Fair point, but I'm keeping my vote for now as I don't know MS's track record in the first place and how good he is on reads. I'd rather just cut our losses right now instead of keeping someone without a power role who might just contribute to the noise once night actions start happening.

That said, I'm in agreement with Goose that I'd happily lynch someone who's been suspiciously inactive or non-contributing, though I know outside of shitposting there's not a whole lot of banter to go off of day 1.

All jokes aside, I know a MS vote is inevitable, but personally, I don't like the idea of day one lynches, and lynching an active contributer is not for me.

Counterargument: picking off a lurker gives us no game info. Picking off MS suddenly tells us a fukn lot about boogie. If MS is scum I'm 99% sure he is too while if he's town I feel more comfortable that boogie's clean. Culling lurkers on day 1, especially with activity rules that naturally cull lurkers, is a huge waste of time.

The best thing we can do is get a day 1 lynch, but what's the use of that when all we're doing is lynching someone who's basically on the town's side by all known evidence? Sure it won't hurt the town right now, but I'm not sure how lynching a townie is supposed to give info. If anything it says more about the people pushing to lynch him anyway, but it's possible everyone was caught up in the need for a day 1 lynch.

Alright the round is going to end in 5 hours and this is likely the second to last time I'll be able to post today, with the next time being around 5 pm est. I'm having a lot of trouble pointing to anyone as suspicious since it's really hard for me to separate the shitposting from actual suspicious behavior. I still don't like voting MS but as MW or Paige or someone said earlier, it's better for us to lynch anyone than to no-lynch. I'm willing to hammer, but I don't think we've made an effective case for MS yet. Can someone tell me what potential reads we get from an MS lynch that we're not likely to get in the course of night actions? Because right now I honestly feel like letting the night phase play out might actually be the least-risky of the two options.

Well, here’s the thing: he COULD be completely innocent or he could be an antagonist running a very risky con. There’s no way to know for sure, and if we write him off as Town right from the get-go, that could potentially lead us down some serious bunny trails.

Winning Mafia is about gathering information, so it’s better to be aggressive and get more facts than to sit back while the numbers are slowly whittled away.
