Name: Daenerys Todd
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Grade: Senior
School: John Endecott Memorial Academy
Hobbies and Interests: Hiking, Camping, Falconry, Swimming Club

Appearance: Daenerys is 5'2" tall and weighs 112 lbs. She has an oval face apart from her sharp chin, big light blue eyes, a small nose and thin lips, often formed into a smile. Her hair is light brown, smooth, and worn in a three-inch-long bob.

Daenerys is Caucasian. She has decent muscles and a slight tan thanks to being outside a lot. Her voice is loud and cheerful and she sometimes unconsciously makes gestures while talking.

Daenerys prefers practical clothing over clothing that looks good. She doesn't put much mind on fashion and therefore has no clear color scheme. On the day of the abduction, she was wearing a dark blue hoodie with a purple hood, a yellow T-shirt, a brown belt with two small bags on it, beige, slightly worn out jeans and red boots.

Biography: Daenerys Todd was born on June 27th, 2003 in a hospital in Boston. She is the first child of Jasper and Linette Todd. The pair would go on to have two more children: a 12-year-old girl named Arya and a boy named Jon, six years old. All three children were named after characters in A Song of Ice and Fire, a series of fantasy novels Jasper and Linette loved.

Her parents were running a small independent store for video games, comics and tabletop RPs located in Boston. The store had moderate fame among the people interested in such topics and made enough money to keep the family afloat.

This changed in 2008, when the global financial crisis hit. The store struggled for months and didn't survive. The family had to move out of their expensive home, having spent most of their money on keeping the store afloat. Luckily, Jasper had family in Salem, who helped him get a well-paying office job and an affordable apartment in West Salem. Giving up his dream of running a store was a huge blow, but he settled on doing what was best for his family and convinced his wife that they would be able to start over in Salem, especially with Linette having gotten pregnant again. Linette decided against looking for a job on her own to focus on raising their children.

As their first child, Daenerys was doted on by her parents from a young age. Even during the harder times and their move, both Linette and Jasper tried to give Daenerys a good childhood. While Daenerys grew up happy, her parents would often try to interest her in their own, often nerdy, hobbies. To their dismay, Daenerys found no interest in such things and preferred playing outdoors.

In elementary school, Daenerys quickly proved herself to be slightly above the average when it came to learning, but otherwise unremarkable. Since most kids and even the teachers had trouble with her first name, other people at school started calling her simply D, which evolved into her nickname over time. Even nowadays, some of her friends she went to elementary or middle school with still call her that.

Each summer starting after their move to Salem, the family would go on vacation for two weeks. In Daenerys' final year of elementary however, Linette became pregnant for the third time. Since the third child would put a strain on their finances, the family decided to not drive to some tourism spot like the other years. Instead they visited Linette's parents Rudolph and Frieda, who lived by the mountains in a very rural region of South Dakota.

The following two weeks were a life-changing experience for Daenerys, who until then had seen only the parks of Salem and the city itself. The forests and animals living in it intrigued her to no end. She would spent most time with her grandparents, who took a liking to their granddaughter and taught her a bit about nature.

Of special interest was her grandfather's profession of being a falconer. The way her grandfather treated and communicated with the birds, the elegance of the craft and the animals themselves captivated Daenerys, and it wasn't until long that she declared her intentions to take on the same profession.

Her parents were less than impressed by this declaration, believing it to be just a childish idea that Daenerys would forget about in no time. But her grandfather heard her out. However, he pointed out that being a falconer was a risky job that took years to learn. He said that Daenerys should think hard if she wanted this and ask him again once she was older. He also told her about how he himself dropped out of school when he was young, something he deeply regrets, and implored her to take her education seriously, even if she wasn't planning on taking a job that required much. After returning home, Daenerys would start to write letters to her grandparents monthly in order to keep contact.

At the end of this summer, Daenerys entered middle school. It was then that her name became an actual issue. Due to the TV adaption of the books, the name Daenerys had become famous. Some kids in particular would first tease, but eventually mock her for her name. Daenerys, who until then had had a peaceful childhood, was unprepared and didn't know how to handle such situations.

