Blight's group of problem children

The thread where I introduce the children that I'll probably be handling. Might make changes, but I'm happy with these kids.

V9 Pregame is in development! So while you wait for it’s arrival this is the place where you can look for friends, enemies, romances, hobby groups, school clubs and much more! You can start planning threads of your own in this forum to sort out any specific relationships you want for your characters, or you can look through what others' are looking for to find something that would work for your character. Please note that V9 Pregame is still in the future; this forum is merely to allow for more direct and focused planning now that class and location details have been revealed.

Blight's group of problem children

Hiya! I'm new to this, so point out any improvements I should make without mercy please~!
[+] Marie Tudor
"There is always someone better than me, is it? Well, that just means I'm not trying hard enough."

Appearance: Marie is a White girl with sharp, hazel eyes and short, reddish hair. She likes wearing golden earrings and typically sports a raven-shaped hairpin. Marie often wears expensive, classic and elegant dresses, preferring outfits that command the attention of others and give her a sense of authority.
[+] Picrew approximation
Image
(Picrew used)
Personality: Marie is bold, confident, and charismatic around others, often acting with the dignity and grace of a modern noble. Although she was born in a rich family, she isn't satisfied with living a comfortable life, and instead dedicates herself to achieving greater heights than she currently stands on. Marie is also prideful and honorable, and she will never go back on a deal or a promise. Her pride and greed are only matched by her diligence in achieving her goals.

Relationships (TBD):
  • Loyal Subjects: That's what Marie calls them in her head, anyway. They're the ones Marie trusts the most and she considers the most useful.
  • Friends: Even though they're just high-schoolers, Marie is constantly on the lookout for talent that can assist her in the future. Despite her slightly snobbish personality, she is very generous to people she considers allies.
    • Taylor Olson-Chen- "They seems to want to seduce me for my status. Heh, I like ambitious subjects, and a contact in the entertainment industry would be useful, so I'll play along."
    • Claude O'Neil Porter- "He's a bit too soft-hearted for the type of work I would typically give to someone of his skillset, but he'd make an excellent potential bodyguard in the future."
    • Mercedes “Mercy” Myers-Prescott- "Having a contact in the Prescott family would be quite beneficial. Besides, I admire her ambition and independence. She somewhat reminds me of myself."
    • Lawrence Willoughby- "A proactive go-getter with a lot of energy in his tank. Not bad."
    • Raya Loux- "I like her confidence, and in a world of machines, having a voice that is familiar with the mechanical side of things is certainly quite useful."
    • Meghan “Meggy” Roberts- "Good leadership skills and strong convictions. I like her. Unfortunately, being the way that she is, I doubt that she can be a cop for long, or at all."
    • Inessa Highman-Roberts- "Her photography is quite lovely. I look forward to seeing what she intends to do with that skill in the future."
    • Clarissa Shoemaker- "Useful connection to have with that wide social circle of hers, and easy enough to get a favour from."
    • Trish Prescott- "A wonderful ally to have in more ways than one. I respect her ambition, and she's the horse I'm backing. I like her much better than her brother."
  • Acquaintances: Either people Marie aren't interested in, or ones she is in the process of trying to get on her side.
    • Lily Kemp- "Exceptional fighting skills and very straightforward. I like that. Someone who makes friends with such a...unique method isn't likely to betray me for petty reasons either. I would very much like her on my side."
    • Russell Otto- "Sharp and charming, conversing with him is often entertaining. My instincts say that he isn't at all what he portrays himself as, but there's little benefit for me to confront him about that. Best to just keep him close and in sight."
  • Enemies: She is no stranger to making enemies, though if someone is good enough for Marie to recognize them as a foe, she would much rather try to get them on her side instead.
    • Heather Klein- "I'd love to have her as an advisor. A strong will and firm beliefs are great traits to have, and her viewpoint differs from mine so greatly that having her perspective on things would be wonderful! It's a shame that we can't be friends."
    • Mihai Dabija- "Geez, he seems to think that I want to control him, but that's ridiculous. I use people, not control them. Controlling people is impossible with our current technology...and it'd be unethical, I guess."
    • Chester Brenton- "Lazy, apathetic, and completely lacking in ambition. He is everything I despise about this social class of mine. Do better."
[+] Jason Chase
"It's showtime!"

