Homecoming Court Nominations

Here is where students can nominate people for Homecoming Court. The way this works is a little different than Homecoming/Prom royalty during past versions. The process is as follows:

There will be two phases of voting for Homecoming royalty. This thread is for the first phase, determining a Homecoming Court of four nominees each for the roles of Homecoming Queen and Homecoming King (in the event of ties, there may be 5 people in one or both categories). Then, during the Winter Formal dance which will open later on, there will be a final round of voting to choose the Queen and King from among the nominees in the Court.

In this thread, each character gets one vote per category (so, Johnny can nominate one person for King, and one person for Queen). The top four votes in each category will make up your Homecoming Court. Characters must be approved or in the queue to vote or be nominated. Characters may vote for themselves. Voting will run for a bit longer on this, to account for people being busy during the holidays; nominations here will be open until January 7th at 11:59 PM Pacific time.

Chloé Delacroix votes Richard Buster for homecoming king and Chloé Delacroix for homecoming queen. They’ve been working hard planning this thing, might as well make the most of it!

-

Fred reached for a pen. He’d probably just nominate himself and some hot girl in the very small chance they get to dance together, like he has done (without success) for every other school dance. Then something hit him. Something evil.

He shouldn’t.

But it would be funny…

No one’s gonna find out, right?

It’s not like they’re gonna win.

But imagine them dancing…

Besides, that night had put him in a bad mood.

Fred Hobbes votes Quentin Skinner for homecoming king and Roberta Chen for homecoming queen.

Rebekah Hayes reluctantly votes for Rebekah Hayes. "If I'm elected Queen, I'll bring raccoons to the dance!" she helpfully informs everyone else in line. There, now she's officially campaigned for Homecoming court, and her mom will be satisfied. Will she actually bring raccoons to Homecoming? Absolutely. She votes for Teddie Boyd as King, since he's the mascot, and that's the closest you can get to having an animal as king.

Juanita Reid votes for Max McCormick as King, and Natasha White as Queen.

Derek Caldwell believed that the whole Homecoming-Court-thingie was pretty stupid, so he simply repeated his votes for the presidental elections: Trinity Ashmore and Richard Buster.

Daenerys Todd looked at the ballot as if she wanted to feed it to her dragons. She found the Homecoming Court to be nothing but a disgusting popularity contest that allowed the elite to remind those below them of their inferior standing.

There were several girls wanting to be Homecoming Queen. That meant there would be plenty of girls being disappointed. A contest where there was only one winner and the rest got nothing didn't feel right.

So Daenerys didn't want to vote for someone from the Betty Rangers or another queen bee. She wanted to give her vote to someone who deserved some happiness in her live.

In the end, she voted for Katelyn Graves.

She didn't bother to vote for a King.

Ethan Kemp didn't think long about who to vote for.

His vote for the Queen got to Dawn Montogomery. He was not planning on telling her about it.

His vote for the King got to Amos Flanigan. No real reason, he just knew Amos was an alright guy.

Dawn pondered long. There were a lot of girls in her year who would make good queens.

In the end, she voted for Ashlyn Graves.

Her vote for the King got to Ethan Kemp. She was not planning on telling him about it.

Marshall West voted Lucio Oliveira for King (because of the big admiration and anyone who makes a club about positivity deserves the position and maybe it doesn’t hurt that he’s handsome even if that’s not really a conscious thought), and Chloe Delacroix for Queen (Competent, good at things, though Marshall really hoped this wouldn’t look like she rigged it to get ballots if she was heading up the committee...)

Russell Fitzroy votes Rebekah Hayes for Queen (she showed him a ghost hole and also he wants to see raccoons). After some consideration – which perhaaaaps included a bit of annoyance even as he considered it that they hadn’t really, like, spoken since that whole brief hook-up thing - Fitz voted Teddie Boyd for King anyway. He wore a mascot outfit, that’s basically a raccoon, right?

Molly Oliveira votes for Molly Oliveira as Queen. (It’s not like anyone will know, right? Or like no-one’s voting for themselves?) After some deliberation and mentally crossing off a lot of guys she’s previously dated – dancing with an ex would be awkwardddd – Molly votes Richard Buster for King because he kinda just has a vibe like he’d be fun to dance with, and he's a sporting captain, so makes sense, right?

Roberta Chen didn’t vote because mehhh.

Robin Valenti votes for himself for King, and intentionally leaves his vote for Queen blank.

Poppy Fontaine writes down several names, crosses most of them out, and is left with Russell Fitzroy for King, and Dani Bird for Queen.

Jess Kawazoe votes for Taylor Thorne for King and herself for Queen, and if the teachers don't like it they can suck it.

Beatrice Briggs votes for Lucio Oliveira for King, and Lara Bullock for Queen.

Trinity Ashmore and Ada Bentley abstain from voting.

Abhishek "Abhi" Panicker voted for Abhishek Panicker for Homecoming King #1 and also Noah-Karimi-Fallah for Homecoming King #2, and defaced his ballot in the process. The section for Homecoming Queen was removed.

Corbin Azinger voted for Matthew Bell for Homecoming King as a show of support. He did not vote for a Homecoming Queen.

Donovan Lauer voted for Donovan Lauer for Homecoming King #1, to challenge Big Dick's authority. He left the section for Homecoming Queen blank.

Claire Haig secured a ballot and colored the corners with a pen. She was prepared to cast her vote but then faced a wave of uncertainty. In the end, she left the sections for Homecoming King and Homecoming Queen blank but cast her ballot anyway.
