[Daniel Ozanne: Island START]
What were the fuckin' odds?
Daniel sat up and rubbed his head, muttering as many cusses as he knew under his breath. Beside him was his bag, open, and a really weird looking gun next to that. He was in... a living room? But he had a collar around his neck and his phone was nowhere to be found, and-
"Ffffffuckfuckfuckshitdamnnit-"
Rations: weirdly low? It could last a while if you rationed it, but like, the exact amount was still probably calculated to encourage people to kill each other or something. Weapon: honestly pretty unwieldy, Daniel didn't know shit about guns and like- look at him. He was a fucking twig next to this thing. Situation: fucked! Completely and utterly fucked! The first thing about Survival Of The Fittest was that only one survives, and was anyone gonna be betting on him? He sure wasn't!
"gooooooodffuuuuck-ING DAMMIT."
He stood up and knocked his head against the wall. Knocked again. Knock knock knock.

Millie, from the other house down, smashed a chair onto the ground thirty seven times before it became an unrecognizable carcass of wood. The thud-thud-thud emitting from the house was audible from a block away, as was the screaming. In the next house, the sound of a boy banging his head into the wall was accompanied by a similar rhythm.
It felt good. She imagined a face on the splinters. Her throat hurts. Her bones hurt. She was sweaty, and tired, and she didn't care.
She knocked a vase down and picked up the next chair.

Aion was standing outside of both of those houses.
Man, fuck that shit.
And he thought he was the one with anger issues. Goddamn!
((Aion Rhodes - Game Start)
"We are all fucked."
The most obvious thing that he was saying to himself outside.

"You could say that again," Amos said out loud. His hands were safely tucked away in his pockets as he looked at the snow-covered ground; it had a nice color to it.
The cold did its job seeping through his flannel, but before he could find proper shelter, all hell broke loose in these houses with horrible sounds that emanated from them. He inwardly cringed at his classmates doing this shit. It was far too loud for his liking.
Folks had anger issues in his classes; Amos knew that probability saw to that, but this was the worst time to do stuff like that.
...
"Hello." He added, eyes now on the boy standing not far from him, furrowed due to the cold.

Daniel had gotten so into the rhythm of destruction by his neighbor that he kicked a table over. Just to escalate a little bit. But the moment he did-
Crash. It was like all the rage had vented out of him. He looked at the knocked-over table with a red veil lifted from his eyes. Did he hear a crack? He definitely saw splinters. Apparently Daniel was pretty strong for a twig.
He took a deep breath, and it reminded him of the collar around his neck, and just like that, some vital brain-piece clicked into place. No hasty moves. Another deep breath. Time to put on a game face.
With fresh eyes, he re-evaluated his weapon, the hand he was dealt - his weapon. Randomly assigned, as the bloody demonstration they'd all seen informed them. It was a weird, scary-in-its-simplicity looking thing. There was plenty of ammo in his pack, so much that it seemed much harder to run out of bullets than out of protein bars, which only strengthened Daniel's theory that this shit was calculated for murder. His mouth twisted into a frown. The whole thing was twisted. He knew it from the start instinctively, but only now could put it into words.
Another deep breath. Settling himself into a calmer stature, he could still hear the echoes of kindred anger from the other house. He took his bag - containing the weird-ass gun - and opened the front door.
His eyes fell on Aion and he groaned, "oh great, it's you."

Several mugs were tossed through the window, shattering haphazardly onto the asphalt below, raining ceramic in front of the boys.
''GOD FUCKING DAMMIT,'' a voice called, shrill and hoarse.
A plate followed.
She wanted to be alone. She wanted to be where nobody could hurt her. Like a hedgehog, or a cactus, or a sea urchin- some kind of animal with a built-in weapon pointed at the world around her. She wanted to make people hurt so that they won't hurt her.

Aion almost jumped out of his skin when he heard Amos' voice, and he turned his head to look at the other guy, trying to make sure that his heart wasn't going to jump out of his mouth. Aion wasn't normally the type to get scared, but after seeing two of his teachers dying in such brutal ways... Well, he wasn't gonna be that calm about this fucked-up situation that they were all in.
"Jeez, Amos. Scared the shit out of me. Yeah, hey, glad you're not dead right now." He grumbled before looking back towards the houses, frowning a little. "Maybe we should try to-"
Before he could say anymore, he watched as one of the culprits came out of the house that was the closer one and he realized that it was Daniel of all people. He never thought that the guy would have that kind of temper on him, but well, he couldn't judge people by their covers lately.
He scoffed at Daniel's reaction towards seeing him. "Man, how cute. You sure know how to make a guy feel special." He wriggled his eyebrows at him in an exaggerated way. No, he wasn't flirting with him, and he just wanted to piss the other boy off a little.
Suddenly there was a lot of shards of ceramic flying towards them in the snow and Aion took a few steps back out of complete caution.
"Jesus fucking Christ!" He let out a small yell and he glanced towards the house where the girl's voice had come from. "What the fuck...?"

