S120 - Oliveira, Lúcio [DECEASED]

#1

Post by Deamon »

Name: Lúcio Oliveira
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Grade: 12
School: John Endecott Memorial Academy
Hobbies and Interests: Comedy, Anime, Lacrosse, Bodybuilding

Appearance: Lúcio is somewhat tall (6'0") and heavy (201 pounds) due to his athletic build. While he has a naturally thin frame, due to his bodybuilding he is very visibly muscular with wide shoulders, thick, toned arms and legs, and sculpted abdominal muscles. He has a youthful, but chiseled look to his somewhat elongated face, with a sharp jawline, soft cheekbones, and dark brown eyes. His skin has an olive tone and his hair is long and black and normally kept in long, thick dreadlocks. His complexion is mostly clear, but he has some pockmarks caused by acne outbreaks early on in his development. His posture is usually relaxed and visibly welcoming. His voice is somewhat higher pitched than average for a man his age, and he usually speaks in a relaxed, friendly tone of voice.

Lúcio is typically found wearing formal attire even outside of circumstances where it is normally appropriate, such as around school, due to priding himself on his dapper looks. His default outfit consists of a white dress shirt, maroon waistcoat, gray suit pants, and a pair of black dress shoes. In warm weather or when working out, Lúcio will instead wear a white, loose-fitting t-shirt, a pair of red athletic shorts, and some plain white tennis shoes. During formal occasions, Lúcio opts to wear expensive, black suits with gold ties, and a pair of even more expensive black dress shoes.

On the day of the abduction, in addition to his usual attire, Lúcio wore an oversized, hooded, heavy orange parka and reflective snow goggles, together obscuring almost all of his face.

Biography: Lúcio Oliveira was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Matheus and Fernanda Oliveira. He is a middle child, with an older brother Rodrigo (22), an older sister Aline (20), a fraternal twin sister Mônica (18), and four younger sisters Vivian (15), Carolina (13), Lorena (10), and Natália (8). Lúcio's parents originally lived in Brazil before emigrating to the United States, and together co-own a large amount of corporate and real estate investments that they inherited from their own parents, which they collect their entire income from. Due to the productivity of their investments, Lúcio's family is wealthy, with his parents earning an average yearly income of over $180,000 from generated revenue. Due to the size of their family, they live a comfortable, upper middle-class lifestyle.

Lúcio's early life was generally very comfortable due to his parent's affluence, but rowdy due to the size of his family. He wanted for basically nothing, although his parents did temper his expectations occasionally, making sure that he only received whatever he happened to ask for in exchange for good behavior. He spent much of his time growing up in the company of his parents, since they were home nearly constantly, and was highly social with his siblings. It was here that he first developed an affinity for seeing others smile, often going out of his way to make his parents and siblings laugh at his various antics and his often poor attempts at jokes.

This love of laughter in part also came from Lúcio's love of comedy. Growing up, he greatly enjoyed comedy movies, internet skits, and TV shows, and this love would only intensify as he aged. Not only did he appreciate the laughter and positive feelings the comedy brought to him, he adored being able to pass on jokes to others later on and share the good feelings with them as well. Later on in life, this appreciation for comedy would eventually lead Lúcio to take a keen interest in stand-up comedy, often watching compilations of stand-up on the internet and occasionally catching shows live when he was able to. He often comes up with his own stand-up routines on his own and would occasionally perform them for family and friends, though the jokes contained within tended to vary between genuinely funny and groan-inducing.

Entering elementary school, Lúcio quickly found himself succeeding at making friends among his peers, due to his friendliness and humor. His teachers would often be annoyed at his antics, as they could sometimes be disruptive to the class as a whole, but overall he was a successful student, and would quiet down and behave when actively asked to do so. Around the time that Lúcio was entering 5th grade, his parents decided to move to the nearby town of Salem, Massachusetts, wanting to live in a smaller city and avoid the hustle and bustle of Boston. This ended up being a painful shift for Lúcio, and while he quickly made friends among his new peers, and was still able to see his old friends on weekends, it did leave him feeling unusually melancholic for some time, something he would eventually get over once he entered middle school.

It was around the time that Lúcio entered middle school when he began taking an interest in anime, after being shown a few shows while hanging out with a friend he had made that year. Lúcio had previously enjoyed conventional cartoons that he had seen on the television, but after watching various Shonen shows like One Piece and Dragon Ball Z, he gained an appreciation for not only how action packed these shows often were, but also for how different they were from the cartoons he had seen on television, courtesy of coming from a different culture. It was at this point that he started to watch anime on his own on the internet, earlier on by browsing illegal streaming sites, but later on by utilizing legal subscriptions to streaming services such as Crunchyroll and Hulu. Anime would eventually become Lúcio's primary media consumption, something that he isn't shy about, despite the mild social stigma that is often attached to it. While his initial interest was primarily in Shonen, over the years his tastes have rapidly diversified, and he has a distinct appreciation for a wide variety of anime genres in the modern era. His favorites include such shows as Mob Psycho 100, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Nichijou, and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.

