And now Yugi's like my hardest fucking townread.
V8 Characters:
Hades Thompson: Scary on the outside, dying on the inside
Ruth Flanagan: Never talk to me or my brother or my brother or my brother or my brother ever again
Vladimir Tepes: Not a vampire, so invite him in

yugi is either town or scumbuddies with jace and that would be a very blatant scumbuddy thing to do so probably town

Yugi said earlier that he felt like Jace was attaching onto him, to dispel any accusations of 'coaching' and the whole advent trooper thing doesn't seem scummy enough to be scumbuddying. It's too obvious. Also, mafia have night chat now, sooooo no point in buddying so obviously.
Also, MW, what I mean is like, starting/pushing a train, with even a little evidence, then sitting back and watching the madness as town lynches town. Basically like, cleaning their hands. Dodd looked to me like he was doing that because he jumped onto a bandwagon, and then didn't reply or push further then that one post until he started to get accusations thrown back at him.

Supposing Yugi is scum, does he have stronger options than what he just did? If Jace flips town then I'm down for Yugi as strong town but I don't see how y'all are ruling out scumbuddies here. Scum didn't have night chat when the slip happened, and Yugi was already committed to the Trooper slip before Fen flipped. His other options are to either say he is an Officer, which looks weird, or that he's not vanilla, which opens him up to tests and risks of doubling up on a roll if either scum doesn't have fake claims or their fake claims are all vanilla.
I want to believe Jace and Yugi are town but saying Yugi is hard town for committing to his best out feels rushed to me.

Honestly, having some time to think about it, it does seem odd to me that Yugi would claim trooper after a VT flipped, when yesterday he said the stuff about ADVENT officers and how that might confuse Jace into thinking the good guys were the humans iirc. I think it sort of speaks to not knowing what the VTs were flavour wise, which might mean either Yugi is scum (which would make Jace look scummy for taking his advice and claiming Officer), or Yugi is a power role. Not vt in any case.

im glad at least one person believed my bluff of 'reveal your townie info in the most indirect way possible so you can attempt to trick scum into thinking you're more than a townie and as thus make them try and nightkill you'BlizzardeyeWonder wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 12:10 pm Honestly, having some time to think about it, it does seem odd to me that Yugi would claim trooper after a VT flipped, when yesterday he said the stuff about ADVENT officers and how that might confuse Jace into thinking the good guys were the humans iirc. I...wut? Walk me through the math on this one. What you said was
which you're saying was a gambit to make scum think that you were more than a vanilla townie by hinting at the vanilla townie role you possess, the name of which they have no way of knowing? Outline the steps for how scum gets from point A to point B for me if you would? 'Cuz right now this sounds like a play rewrite that doesn't actually add up.Of note: there are a non-zero amount of people in the town who are humans, sorta. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here, but ADVENT does have troopers who, at the very least, used to be (and physically look) human, right?

Yugi might be referencing the fact there's only one nightkill? I don't know. Taken at face value I was mostly willing to chalk it up to "Yugi makes bad Yugi joke #2029". But then again, you can't take anything at face value here.

no i'm with paige here, how does soft-claiming vanilla townie trick scum into thinking yugi's a power role, i dont get it
yugi's other option here was not claiming at all, I suppose. There wasn't any particular pressure on him to claim, right now. Though claiming vt trooper at this junction might still be the best option for scum!yugi?

Yeahh admittedly when Yugi claimed I appreciated it bc I didn't wanna get lynched for lore choices Deamon made, but I was also worried bc of all people that could have backed me up there, it was the person who was already mildly under suspicion in connection to me lol. I was gonna say that last night but like, I hope Yugi isn't scum bc backing me up at so many turns then me flipping town would probably confirm them as town to all of you (which is what'll happen regardless of if Yugi is scum or not) is, like, a solid scum play. And I'm, like, wary of that. But certainly appreciative of the claim bc like I said, of all things I could get lynched for, lore choices by the GM isn't my favorite.

Coming around to a scum team of Jace, Yugi, Irina.
That is also my order of lunch preference.
Vote: Jace

i'm townreading paige so hard right now, y'all
(paige is brilliant scum so i'm not willing to say that her play is 100% town but like. this looks pretty tough to fake)

You're going to have to elaborate on that one Zetsu.