Appearance: Jason is a White boy that is short and slim, with black hair and pale blue eyes. He wears a variety of outfits, ranging from punk rock styles to Bohemian Chic, that seem to change every day, some of which he made himself. Jason also enjoys experimenting with various makeup styles, and he has a seemingly endless variety of earrings he wears.
[+] Picrew approximation
Image
(Picrew used)
Personality: Jason is a showman through and through, and he loves pulling off flashy stunts in the name of entertaining his audience, even when there's no one actually watching him. He's a cheerful jokester who loves putting on a show, though his careless words often land him into trouble. Not that he minds much: Jason is absolutely willing to risk his life for a bit or to put on a good show.

Relationships (TBD):
Jason is a part of the theatre club as a costume maker and makeup manager. He's also a fairly good actor, though he doesn't like doing it much since it's "uninteresting" to him.
  • Friends: Anyone who can keep up and/or put up with his bullshit deserves a prize, to be honest.
    • Taylor Olson-Chen- "They know what it takes to make true entertainment and they have the skills to pull it off to! Haha! I don't think I'll ever get sick of them!"
    • Claude O'Neil Porter- "He's LAME. I mean, come on, 'don't jump off the roof, Jason.', 'breaking a few dumb bones isn't worth it for peak entertainment, Jason.', what is he? My grandpa? ...Heh, I do appreciate the times he saved my butt though, including that one time he rushed me to ER after I jumped off a roof."
    • Mercedes “Mercy” Myers-Colman- "Theatre friend! She's really good with makeup and costumes, and I learn a lot from her in that department!"
    • Wallace "Wally" Whitaker- "Theatre friend! I helped him out with some cosplays before and he seems like a pretty friendly guy!"
    • Simon Smith- "I help him out from time to time with makeup for his horror projects! Of course I'd be happy to assist a fellow horror fan~!"
    • Adrienne Tsai- "Not the type I'd typically hang out with, but I see a lot of potential in her! She's definitely hiding someone entertaining in that facade of hers!"
    • Raya Loux- "Love her handiwork! Some gadgets are a bit too complicated for me to DIY on my own, but she can follow my ideas a-okay! Wonder what I should ask her to make next..."
    • Céline Sharpe- "She's so weird! I love her! I wish I can pull off that style so well, though it's hard to get so many charms that suit me. I talk to her all the time, we're totally besties!"
    • Beau Larkfin- "He's a whole lot of fun to be around! Super good at climbing and even taught me a few tricks!"
    • Inessa Highman-Roberts- "Trying out all those anime costumes is super fun, and seeing all the designs give me a ton of inspiration! Oh I should totally get her to take a few pics of my stunts someday!"
  • Acquaintances: Tends to make an effort to get to know as many people as he can, just to see if he can find anyone who's entertaining.
    • Lily Kemp- "Her fights are truly something to behold! Some of the best entertainment in school~!"
    • Ray Janeczek- "Horror club buddy! He's quiet, but he's got some pretty good horror recommendations!"
  • Enemies: Jason isn't the type to hold a grudge, but the people he accidentally piss off might be.
    • Russell Otto- "He's so easy to set off, it's hilarious! The more rotten an apple is, the easier it is to push a finger right to the core when you're just poking fun~"
    • Remi Dayfree- "Geez, why act so serious? Isn't it exhausting to be wound up so tightly?"
[+] Lucy Wu
"Just keep pushing forward, Lucy...It's fine. You can do this."

Appearance: Lucy is a Chinese girl with a slim build. She has dull grey eyes and long black hair that she typically ties in a ponytail. Lucy dresses very simply, preferring a t-shirt with shorts on most days, and her only notable accessory is an earring with a wolf design.
[+] Picrew approximation
Image
(Picrew used)

Personality: Lucy is very shy and withdrawn, and she doesn't talk with others much either. She is prone to avoid confrontation and will usually do whatever other people tell her to without complaint just to avoid getting into a fight. Lucy is also a bit of a perfectionist, and despite seeming like a doormat, she is incredibly determined and will bang her head against a wall until it breaks if she feels like she has to. Because of that determination and her aversion to conflict, she is prone to keep her burdens in her heart and hardly ever confides in others.

