her mother, step-father. She also has 2 older bothers who have already moved away. Up until High School she tried to put on a happy face, but with each passing year it became harder and harder to maintain. She found her life becoming more and more depressing. Her stepfather was a cold man who treated her life some kind of freak, her mother was always saying how her children where her life and how much she loved them, well always blaming them for all of her problems and always taking her stepfathers side in any argument, always trying to force Mikaela to be nice to him. Well she was never physically abused the mental abuse proved to be far more damaging.
School wasn't much better. Mikaela was invisible at best, the whole world seemed apathetic, no one seemed to care about anything that wasn't stapled to their foreheads. Every so often some punk would decide to pick on her. They said it was because she was a idiot who didn't know what was cool as she was always out of the loop as to what was supposed to be popular with everyone else. The teachers would never try to help her when she told them and because she told the bullies would be even crueler to her. Any friend she had always seemed to use her and then forget she existed. She was always alone.
Then on her last few days of Junior High her mother and step-father began to argue all the time and Mikaela would just sit there and listen. Of course after they finished arguing her mother would go on and on about how her stepfather was an evil horrible man, finally after all the years of Mikaela saying the same thing her mother agreed. Mikaela hoped this would mean that she would finally have someone who could relate to her, however she was wrong, now her mother was consumed with the idea that she was a tragic victim and that she was only staying with her stepfather for her children. Her mother decided to ignore all of Mikaela's former complaints about her stepfather by pretending that it was her influence that created them and not Mikaela's own experiences, she didn't care about Mikaela's feelings at all only about finding something to complain about and blame for all her trouble.
Her mother just continued to stay with her stepfather, and Mikaela was dragged along with them when they decided to move. That's may have been the day when Mikaela finally snapped, she decided that her entire life was a cruel joke, nothing she did would ever matter, all her dreams would never come true. Mikaela decided it would be better to live life however she wanted, screw the consequences. She decided that she would be known well she could still be known, even if it met negative attention.
Mikaela began attending Bayview Secondary School, it was on that first day that she became known as a eccentric delinquent, she snuck into the office and began singing over the loudspeaker or at least tried to as it wasn't on. This got her in a great deal of trouble and she only nearly avoid suspension (although she spent the first two weeks of school in detention). She decided that perhaps that was the wrong way to go about it, so she later began looking for people she felt could empathize with her, in the end she had formed a group of friends she often bosses around. She didn't want to admit it, but she began to enjoy her life. She liked being the boss, being in charge gave her meaning, it filled the emptiness in her, although every time she went home the emptiness would return.
Mikaela now tries to protect those she deems weak, from those who she thinks would take advantage of them, well failing to realize she is the one who takes advantage of them. She does truly care for her friends, which they know, it's just she tends to be selfish and controlling which causes a lot of problems for them. Her greatest fear is that once they graduate she will never see them again and they will just forget her and move on. In order to disguise her pain from her friends she has adopted a fake ego, often claiming to be the greatest (whatever subject she's on) ever and an over the top dramatic reaction to everything. Mikaela is also works on the School Newspaper, she likes to make up and exaggerate stories to see if anyone's going to check the facts or not, they rarely do.
She considered joining the anime club, the gaming club, the writing club, and for some reason choir despite being a horrible singer, none which she even bothered trying to actully join except choir which she was kicked out of. She claims the choir just doesn't know good singing and seems unaware of herself being tone deaf. When she's not with friends or at school she spends all her time locked in her room on the computer or playing RPGs, however she doesn't play MMOs. She also watches anime DVDs, but she doesn't watch much TV. She also listens to a varity of music which she of course sings along to, however she has no favorite genre. She sometimes wears headphone attached to an old CD walkman or MP3 player and falls asleep in the lunchroom. She is actually listening to the entire Silent Hill 2 Soundtrack as she is a fan of the series (don't get her started on the movie, which she of course hates).
Advantages: Harming one of her group will cause her to attack the offender. She has a very fragile psyche, if someone pushes her over the edge she could lash out at them in rage.
Disadvantages: Although she isn't helpless without her friends, she does feel awkward without them. She also trusts this small group of friends, although if they did try something and she survived she might fall into a depression. She tends to over dramatize things and go far above the needed or normal reaction to things. When it comes down to it she doesn't have much regard for her own safety either. Without her glasses she has to strain her eyes to see which give her a small headache.