Aion looked ready to jump out of the stratosphere from Amos' appearance; a bit weird being treated like he was a cryptid, but whatever. Aion's friendly enough. But Amos' attention leaped away to the door bursting open and Daniel Ozanne showing up. The man looked pissed, bag in hand and a look on his face.
He definitely made those noises in there earlier which, uh, did not make Amos want to hang out with him that much. He and Aion seemed ready to get into it when more loud, horrible noises emerged from the other house.
Amos' eyes darted between Aion, Daniel, and the house of horrors.
"Uh, I think she's having an episode." Someone was letting loose some frustrations, and he was not keen on being the receiver.

Daniel's eyes followed the ceramic hurtling through the window, all the way to the ground. The crashing and breaking of ceramic made him flinch, but he'd be lying if it wasn't a mood. Not that he was gonna do that shit anymore. To be honest, that person was probably like him - lashing out at an uncontrollable situation. Daniel had simply come to the conclusion that the only thing he can control was himself.
"I mean, can you blame her?" He spoke more to the other person there. "'least she's letting that rage out on the fine dishware instead of a person."
He continued out of the house, on his path to next door. As he passed Aion, he glared with his eyes, but blew a kiss with his mouth and hand.
Aion, of course, was the kind of guy to assume his reaction to him was a reflex, but he'd be wrong. Much like someone on a diet would allow themselves a little sugary treat, he consciously chose to be a dick to Aion specifically.

A small, vindicative face stared down at the boys at the second story window, a clenched hand accompanying it.
''GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HERE.''
A large plastic bowl was tossed at the boys, but fell several feet short of them.
Another projectile, some painted porcelain dish, the kind for little teacups, landed a little more true.
''THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOU-''
Sniffling, and then outright sobbing. She hated it. It hurt when she punched the wall, and her knuckles are scraped and throbbing. She wanted to break something. The trail of her destruction, of toppled cupboards and ripped sheets, followed behind her, leaving a broken trail. She wanted to cleave this house in half.
The window was slammed closed.

Aion hated seeing people crying.
It wasn't that it annoyed him or pissed him off. It was more of an uncomfortable thing that he wanted to solve quickly. Also makes him think of his family crying at his older brother's funeral years ago. Dammit.
"Well, damn." He commented after Millie slammed the window shut.
He noticed the gesture that Daniel did at him, and he put up his middle finger behind his back as a big "fuck you".
"Hey, hey. You're not going in there, are you?" He called after Daniel, starting to follow after him to make sure that he wasn't going to get himself hurt by the unstable girl. He looked back at Amos with a raised eyebrow. *You coming or what?"

Both Daniel and Aion seem to get on each other nerves real quick, which Amos deemed to be either annoying stuff from school or true love in the making since they seemed to keep Amos out of it, which was also fine since he was not sure how he would deal with that kind of crap, at least right now. Especially since the house of horrors just opened one of its windows to scream at them, stuff flying out the windows too. Amos cocked his head to see the stuff that went flying with wide eyes. He flinched at the projectiles crashing against the ground, breaking into pieces as they did, a bit of waste if you were to ask him.
Nice arc to it, though.
Daniel was all about that, but he was also screaming and freaking out a bit earlier, a bit of a biased source there when it came to this topic. And maybe she was letting loose that rage against wares and stuff, but she was getting a bit close to comfort there with the ceramic.
And she was also crying, so Amos felt a bit bad about describing it as an "episode", but the part in him that was annoyed at the headache he was getting from all the noise told him he was right to be. That part was not pleased when Daniel was moving towards the house; Aion looked at him like what was he going to do, Amos did not know if he signaled something that made it seem like he would follow or even do something, so there was a bit of an awkward lull there as Amos tried to figure out before he said:
"...I'll be at the door." He answered curtly to Aion; the safest option he had here was if she kept throwing stuff, then he needed cover.
Either that or hide behind Aion.
"...You first. I'll follow."

Well, way to immediately ruin his point, whoever-it-was in the next house over. Daniel looked up and squinted at the window. When it got slammed shut, he huffed. The message was unfortunate for him, but very clear.
He kept his back to Aion. "Well, I was," he answered, tapping his finger on his chin as he pondered what to do. "But now I'm not so sure."
The girl in that house, for a few shining, violent minutes, was a kindred spirit. Nobody was driven wholly by rationality, certainly not Daniel himself - he just had an idea of how to twist it towards mutual gain. But you couldn't fall in love with any plan.
Looking up, he yelled "If you ever wanna get the fuck away from here too, I'm heading down the street and outta this town!" A lifeline, should she decide to take it.

She opened the window again, snot running down her face, and threw another plate, directly at one of the boys' heads. She wasn't sure which. Her eyes were blurry.
"SCREW OFF."
She didn't want to talk to them. She didn't want to talk to any of them. She didn't want to die and she didn't want to be here and she didn't want these men to be near her when they could have a gun and kill her and she wanted to be alone, in this little two-story house with the same wallpaper color as her bathroom, and break things until she could feel better.
Millie's breath hitched. She hated being this emotional. She wasn't supposed to be like that.

The plate smacked right against the side of Aion's head, and it cracked a little, making him stumble slightly backwards and making him let out a groan of pain.
"OW...! What the fuck was that for?" He snapped back at the girl, and he touched the side of his head, feeling a bit of a sticky substance. Great.... Just fucking great. Now he was bleeding because of some dumb bitch. "Ugh..."
He decided that he was not going to stick around for unnecessary violence. Which was kind of funny. His head was feeling a bit of throbbing pain, but he had to try to deal with it.