Relationships (TBD):
Lucy is a part of the fencing club and performs very well in all three disciplines, though she prefers using the sabre.
  • Friends: She finds it hard to open up to others, though when she finds someone she trusts, she'll trust them for life.
    • Taylor Olson-Chen- "...They seem nice. I-I don't know why they want to waste time talking to me, though..."
    • Claude O'Neil Porter- "I'm a little scared around him, but I think he seems like a good person..."
    • Meghan “Meggy” Roberts- "She's very nice to me, and she isn't overwhelming to chat with either."
    • Abigail “Abby” Lester- "I feel like...we're a bit similar. It's easy to talk to her, at least."
    • Trish Prescott- "I kinda admire her...We're similar, in a way, but it feels like she has her sights set on things I can't even imagine...I hope my fencing tips for her are okay, at least."
  • Acquaintances: Doesn't pay attention to others most of the time, and prays that others do the same with her.
    • Lily Kemp- "She's a little scary..."
    • Adrienne Tsai- "I grouped up with her a few times for projects since neither of us wants to talk a lot...I don't know a lot about her, but she seems nice."
  • Enemies: She isn't the type to make enemies. You have to be really bad for her to hate you.
[+] Olivier Hawk
"Aim before you release. Think before you act."

Appearance: Olivier is half-White, half-Native American. He has short, brown hair and dark green eyes, with a mole under his right eye and a small scar on his chin. Olivier wears slim-fitting clothes and is almost always seen wearing a shoulder guard, a bracer, and his old, worn-out archery gloves.
[+] Picrew approximation
Image
(Picrew used)

Personality: Olivier is very cold and distant, and he is usually very blunt and harsh to the few people who do approach him. He doesn't care for social niceties and would much rather be left alone. Olivier is careful and calculating, always looking two steps ahead and making sure that he has thought each and every decision through.

Relationships (TBD):
Olivier is a part of the archery club. He is a skilled archer, but refuses to participate in any competition, and is only in the club for access to the archery range and arrows.
  • Friends: Unlikely to have many. He doesn't treat people he considers as friends much different from anyone else, either.
    • Remi Dayfree- "Doesn't mince words and doesn't expect me to mince mine. She's good company."
  • Rivals: A worthy foe.
    • Mihai Dabija- "Even though he uses the easier weapon between us, I guess he's still a damn good shot. It's always a treat to see him on the range...because I really like watching him shoot. *Ahem*, because I'd never miss an opportunity to prove that I'm the better sharpshooter."
  • Acquaintances: You'd have to be really damned interesting for him to bother remembering your name.
    • Lily Kemp- "Solid skill. Great strength. She'd be a solid hunter if she wasn't born in this stupid desert."
    • Claude O'Neil Porter- "Strong, but he seems like the type that isn't able to kill his prey. What a waste."
    • Simon Smith- "Annoying. Does he think that archery is some kind of show to watch?"
    • Lawrence Willoughby- "Why is he pretending to be my friend? What does he possibly get out of it?"
  • Enemies: Possibly a few because of his foul personality, but he keeps to himself and doesn't actively try to antagonize others.
My kids:

[+] Lucy Wu
"Just keep pushing forward, Lucy...It's fine. You can do this."

Marie Tudor

Lily: Marie wants to have Lily as a loyal subject, for her brute strength and straightforward nature. This would not be the case however as Lily is incredibly distrustful, putting her mostly at Acquaintances
Taylor: Taylor would probably be on her friend's list, considering her wide skillset and talent. Taylor would also be someone who constantly flirts with her. wanting to "Eat the rich( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)" Out.

Jason Chase

Lily: Lily knows of him, but doesn't particularly care about him. That said, he has only managed to make her chuckle slightly and only once.
Taylor: CAN YOU SAY PARTNER IN CRIME?! Besties, in fact they are like a dynamic duo. When Jason is up to mischief there is a good chance Taylor isn't far behind.

Lucy Wu

Lily: A girl who keeps her head down? Why would Lily ever cause her issue. Despite this should she ever get in trouble or pushed around, Lily would help.
Taylor: They say every introvert needs an extrovert. Taylor is determined to be this girl's extrovert, being respectful of boundaries of course, Taylor has enough determination to break through her walls and befriend her. Also one of the few who are completely excluded from flirting, without being told.

Olivier Hawk

Lily: Lily doesn't even know he exists.
Taylor: Respects his work effort and besides occasionally entertaining the idea of "I can fix him." Still tries to be nice but knows when someone is a "Lost cause." in friendship terms.