Later on in Lúcio's middle school years, he began to be urged by both Matheus and his sporty older brother Rodrigo to take up some kind of sport, citing the fact that Lúcio's lifestyle was highly sedentary as evidence that he should give it a try. Lúcio eventually relented despite being unsure of how much he might enjoy it due to wanting to make his father and brother happy and decided to join a local lacrosse team, due to the relative strangeness of the sport compared to more conventional sports in the United States like basketball or football. While he struggled initially with the physicality of the activity, after a few months of play he began to enjoy himself quite a bit, feeling much more energetic and capable than he had before. He ended up appreciating the cooperation aspect of it and the new friends that the sport bought him, along with his increased strength, endurance, and larger muscles, the latter of which made him feel significantly more attractive and brought a boost to his self-esteem.

Eventually, when it was time for him to begin high school, Lúcio entered John Endecott Memorial Academy, a school that his parents liked and his older siblings had previously attended while it was still private, and joined the school's official lacrosse team. There he ended up finding mild success, being a slightly above average player, good enough to avoid being benched during games but not quite good enough to be the star of the team. Despite this, Lúcio remained optimistic and always made sure to bring his all to every game, content to be good enough, if not the best.

Academically, Lúcio's performance was average. He didn't excel and never maintained an amazing GPA, but he never failed any classes, either. He worked hard and did what was expected of him to please his parents, but didn't particularly try to be the best of the best, seeing no reason to do so when he was already so well-off because of his parents. Of the classes he did succeed the most at, he had the best performance and most enjoyment in more physical and hands-on classes such as various shop classes and gym class.

Later on in high school, Lúcio began to take an interest in bodybuilding. He was already physically fit due to his time playing lacrosse, but he wanted to see how far he could push his strength and how muscular he could get himself to look. To that end, he researched eating habits and got a gym membership using his generous allowance, and made it a habit of not only exercising extensively but also tuning his diet to best allow for it. He ended up being pleased with the results, both with his increased strength and how attractive his sculpted muscles made him feel. He continues to do this into the modern day.

Something that Lúcio has struggled with is his burgeoning bisexuality. While he was quick to accept his attraction to both men and women alike, his parents are devout Catholics and have expressed homophobic sentiments in this past. As a result, Lúcio has yet to reveal his sexuality to them or openly date another man, for fear of their potential response, most prominently being written out of their will and being left without an inheritance. For the time being, he intends to keep his sexuality under wraps, not even telling any of his siblings, until his parents either have a change of heart, or until they have passed away.

Lúcio is a very caring, laid-back person who's well known amongst his peers for being kind, supportive, and quick to try and get a smile or laugh out of the people around him. He always goes out of his way to make sure that the people around him are comfortable, regardless of circumstance, even going so far as to extend this kindness to complete strangers. He's very extroverted and social, always happy to make conversation and quick to try and befriend anyone he meets for the first time. He's an optimist, and an idealist, believing good times are always around the corner, and that people in general are fundamentally good-natured, even if sometimes some people can be selfish and hurtful. He's quick to trust, slow to anger, and easily forgives others for their mistakes. He has difficulty handling stressful situations, due to his wealthy upbringing leaving him as having experienced very little hardship. He has no strong religious beliefs, though he considers himself a Catholic, like his parents, and regularly attends church with them on Sundays.

Lúcio's relationship to his family members is near-universally positive, with him being well regarded by his parents and all of his siblings as someone reliable, friendly, and fun to be around. Lúcio loves all of his siblings, and while his relationship with his parents is more distant due to their homophobia, he still considers them to be positive figures in his life. His older siblings Rodrigo and Aline both think highly of him as their younger brother, though they both tend to needlessly dote on him in their own ways even as he approaches independence and true adulthood. With his younger sisters Vivian, Carolina, Lorena, and Natália, Lúcio does his best to act as a positive role model towards them, teaching them to be kind and compassionate like himself and acting as a supporting pillar that all of them can rely on for help. He is closest to his twin sister Mônica, whom he gave the affectionate nickname of "Molly" when they were younger, acting as her most common source of company when they were younger, and remaining as one of her best friends and closest confidants in the family.

Lúcio has no particular plans for the future, and no great ambitions that he wants to push himself towards. While he would like to be a stand-up comedian to emulate the comedians he enjoyed watching and listening to perform, he mostly plans on biding his time and allowing his parents to take care of his expenses so that way he doesn't have to worry about his finances.

Advantages: Lúcio is very strong and has good endurance due to his time spent playing lacrosse and exercising for the purposes of bodybuilding. He's very kind and personable, and has a large number of friends, thus making allies easier to acquire for him than most.
Disadvantages: Lúcio's trusting, optimistic, and idealistic nature could lead him to trusting the wrong sorts of people, and lead to him being easily taken advantage of. Additionally, Lúcio's wealthy upbringing and lack of real hardship in his life will likely make the stress of being in the game more difficult for him to handle than it will be for most of his peers.
