Fen's flip doesn't give us much unfortunately. They were p quiet on matters other than Cactus.
With Jace I still feel like he's a frustrated newb who thought he wasn't a newb anymore. There's some info in day one that has me pretty sure Yugi and Jace are both town or both scum beyond the coaching.
Slam comes out looking more Town to me. Knowing how Cactus would flip I think he'd make more of a show of being against the lunch after the policy argument if he was scum. For that same reason MW comes up looking more scum to me.

Can I get a quick take on how this is affected? I actually have a personal thought but I wanna see if we line up first.
I bid you all dark greetings!

Ten points to Gryffindor Blizzard.
Blizzard's actions here read like someone sorta figuring out and putting into play the meta, but not in a way that feels coached--she's working things out and taking some stabs and I like that.

At posts #312 and #313 in the readback, and they kind of feed into my (current) belief that Jace is just inexperienced town, with the impression that it's normal to suspect everyone in a Mafia game. I get why a newbie would think that, the whole "uninformed majority" thing is kinda the point of Mafia, but like, it's not a very productive mindset imo? The majority of people in the game, at least at the start, are town, so while that thinking can theoretically spot scum behaviour earlier and nip it in the bud, I think in practice it leads to town being lynched for looking scummy. Then again this is me theorycrafting a bit here, and I'm hardly a mafia veteran, so take said theorycrafting with a grain of salt. Continuing read through.
@Paige, any preferred lynches atm?

Side-eyeing the "I don't want to get lynched a) because I'm town and b) because I want to keep playing but oh I'm gonna get lynched anyway and I've made my peace with that" thing Jace's posts day one have. The b-point combined with the resignation comes across as a tad manipulative to me.
My noobiness is shining now bc I don't know what your thought process is, because what I mean is I read Ricky slightly more as scum for the same reason you guys would see me as scum - because he was one of the only ones that supported lynching Cactus for real reasons.MurderWeasel wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 8:35 pmCan I get a quick take on how this is affected? Finished iso and am now experiencing the "joy" of playing the "is it scum behaviour or newbie behaviour" game. Will take some time to think over it all some more.
Yea this was certainly the incorrect strategy but for all intents and purposes this is basically my first game bc last game I was so in and out any post I made was just mindlessly riding waves until the end when it was down to just a few of us, so even if I can read behavior, I still don't understand most of this game or its rules. I do fr not wanna get lynched though, that was the truth. My resignation was clearly nonproductive and scummy looking tho so I'm just gonna keep playing.BlizzardeyeWonder wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 8:45 pm Side-eyeing the "I don't want to get lynched a) because I'm town and b) because I want to keep playing but oh I'm gonna get lynched anyway and I've made my peace with that" thing Jace's posts day one have. Like I've said before, I a) didn't know that VT was considered so expendable that I'd likely get voted even if I wasn't seen 100% as scum and if I had I wouldn't have revealed it, and b) I expected a giant dogpile the second this day phase started back up so now that I know we're not quite there yet, I'd rather just go back to playing the game. I hope the day I get assigned a scum role my play isn't this horrible lol
did we have to do 25 pages for day 1 guys geez