Howdy, I've come to givesome suggestions in regards to the friendships your kids can have with mine, Claude.

Marie - The way I see it, Claude could quite possibly be a good intermediary between being a loyal subject and being a friend, with him only slightly leaning more towards being a loyal subject due to how easy-going he is and how useful he can prove to be for Marie.

Jason - I envision Jason being great friends with Claude in a sort of comedic way; Claude tags along to make sure Jason doesn't get hurt when performing any stunts, and in case that does happen, he always makes sure to take him to the clinic/hospital. So, I see their friendship being one of painful comedy.

Lucy - She is an interesting case in a sense that, although she would be great friends with Claude, I see her showing a sort of suspicion towards him. Because why would someone like him be friends with her? Was he looking to gain anything out of their friendship? Truth to be told- No, he was and is not. He is really just someone who is great friends with everyone and wants to be there to help people in their time of need.

Olivier - The manner in which their relationship could work out could be similar to how Marie's works. Olivier could possibly consider Claude as an intermediary between being a friend and an acquaintance.

These are all my suggestions but I'm more than happy to change them to better suit your suggestions.

I like it! Jason would probably see Claude as a bit of a nagging grandpa, but appreciate his help regardless. Lucy would find it difficult to understand Claude's intentions and be rather quiet and withdrawn around him, but still appreciate his company. Olivier isn't the type to humour others, but he respects Claude's strength enough to at least be courteous with him.

Hello it's me, me. (if you read me as the letters M and E it sounds a bit like Emmy, which is me!)

Anyway.

Marie!
First up, loathing so strong the fandom will call it sexual tension: Heather Klein hates her guts. It's as simple as that.
Mercy Myers probably likes her though, unless she (shameless plug) is aligned with these lot should they come into being.
Hope and LK probably don't have much to offer. Hope I imagine has a mildly negative opinion from afar, seeing her as a negative influence on Taylor? And LK just kinda thinks she's hot in a "step on me queen" way but I can't see her making a move, they seem like they'll be moving in pretty different circles.

Jason!
Theatre kid! Mercy kinda inverts his vibe; she'd rather have the attention of being centre-stage, but is rather good on makeup (specialising in effects stuff, horror stan) as well. So they've got that in common.
Unsure if they'd move in similar circles, but LK most definitely likes his energy.
Not much to say with Hope or Heather.

Lucy and Olivier... I don't have much to suggest for, but I'm open to ideas.

Marie would like Heather for her fiery personality and strong ideals, and feel that it's a pity that they can't be friends due to differing views. Marie would also probably befriend Mercy, partly because of Mercy's family, but also because Marie likes her ambition to stand on her own two feet and and make a name for herself on her own achievements, something Marie empathizes with.

Jason would be friends with Mercy! He'd totally have Mercy critique his makeup and his costumes from time to time.

Marie: I could see her looking down on Flick for her fashion sense, since frequents stores such as Goodwill, Ross, Bealls, etc. But, she also could be impressed by Flick's cooking ability. She'd probably find Simon weird for his interest in horror. She'll write off Don as another one of the nerds. For Taylor, she might be impressed by her tennis and martial arts abilities. As for Wally, she might find him handsome and a skilled actor.

Jason: Since Wally is an actor in theatre club, no doubt they would have interacted. Wally is a friendly guy and they've probably had some pleasant conversations. And maybe Wally has asked for his help in making his cosplays. I could see Simon going to him for advice on makeup for his horror projects.

Lucy: Flick would probably ask her where she got that wolf earring.

Olivier: Perhaps Taylor's martial arts abilities will catch his eye. Flick might come off as obnoxious. And he'll find Simon kinda weird. I can imagine Simon asking him to help out in one of his videos if he needs a kill with a bow and arrow.

Marie won't have much of an opinion on Flick's clothes since she herself has no interest in fashion and dresses nicely solely for the practical reason that people are more likely to listen to someone who is attractive. Besides, "Not everyone can afford the best of the best, and that's perfectly fine.". Other than that, I don't see her having much interest on everyone else.

Theatre friend! Also, Jason loves horror movies, so he'd definitely bond with Wally over that.

Lucy would mumble out something about a gift from her mom. She doesn't know where to buy one either

Olivier might remember Taylor if he ever saw her in action for whatever reason. He'd also shut down Simon's request almost instantly.

