Alex is a Christian, who believes that God is all good and cares for everybody. Her belief makes Alex treat everybody with respect and give them all a second chance, regardless of who they are.
Alex had an extremely positive relationship with her parents when growing up, building up a good liaison between the family. This helped her positive outlook on life, so when her parents split up and got a divorce, it hit her very hard. She learnt how to bottle her anger and emotions up, not revealing her feelings to anyone and only thinking of others and not herself. She began not to eat much, slowly loosing weight and becoming more skinny than she was, putting her just underweight. She cared for her self much less than everyone else, in spite of who they were.
She had a younger brother Carl, who she looked after while her Mother was away. She usually took the role of the mother to Carl, and constantly had to provide for him and of course there dog Charlie. Being the "optimistic" person she was she denied any bad things happening to her and went on with life, knowing the truth that life really wasn't as great as she had thought.
She needed something to help her, help her understand the problems instead of just bottling them up. She turned to Christianity, where she asked God to help her. The religious guidance helped her understand and tackle her problems, and seeking God told her to forgive her parents, and live on in life contentedly.
Alexandra also learnt that Violence was strictly wrong and against her ways after witnessing a large fight between a childhood friend of hers and a neighbour of hers, this resulted in multiple stitching in the friend's face and a broken nose. She discovered that there were other ways of sorting problems than the use of violence. Although she wasn't a pacifist, she decided to never have a fight or physically harm someone, unless she had to in self-defense. She was also taught this in the bible, witnessing the fight only made her ideology much stronger.
When Alexandra begun High School she met a large group of friends, she loved talking to other people and was quite an outgoing person. She frequently had get-togethers and parties. She always helped her friends out when they were in trouble or upset. She used her skill of bottling her emotions up to help her when she was angry with anyone, and thus she never really fell out with many people.
Alexandra soon discovered that her long legs had a positive effect as she was a stunning runner. Her flexible body also aided in gymnastics, and although it was an interest she was only really average at the sport. She got quite high results in Athletics and hoped to one day play in the Olympics as a runner, although this dream was unlikely, Alexandra's saying was always "Never give up"
Alexandra also loved poetry, and had always hoped of being able to write as good as the poets she read. Unfortunately all her emotions were bottled up and she had trouble expressing them. She failed at writing poetry, which almost crushed her dream was it not for her motto. Although she is not good at writing she frequently jots down poems, most of them satisfactory for a 12th grader, but not what she had wanted.
Alexandra has only one real fear: She has a phobia of flying insects, mainly wasps, bees and dragonflies and she cannot stand being near any of them. Other than insects, Alexandra is very caring of creatures, which led her to become a vegan. She hates any sort of cruelty to animals, and is frequently in protests against hunting and the "murder" of animals. She would defiantly vote for the nearest Liberal candidate if she could, as she always see's the positive in people. Although she has strong beliefs, Alexandra would never force her opinions down others throats; she would display her argument and debate fairly, instead of shouting and forcing them to have the same ideology
Alexandra likes witty humor, humor which is very quick and sudden, she dislikes humor which could humiliate other people (such as Sarcasm) as she knows this doesn't feel nice and would hate it if it happened to her. She is quite honest with people, but extremely diplomatic. She could explain why someone doesn't look as pretty as they think without getting a barrage of verbal abuse.
Alexandra likes the soft rock genre to indie. Calming acoustic melodies are just her type as she likes music which puts her in a good mood. She dislikes hip-hop bands or heavy metal, as most of there music is about either death or crime, both negative features. Alexandra attempted to play the acoustic guitar, and is still currently learning. She has an okay singing voice and sometimes records herself covering some songs, although she never could write her own.
Advantages: Alexandra is determined and kind, She could easily be welcomed into a group and would help whenever she could. She is a diplomatic talker, so she could talk her way out of trouble if necessary. She is physically well in shape, being a fast runner and having quite a flexible body. She is well liked, so she could meet up with her friends and easily form a group that way.
Disadvantages: The bottle of her emotions could blow due to the pressure of being on the Island. She might just finally release all the anger building up inside her and strike against anything or anyone which comes in her way. She is not too strong, but her agility does make up for this fault. She doesn't agree with violence, so may be extremely shocked about what she finds on the Island, if she is effected by milk being made from cows then she might just be affected by a dead human body with no eyeballs and a missing leg.
