Area: The Hidden Cellar

Description: The cellar below the church was kept hidden by the large wardrobe that was placed on top of the trapdoor leading down into it. The cellar itself is a roughly rectangular-shaped room cut out from the stone bedrock the church was built on. Cold, wet, and populated by a large colony of spiders and rats, the cellar was used to store stashes of alcohol that had been illegally shipped to the island. All that is left of this enterprise is a large stack of empty wooden barrels and scattered glass bottles.

As of Help I'm Alive, there is an overturned empty barrel in the cellar. Iris Waite's discarded glasses are laying on the floor nearby.

As of Continuo, the wardrobe in front of the trapdoor has been tipped over, blocking the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs is the body of Angelo Lee; his weapon and bag are laying next to him.

As of cower and præy, the wardrobe has been moved just enough to allow someone to reach the cellar steps, and the khanda has been taken. Angelo's body and bag are otherwise undisturbed.

As of the first post of The Children's Crusade, the cellar is clean. The body of Angelo Lee has been moved up the stairs and into the Church; his bag has been looted and subsequently discarded. Any present blood, mildew, mold, and condensation are, for the moment, gone. The spiders and their webs, and likewise the colonies of rats, have been purposefully displaced.

In addition, the room has been re-arranged somewhat. Bottles have been placed neatly within the barrels, and those pushed toward one corner of the room. Many candles, set within candlesticks, burn around the room, illuminating it significantly; incense burns from incense holders dangling from the ceiling, and its fragrance is unmistakable and potent in the air.