Your local Finch here with prospective relationship ideas 8-)

Marie:
Mihai would absolutely hate her guts. He hates rich people, he hates people who match his ambitions, and he hates people he sees as threats/having the potential to try and control him (damn, what a hater).

Law would be the polar opposite, totally entertaining her the whole high status thing she has going on and probably counting as either a loyal subject or a friend, depending on Marie's opinion on him. Going with the royalty theme, he'd be closest to the role of a royal advisor, despite the fact he probably doesn't have any worthwhile advice.

No significant relationship with Adrienne.

Jason:
Adrienne has the potential to be yet another friend of his. Not only does she get along well with more eccentric people who make her feel like she can be herself, but she usually goes to watch the school performances and would likely have a respect for those behind the creative designing aspect of it all. While she doesn't like being in the spotlight, which could potentially cause her to fade into the background if they're in a group with other people, they could probably serve to balance each other out - with Jason helping her embrace her quirks and Adrienne helping with grounding him when he acts extra crazy.

No significant relationship with Mihai or Law.

Lucy
Adrienne could work as an acquaintance. While she would probably feel too awkward to open up to her, they seem like the people who could hang out once in a while and not really talk that much, but just enjoy each other's company. Also, if they were to be in the same class and they didn't have any close friends in there, they'd probably work together for group projects to avoid talking to the people that overwhelm them.

Mihai would probably intimidate her and Law would have too much energy for her, so there would be no significant relationship there.

Olivier:
Mihai would have SUCH a complicated relationship with him. On the one hand, he would absolutely hate him, but on the other hand, he'd simultaneously find himself admiring and respecting him for his personality and skill. They also both focus on target sports, with Mihai doing rifle shooting and Olivier doing archery, which could potentially add some layer of both recognition but also rivalry on their behalf.

Law would annoy the hell out of him, no doubt. He'd try to act like they were friends because he thinks Olivier's cool, but he probably wouldn't be very tolerated.

No significant relationship with Adrienne.
[+] V9 plans
Mihai Dabija - the entire country of romania
Adrienne Tsai - rebellious girl but she's too scared to rebel so she's not
Lawrence Willoughby - guy who loves the woods so he naturally lives in a desert

May or may not exist I don't know what's going on here:
Mina Soto - goths if they were a little bit insufferable and online

Marie probably would've liked to be at least amicable with someone like Mihai, but not too concerned about it. She's fine with being disliked. She would like Law's go-getting and proactive attitude and befriend him for that reason.

Jason would love poking at Adrienne to see her true self ever since "I sense a way more entertaining person you hide in there.". He'd probably like Law, tbh. He seems like someone who can keep up with him.

I love the idea of Lucy and Adrienne being awkward buds that get paired up in group projects to avoid socialising the with others! She'd be way too intimidated by Mihai and Law though yeah.

Olivier will absolutely find Law annoying and constantly try to stonewall him lol. I love that dynamic between Mihai and Olivier! He'd likely make a snarky remark or two about Mihai using the "easy weapon", but he'd genuinely respect Mihai's skill and find himself watching Mihai practice when they're in the shooting range together while trying to one-up him.
Also he'd totally find Mihai hot tbh.
My kids:
[+] Marie Tudor
"There is always someone better than me, is it? Well, that just means I'm not trying hard enough."

A natural leader whose pride and greed is only matched by her diligence.
[+] Jason Chase
"It's showtime!"

A showman and a jokester, constantly on the lookout for the most entertaining thing possible.
[+] Lucy Wu
"Just keep pushing forward, Lucy...It's fine. You can do this."

A shy and timid fencer with determination as strong as steel.
[+] Olivier Hawk
"Aim before you release. Think before you act."

A cold and distant archer with sharp wits and an even sharper tongue.

My characters

So the only idea I have is that Marie strikes as someone who'd be very unamused by Mo's antics and would view him as human dirt.

Hey there! Great list do characters you have here! Here’s my thoughts of how my girls and guys would see them!

