Please note y’all have 17 hours left in the phase. I’m going to sleep now, so try not to burn the place down.

This is more or less part of my issue with them: they're a low-effort way to add oomph without standing by your words enough to risk getting your name in a vote recap.General Goose wrote: ↑Sun Apr 12, 2020 7:13 am Why are FOSes a bad thing, necessarily? Not that I really use them myself, but I find them useful as a way of like, spotting key moments if I'm way behind and need to skim or something.
Likely Jace but I wanna see what if anything he said.
So I know we've discussed stuff from Irina being questionable but this one to me quietly steps in front of the general noise because it's building a preemptive defense no matter what happens for someone who's spent all game trying really hard to defend.Irina Ivanov wrote: ↑Sun Apr 12, 2020 12:32 pm I think a Dodd lynch would get us for info, but a Jace lynch would probably be just as fine as well. If Dodd's spot flips scum I would dare say Jace gets cleared considering how hard line both of them were on lynchs, and even so, call me swayed by Jace but I don't think even if Dodd is town it would impliacate him, I don't know

Also down for the Dodd hammer as I see that's where we're going but please lemme do an overall read post first. I can even slam it if we want but I'd love to get my thoughts on every down in at least shortform since we've got over 12 hours left.

I will note that Dodd is, like, King Bus. He's been aggressively busing scumbuddies at the drop of a hat since literally the first official SOTF mafia game and pretty consistently wins off doing it without establishing a rep for it, but I was there and that first game by virtue of being the first I more or less remember.Zetsu wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 12:38 amDodd scum/Jace scum looks like an outside possibility to me. I can see scum!Jace pushing scum!Cactus, but the way Cactus pushed Jace, I'd be just very baffled if they were both scum. Would probably have to revise a whole bunch of reads if that turns out to be the case.Slam wrote:What if Dodd town/Jace town or Dodd scum/Jace scum?

I'm not really a fan of a Dodd kill, since I don't think his few posts were indicative of scum- they were scummy, but I think it's entirely possible there are other reasons for it. I think it's good that we dialed back on the dodd train to think about things some more.
I can see why rushing a train on someone first day wouldn't be an optimal scum strategy. Once the lynched person flips, the people who pushed the train end up mighty sus. So while I want to say slowing down has given me townreads, it doesn't really.
For now my thing doesn't change. If you put a gun to my head and made me vote, I'd vote for Jace. Basically every major player in this phase has an opinion on them, there's a lot of reads to be gained from it, but there's also the problem I felt like was run into in... Housewives mafia I think? Where if everyone was on the train for reads, you can't actually get much in the way of useful reads from it, is the case. So the whole "who would I vote for" thing is even less certain that it was before.
Sorry I haven't been posting much, it's a little hard to keep up and I didn't feel like I had much to contribute, often.

To be clear: I'm not saying everyone on the Jace train is doing it "for the reads" since iirc there are people who do genuinely think Jace is scummy? I just get eager new player vibes from him, really. Frazzles things a little.

Sorry. I've been frazzled here as well. Was mostly just planning on staying silent because I don't really understand what's going on anymore and was waiting for day 2 to start so I could get my head in again. My take may be 'maybe just let Dodd's slot be modkilled if we are intent on lynching him,' but I'm willing to have people tell me who to vote for.

Whether Dodd is town or scum a modkill is basically a free night kill for the opposing faction which I'm opposed to for the sake of balance in a game this small.Yugikun wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 2:59 am Sorry.
