Gonna go ahead and say that I trust that Blast is, in fact, a jailkeeper; that role is easy enough to confirm with a second power role; it'd be a difficult role to fake. This doesn't necessarily mean that Blast is town; a scum jailkeeper is possible, though somewhat unusual and difficult to balance imo.

Also having a lot of difficulty buying that Blast's comment was a calculated ploy to get town to fire randomly. It read more as town frustration to me (could be scum pretending to be frustrated town, but [x] - doubt).

I don't entirely get the sudden bandwagon against Blast, there's nothing he said that gives me a sudden "LYNCH" reaction like some people I've had. But I guess everyone really just wants a lynch at this point so anything is enough to go on? It's still hard for me to come to any conclusions about anyone, I'll do a full reread of the game tomorrow.

The claiming is weird to me but I don't know why he'd lie, since if he lied he'd be risking Deamon coming right out to contradict him.

Don't like this if MeS is town. Sets things up to lynch MeS, but you still come out of it looking good because you were 'against' it.

This doesn't make sense to me. I don't know how I was setting him up to be lynched in that post. Eight people were already voting him, he was well set up to be lynched, and I was trying to get them to cool down. In retrospect it was a mistake, considering how we ended the day without a lynch. And near the end of the day I was on board to lynch him, so I wasn't speaking against it at that point.

Huh, so that's how a Jailor works. Yeah, if it puts a post restriction on a guy, that'd be difficult to fake, and it probably isn't scum in on it together because of the whole inactivity thing- I'd think, anyway.

Both Riki and Blast read as frustrated town to me at the moment, and the whole "random lynch better than no lynch" deal is still around, but this time I have even less faith in putting my vote on blast because power roles and such- but two days without a lynch won't be good.

Hopefully we get some more info from this incident, and I would like to do reads and such, but it's nearly bedtime for me.

Some more thoughts: if MeS is scum then everyone who dropped a soft info-lynch vote on him gets a hard townread from me. Scum in our games can be quick to bus but that would really be a rather absurd bus.

If MeS is town then scumnulls on the lot of them. Then again, I was actually v suspicious of Irina while I was following along since she was one of the head info-lynchers, and she turned up town, so. Still, the info-lynch push felt really suspicious because none of the people pushing for it seemed to have any idea what kind of info they were gonna get out of it, it was very 'a lynch is good because a lynch gets info so let's make sure we get a lynch this round! lynching a vanilla townie is better than no lynch, even though I have no idea what kind of info we're actually getting out of this lynch!' (that said, this particular info lynch would now actually provide info, but it didn't when they originally said it, since the only person a MeS flip would've actually provided info on was Goose, since he was the only person voting for MeS seriously before all the info-lynchers piled on).

@Blast, Prim, Blizzard, Poly, Cactus: what info were you hoping to get out of a MeS lynch? (I know Blizzard jumped off the train, but I'd like her thoughts nevertheless).

MW has been providing onions but few reads and has generally been quiet by his standards. MW whomst are your suspects?

It's been a long time but didn't we have a discussion way back when about how info-lynches tend to benefit scum since all these non-commital votes don't actually reveal information? Since lynching for info is much much less productive than lynching for scum? since lynching for scum tends to provide much more information than lynching for info anyways? please vote for people, but please vote for the person you think is scum, not the person who you think will result in a successful lynch. (I'll make an exception if you vote for an info-lynch towards the end of a day-phase with, like, actual reasoning as to what the flip would tell us.)

Re: what info - I tend to subscribe to the philosophy that having a lynch gives you tangible information. You can see who was backing it, who maybe was trying to dissuade it, who was against it and/or reading properly. Without anything tangible to go on, people do things like read into offhand remarks and comments that frankly I don't really get?

Tldr; having a lynch makes it easy for me to follow along because mafia theory is hard as fuck for me to understand and at least it's tangible. Irina dying doesn't really give us as much because we don't know who killed her. Was it vig/sk/scum1/scum2/jack of all trades? Nobody knows. We don't even know what we've got in the game.

If we just sit around and don't lunch anyone, that's a really easy way to let scum win. Like, *really easy*. Aaaaand we don't want to do that, do we? Most of us don't, I'd assume.

Pretty sure I explained that? Dunno, wasn't thinking specifics - at one point I stated that doing something was better than doing nothing. We decided to do nothing. So I dunno what the hell is going on.