Help came in the form of some members of the school's swimming club, who got the teachers involved. Out of a desire for safety and to be closer to her saviors, Daenerys joined the swimming club as well. Surprisingly, she enjoyed the club activities much more than she had expected and continued swimming in high school.

During middle school, Daenerys got more freedom since her parents were now busy raising her two younger siblings. She would use this time to explore the forests around Salem. For her, nature was abundant with awe-inspiring things to find, so she loved camping and hiking, although it would take until high school that her parents allowed her the former.

A bad change that middle school brought was that Daenerys' grades started to fall. Her laid-back attitude towards learning had been enough for elementary, but not for middle school. Her parents had a strict talk with her about this. Remembering Rudolph's advice, Daenerys decided to give it her all for the future. At the end of the first year of middle school, she was among the top 10% of her year. Impressed by this, her parents and grandparents, who she wrote about this topic, praised her a lot. From then on she felt obligated to keep up her grades and eventually she started to feel proud about being among the top of her peers. Even nowadays, Daenerys makes no effort to hide her pride towards her success, seeing it as a proof of her dedication and work. This sometimes makes her come across as boastful in the eyes of people who don't know her that well or who also aim for high scores, resulting in some of her classmates disliking her. She is aware of this, but sees no reasons to do anything about them since she doesn't believe a few classmates hating her will be a problem.

Entering John Endecott Memorial, Daenerys once more saw herself targeted for her name. However, she had learned and knew to not let this bother her while dealing with it when necessary. After taking the words of her grandfather to heart, she has kept to her learning regime and quickly secured a good position on the student rankings. Her favorite classes are biology and math. Daenerys also joined the swimming club, where she has both old and new friends. She furthermore has a few bonds with classmates also interested in nature. However, just like in middle school, her open attitude towards her success has resulted in some resenters.

While most of her free time during the week is spent on studying and training with the swimming club, her weekends are still the time Daenerys goes hiking, sometimes even camping for a night. To avoid worrying her parents, she never does the latter alone, always finding at least one like-minded friend to accompany her.

During middle and high school, Daenerys would visit her grandparents every single summer. She cheerishes the time spent in South Dakota a lot.

Daenerys is often cheerful. So far she has faced barely any real tough situations in life and therefore often acts easygoing unless she has a clear goal in mind. Furthermore she has a high empathy not only to humans, but also to animals, especially birds. For that reason, she plans to go to a good university and study zoology after graduating from JEM.

Her relationship to her parents is lovely, but slightly estranged, since they have trouble relating to Daenerys' interests while Daenerys has no interest in the nerdy topics her parents love. Despite that, there never were any issues with Daenerys taking a completely different path in life than Jasper and Linette. Her two siblings adore her as the older sister, although the three don't see each other too often for long due to Daenerys being busy a lot with either hiking, swimming or learning. Her busy schedule also means she has no experience in dating, never having been that interested in boys.

Advantages: Daenerys is used to being outside a lot, meaning she would have fewer problems to find her way through forests or other places. She is known as a friendly and harmless person, which raises the odds of people being willing to trust her. Also she is pretty fit and has good stamina.
Disadvantages: Daenerys has some enemies among her fellow students, be it rivals or people who make fun of her. Aside from a few special occasions, she never faced notable tragedy, failure or setbacks in her life and might be unprepared to deal with such things.

Hi there mostlyharmfulll! I'll be taking a look at Daenerys today and will be doing my best to spell her name correctly. She is temporarily DENIED, and I'll go over the needed edits below.

How short is Daenerys's hair exactly, and what kind of style does she wear it in? "Very short" could be anything from a buzz cut to a pixie to a short bob.
Daenerys prefers practical clothing over clothing that looks or feels good.
Ideally, practical clothing should feel good; it's not very practical if it's uncomfortable, unless she's wearing some kind of specific protective gear for work. That doesn't seem to be the case, so I'm confused about what this is supposed to mean.
On the day of the abduction, she was wearing a dark hoodie with a purple hood, a yellow T-shirt, a belt with two small bags on it, beige, slightly worn out jeans and red boots.
Dark is a shade, not a color. What color was the hoodie apart from the hood? Also, what color was the belt?

