Around her waist she wears two belts, one studded and one patterned with comic book sound effects, crossed over each other like an old west gunslinger. Her jeans are dark blue, faded on her right knee and ripped on her left, obviously well-worn besides that. Biography: Regan Selina Flagg was born on March 14, 1994 at Virginia Mason hospital in downtown Seattle to Marie and Roland Flagg, a nurse and a preacher, respectively. The first of two children, Regan and her brother Hawke both grew up firmly middle class to loving and nurturing parents. Regan in particular, being the first and oldest child had a tendency to hold their attention, being the perennial parental favorite. Despite that, Regan would attest that she always maintained a close and friendly relationship with her brother. Favoritism or no, both Flagg children maintained a healthy and loving relationship with their parents.
Perhaps because of the favoritism, Regan especially would grow up in comfort, which expressed itself with any flight of fancy that she might want to pursue only a question of permission away. As a result, Regan would spend most of her childhood pursuing different interest, anything from karate to skateboarding. Because of the availability, Regan would often burn herself out and quickly lose interest. Out of all the different ventures that she would pursue, music has been the only one that would stick with her. It would also be the only interest that she excelled at in any noticeable way. It was an interest that her parents would endorse, dreams of music fame for their little girl in mind, signing her up for piano classes as a start of what was sure to be an auspicious future.
As she grew older, her interest would expand to string instruments, the electric guitar in particular. This interest sprang from Regan's interest in the musicians that began in Seattle, and the thriving music scene that it still played host to. This interest would also cultivate it's own heroes for Regan to emulate, particularly heroes from the Seattle rock and grunge scenes. Once she found her niche, Regan was set for life. She would continue her piano lessons to appease her parents, but her real passion was the guitar. The musical interest would spread to her brother, with some help from Regan, and he would in turn learn to play bass guitar.
Despite the allowance to run free and explore, the home atmosphere could someone times be tense. As a preacher, Roland Flagg had some strong thoughts on the raising of his children. Despite those occasional flashes of conflict, both Flagg children were allowed to pursue their chosen interests and goals, being allowed free reign as long as they remained free of any trouble. Despite some grumbling from her parents about the tattoos and the dyed hair, Regan was allowed to express herself as she saw fit. Any doubts they might have had about her life style tended to melt away once they heard how her musical talent was progressing. While there was some concern over the type of music that she was listening to and performing, they contented themselves knowing that at least her ventures were productive. Her status as the favorite possibly helped as well. For Regan her own continued interest in music was due in no small part to a dream of making a living playing the music that she wanted to play.
In the eleventh grade, Regan came to terms with her homosexuality and entered into a relationship with another student. Due to her fathers' status as a preacher particularly against homosexuality, she remains firmly in the closet, with only a select few knowing of her situation, her brother among them. Keeping her orientation hidden and secret is among the very few things that she serious about, often going to extreme lengths to keep that secret from the classmates that she hasn't personally told, not to mention her parents.
Music would continue to be Regan's primary focus from the first day she picked up a guitar in sixth grade to her senior year in high school. Regan would also maintain an interest in comic books, as well as writing, often combining the two to write stories about her favorite characters. She would also turn that interest toward writing music for the band that she plays in with her brother. More often than not, her interest in music will preclude anything else. This has hampered her already halfhearted search for a job, a search suggested by her parents but a search not very enthusiastically undertaken by Regan.
In terms of personality, Regan could be best described as scatterbrained, almost ditzy and perhaps a bit naive. Though intelligent, the only thing that Regan really applies that to is music. As such, her grades in school are middling to average. Another term that can be applied to Regan is that of motormouth. She possess the unique ability to talk without pause for seemingly minutes at a time, voicing anything that might cross her mind. Conversely, she also has periods of introspection, most often when thinking of some new song or chord. Despite her incessant talking, or perhaps because of it, Regan is friendly and amicable, open-minded and personable, although she does sometimes forgot that there are times when should simply stop talking. Her circle of friends mostly extends to people with a similar interest in music, as well as friends of the band. On the whole, she is a very mellow, relaxed person, rarely, if ever, losing her temper.
