Karma is a Bitch

Along the southern border of the island lies an old farmhouse. It's a quiet and quaint place nicely suited for those who would rather hide than fight. Behind the old farmhouse lies a vast sea of cornfields that always seem to sway eerily in the breeze. Watch yourself here, who knows who will be lurking within the sea of cornstalks.

Karma is a Bitch

John slowly woke up, calmly taking in his surroundings. He slowly came to the conclusion of where he was, and why he was there. Truth be told, he wasn't that afraid.

"Karma's a bitch" John muttered to himself as he stood up and dusted the dirt from the back of his pants. By looking around her found himself beside a large barn, and nearby was a long flowing cornfield. It was almost glowing in the light of a new day.

You gotta find some friends and find a way out of here.

This was a fact John knew all too well, one that made him angry. Not angry enough to hulk out, but angry enough to nearly kick a hole in the side of the barn.

A bag rested by his feet, which he quickly took to searching. It was a bunch of crap like a map and compass, flashlight, rations and a first aid kit. He threw the sleeping bag aside seeing as he wouldn't need it. And sitting there was his assigned weapon.

John gingerly picked them up and sliced them open and closed, that terrible screeching sound making him wince each time. Looking further into the bag he saw some extra things like toiletries and happily his pills! That's all he needed if he wanted to survived and mentally prepared himself for the road ahead.

He picked up his day-pack and took off running into the cornfield, Scissors neatly placed in his pocket and a determined grind upon his face.

"Karma is such a bitch..." John muttered one last time before running towards the sound of distant voices.