With the birthdate listed in the bio, Daenerys would be 18 at the start of the school year, not 17.

Go ahead and specify that Daenerys and her siblings are named after characters from A Song of Ice and Fire, since even with the prominence of the books and TV series, we can't assume that everyone will immediately know what you're referencing. Also please specify the exact ages of Daenerys's siblings so I don't have to do extra math to make sure the timeline lines up.

Has Linette gotten work since the family moved to Salem?

I'm not sure about her name not being an issue in elementary school. Even if other kids don't get the reference, it's not very easy to spell or pronounce if you're unfamiliar with it, which most everyone would have been at that stage. Did she ever pick up a nickname?

What rural region of the states do Daenerys's grandparents live in? The US is huge and there are a lot of rural regions.

If Daenerys has lived in the same area for most of her school years, she wouldn't have changed school districts between when transitioning from elementary to middle to high school. Given that, most of her same classmates and friends would have moved on to the same secondary school as her, so her leaving them behind every time doesn't hold up unless she has individually been moving between districts for some reason.

I don't understand why Daenerys's parents would take her on vacation every summer but deny her visits with her grandparents unless she raises her grades. That just seems unnecessarily cruel to both her and her grandparents, as well as impractical if they're willing to spend money on other vacations but not go to see family.

Falconry is mentioned several times as something that Daenerys is interested in, enough for her to keep up that interest for multiple years and consider pursuing it as a career, so I would add that to her hobbies list. I would also like to see some expansion on what exactly she likes about it, though; so far, she seems interested in how her grandfather handles birds but there isn't much else fueling this ambition that she has held onto for years.

Also, if her grandfather is a professional falconer but is then telling her that she would need another career to actually make money, what is he doing to make an income? Google says that the average salary of a falconer is upwards of $50k a year, which is pretty comfortable and well above the average income of someone living in Salem, so Daenerys's family citing money as their primary concern against pursuing falconry isn't ringing true to me. If anything, they'd be doing her a favor by letting her train in it, since it's a well-paying and niche line of work.

What kind of subjects does Daenerys like and dislike in school? Any specific strengths and weaknesses? Are her friends mostly on the swim team? Is she interested in dating anyone? What does she plan to do after high school (further schooling, job, etc.)?

I need more specifics in her advantages regarding her experience in the outdoors; while it's true that this will help her on the island, there are a lot of potential "harsh conditions" that she could encounter there, and she isn't likely to have experience dealing with every single one of them. Taking care of yourself in the woods is different than what you'd do in the desert or a blizzard, for example.

I would also like expansion on Daenerys's supposed enemies. What kind of rivals does she have, and what makes that more of an enmity than friendly rivalry? If people who tease her about her name could be considered enemies, there's a huge difference than being kind of a jerk to someone in school over something silly like that and becoming their mortal enemy in a life-or-death situation.

Daenerys's empathetic nature is only given passing mention in the bio, so I'd like to see more on how that affects her in her everyday life for it to qualify as a disadvantage.

Anyone can be a target in SOTF for any reason, since the entire premise is killing others to live, so I don't think that Daenerys being known as a generally capable person would make her more of a target than anyone else. Remove that as a disadvantage.

Spelling/grammar:
Daenerys is 5'2" high tall
Daenerys is Caucasian.
The descriptors "light blue" and "light brown" don't need a hyphen. They're two words.
Luckily, Jasper had family in Salem, who helped him get a good-paying well-paying office job
Due to the TV-adaption of the books,
Hyphen not needed here.
Daenerys is used to being outside a lot, meaning she would have less fewer problems adapting to whatever harsh conditions await her on the island.
That's what I have with this first review. Post in here when you've made those edits, and I'll give Daenerys another look!

