Her hips and bust are not very pronounced. She is Caucasian with pale skin and freckles on her face, shoulders, and arms. Mildred has an oval-shaped face with a soft jawline, rounded cheeks, upturned blue eyes, and a small nose that ends in an upward tip. Her lips are thin and her two front teeth protrude ever so slightly, though she is in the process of fixing this with braces.
Her naturally strawberry blonde hair is shoulder-length with side-swept bangs that reach below her eyebrows. The tips of her bangs and hair are dyed black. She usually keeps her hair in two braids.
On the day of abduction she was wearing black ski pants; a yellow sweater with a bumblebee on the chest; an oversized, high-shine, black puffer jacket; and black boots. Her braces are purple on top and teal on the bottom.
Biography: Mildred Beatrice Platt was born in Salem, Massachusetts on June 9 to Ann and Emeric Platt. Emeric is a truck driver and Ann is the manager of a supermarket. They met when they were in their mid-twenties and Emeric hit on Ann while she was restocking watermelons. They hit it off and were married after a year of dating. Mildred is their only child. Growing up, Mildred was loved by her parents, but they were often too busy with their jobs to spend much time with her. She often went to her grandparents' house after school until one of her parents was able to pick her up. Her grandparents are Herman and Carol.
The family was lower-middle class and through Mildred was a bit sensitive about it and envied children with newer, expensive things, she tended to deflect by wearing her socioeconomic status as a badge of pride and vocally being derisive of kids with better things as being "spoiled" and "soft." From a young age, she was a talkative child. Due to her older clothes, her small stature, and her hostility, she was occasionally picked on. Mildred would often fight back, in some cases pouncing on other children out of a perception of attacking before they could, regardless of if they were actually going to bother her.
As she got into conflicts with other students, her parents were called in several times to speak to teachers and the principal. It was determined that she would need to channel her energy into a more positive activity. At age 10 she began gardening with her grandmother as a way to channel some of her energy and be better at maintaining a sense of calm. While this has helped somewhat with those issues, Mildred transferred her abrasive nature into competitive gardening, determined to be the best at local gardening competitions. She enters rose competitions as well as competitions for her vegetables, and while she no longer got into as many fights in school, she is known to have poor sportsmanship at gardening competitions and has a bad reputation among the community.
In middle school, Mildred continued to spend time with her grandparents after school. She managed to pick up a few friends, most of whom tolerated her because they found her small pranks funny. She developed a habit of playing pranks on students she dislikes and then deflecting any annoyance or anger by telling them to get a sense of humor. Such pranks include covering a locker in glitter glue that spelled out an insult and licking someone's sandwich before they could eat it and calling it a "lickwich." Mildred was disciplined with dentition for such acts, which made them rarer occurrences because she found detention boring. Her parents dismiss these shenanigans as a normal part of being a child.
During an Arbor Day class party in middle school, she made brownies because she was late signing up on the list for what to bring and dessert was all that remained. The brownies were a hit, and she took note of the positive feedback from her peers. Since then, Mildred decided to pick up baking, which also helps calm her down and also earns her some good will from her classmates when she brings treats to school. Mildred contributes baked goods to class parties, bake sales, and county fair competitions. Though the former two are not competitive events, she treats them as such. Though gardening and baking have calmed her somewhat, she is very intense, even when doing these activities. In competitions and sometimes just in school, she has tried to brand herself as "DREAD" to give herself a more frightening aura. Almost no one complies with her requests to call her this, with a few calling her things like "Mildew" and "Mid-dred" instead.
Moving into high school, she had a scant number of friends and not many she would consider very close. Some students do still find her amusing, but many find her off-putting. Mildred has a habit of never accepting blame for any of her actions and maintains that other people start confrontations with her and she just responds, even if "starting a confrontation" can mean a very minor offense against her and her response is disproportionate.
At the start of high school, she noticed some fail compilations of parkour on the internet and decided she liked the concept of parkour and free running. She looked up many guides and videos online and after a rough start and several minor injuries, has been able to become somewhat good at parkour. It's her main form of exercise and she will go to parks in the area around two times a week to practice.
Her grades are generally very poor. Her average teeters in the low C high D range. Aside from not being very bright, she has no interest in learning or doing well in school. Mildred desires to work at a bakery after she finishes high school, so she sees her remaining time in school as a waste of her time. Her parents know that she has a plan to work at a bakery after high school and so, don't feel the need to push her academically. Her best subjects are home economics and physical education.
Mildred's homelife is fine. Her parents are still very busy and while they all get along well and have a good understanding of each other's habits, they don't often spend much time together. Mildred still spends a lot of time with her grandparents, who coddle her and validate her choices, no matter how poor.
Advantages: Mildred is athletic from her parkour and has good stamina. She doesn't like many of her fellow students outside of a small number of friends, and would not be quick to trust people. Her knowledge of plants may prove useful for edible and medicinal flora.
Disadvantages: Mildred is not very intelligent, impulsive, and confrontational. She does not take responsibility for her actions or learn from her mistakes as a result. Many students find her annoying and unpleasant. Physically, she is quite small.