It's a bob, and I added some numbers.
Ideally, practical clothing should feel good; it's not very practical if it's uncomfortable, unless she's wearing some kind of specific protective gear for work. That doesn't seem to be the case, so I'm confused about what this is supposed to mean.
Removed it.
Dark is a shade, not a color.
Corrected.
What color was the hoodie apart from the hood? Also, what color was the belt?
Added colors.
With the birthdate listed in the bio, Daenerys would be 18 at the start of the school year, not 17.
Oops. Fixed.
Go ahead and specify that Daenerys and her siblings are named after characters from A Song of Ice and Fire, since even with the prominence of the books and TV series, we can't assume that everyone will immediately know what you're referencing. Both is done.
Has Linette gotten work since the family moved to Salem?
No.
I'm not sure about her name not being an issue in elementary school. Even if other kids don't get the reference, it's not very easy to spell or pronounce if you're unfamiliar with it, which most everyone would have been at that stage. Did she ever pick up a nickname?
Now she has.
What rural region of the states do Daenerys's grandparents live in? The US is huge and there are a lot of rural regions.
I am not an expert in the geology of the USA, but according to wikipedia South Dakota has a lot of green and mountains, so let's go with that.
Removed this part.
I don't understand why Daenerys's parents would take her on vacation every summer but deny her visits with her grandparents unless she raises her grades. That just seems unnecessarily cruel to both her and her grandparents, as well as impractical if they're willing to spend money on other vacations but not go to see family.
It was kind of a plot device to give Daenerys a reason to up her learning efforts. Removed that part.
Added a bit more things that caught her eye about falconry.
Sometimes it takes a second opinion to see one's own stupidity. Honestly, now that you bluntly showed it, I can't remember what the hell I was thinking with that. I suppose it was to give Daenerys another motivator in school.
Whatever, now it is replaced with something that has a similar effect.
What kind of subjects does Daenerys like and dislike in school? Any specific strengths and weaknesses? Are her friends mostly on the swim team? Is she interested in dating anyone? What does she plan to do after high school (further schooling, job, etc.)?
Added this things.
Specified that her knowledge is mostly forest-related.
It's more about her good marks and her attitude about it. I specified that.
Daenerys's empathetic nature is only given passing mention in the bio, so I'd like to see more on how that affects her in her everyday life for it to qualify as a disadvantage.
Decided to remove that one. Added another disadvantage instead.
Anyone can be a target in SOTF for any reason, since the entire premise is killing others to live, so I don't think that Daenerys being known as a generally capable person would make her more of a target than anyone else. Remove that as a disadvantage.
And removed it is.
All done.

So, that should cover the edits you asked me for. Ready for Round 2!

Okay, thanks for powering through all of that! There are still a few things to take care of, mostly spelling and grammar things, but Daenerys is looking much stronger already.

I'm not sure if this happened during editing or I overlooked it during the first round, but make sure that you've got the full name of the school up at the top of the profile. It should be "John Endecott Memorial Academy".
She has an oval face apart from her sharp chin, big light-blue eyes,
Missed removing the hyphen in "light blue" here.
Her hair is light brown, smooth and a three inches short bob.
Good on the clarification, but this last part is worded a bit oddly. I would adjust it to something like "Her hair is light brown, smooth, and worn in a short bob/three-inch-long bob/what have you".
The pair would go on to have two more children: a 12-years-old girl named Arya and a boy named Jon, six years old.
The first word after a colon or semi-colon is not capitalized. Remove the s in "12-year-old" also; it's one of those quibbles of English that if you are describing someone as "a(n) x-year-old" you use "year" and not "years".
As their first child, Daenerys was dotted doted on by her parents from a young age.
Even nowadays, some of her friends she went to elementary and/or middle school with still call her that.
"And/or" is a little too casual for profiles. Just "or" would be fine here.
He also told her about how he himself dropped out of school when he was young, something he deeply regrets, and implored her to take her education seriously, even if she wasn't planning on taking a job that required much.
Remembering Rudolph's advice, Daenerys decided to give it her all for the future. At the end of the first year of middle school, she was among the top 10% of her year.
You're missing a space between these two sentences.
While most of her free time during the week is spend spent on studying and training with the swimming club,
Fix those things up, and I think that Daenerys should be ready to go!