My characters; (viewtopic.php?t=9029 )
Meghan “Meggy” Roberts
  • Marie Tudor: Meghan would define toy like Marie, finding her dedication and her ambition both admirable and inspiring. Whenever they cross paths, she’ll always stop to try and have a friendly chat with her
    • Quote: “She’s so cool! I think she’s a good role model for other students!”
  • Jason Chase: Meggy would find Jason’s antics very amusing and funny, and she would always stop and watch whenever he does one of his antics.
    • Quote: “He’s such a funny guy! I’m glad people can still enjoy themselves in school!
  • Lucy Wu: Meghan would feel a great deal of sympathy towards Miss Wu, and understand her closed off nature. Meghan would always try and strike up a conversation with Lucy whenever she sees her and always say that if she ever needs anything or wants to talk, she’ll be there to listen
    • Quote: “I just want someone to feel a little better about themselves. And I hope that Lucy will come to me to talk if she has any issues.”
  • Olivier Hawk: Meghan would have initially attempted to be nice and sweet towards Olivier, but his cold attitude made her feel hurt and she now avoids him whenever she could. She feels like she insulted him in some way and wants to know what she did to fix it.
    • Quote: “I always try and be so nice, but he’s just so cold. I wonder what I did wrong…”

Chester Brenton
  • Marie Tudor: Chester comes from a similar wealthy upbringing, yet absolutely hates Marie for her confidence and her ambitions, due to his lack of own, and feels incredibly inferior to her. He finds Marie’s ambition dumb and meaningless due to her cokfortable upbringing, and will make it clear to her whenever he has the chance
    • Quote: “Rich girl trying to play bohemian. Barf.”
  • Jason Chase: Chester would have to be waterboarded before he would admit that he actually finds Jason amusing. But whenever Jason does a joke or an antic towards him, Chester would just stare blankly and either walk away or say a snide comment insuinating that he never had any attention at home. However, if he sees Jason do something funny, he will chuckle to himself and quickly walk away.
    • Quote: “Yeah sure, he’s kinda funny, but he’s still annoying as shit.”
  • Lucy Wu: Chester would, surprisingly, find some amount of ease towards Lucy due to her own closed off nature. Chester himself wouldn’t be able to admit it, he doesn’t care for anyone and can’t be bother too, but he does notice that Lucy does hold her burdens deep and finds some amount of sympathy for her. Whenever he’s crosses path with her, he’ll sometimes just say a “hi” and if they’re in the library or somewhere else, he’ll start a small conversation with her,
    • Quote: “It’s not that I enjoy her company, I just feel bad for her.”
  • Olivier Hawk: Chester would absolutely find Olivier a non entity. He treats Olivier like how he treats others: Bluntly. Chester would admire Olivier’s archery skills and his coldness to an extent but when it comes down to it, he’d rather just stay away
    • Quote: “At least I can respect his lack of talking to people.”
Abigail “Abby” Lester
  • Marie Tudor: Abby would find Marie charming and feel nice to talk with her, finding an admiration towards her diligence. Despite this, Abigail never tries to be close with Marie due to her own shyness and prefers simply saying a “Hi” and leaving it at that.
    • Quote: “She’s really nice…”
  • Jason Chase: She finds Jason really funny and amusing, always smiling softly and warmly whenever he jokes and does something, and can even laugh sometimes.
    • Quote: “He’s funny…”
  • Lucy Wu: Like Meghan, Abby shows a great amount of empathy and would always start up a conversation to Lucy whenever they’re alone. She can deeply empathize with her carrying her burdens, like her, and would encourage her to tell her any problems she might haves though she won’t be able to do the same.
    • Quote: “I hope she’s doing okay…”
  • Olivier Hawk: Abigail definitely tries to avoid Olivier when she has the chance. She finds him intense and mean to her, and she always finds ways to get far away from him whenever they cross paths in rooms or in the halls.
    • Quote: “He’s kinda intense…”
Russell Otto

  • Marie Tudor: Russell would try and talk to Marie when he could, finding her charming and usually try and make friendly conversation, though Marie could probably tell that Russell is…off. And is definitely two face, despite Russell’s attempts at being a chivalrous individual.
    • Quote:
  • Jason Chase: Whenever Jason makes a joke, Russell would laugh. Inside, however, Russell would become paranoid towards Jason and whether he would ever make jokes about him, and think that his goofiness and showmanship was some sort of act, and eventually Russell would eventually just give Jason a death glare when he sees him. The fact he makes Abigail laugh too doesn’t help anything, and would usually hurt Abigail away whenever he catches her laughing.
    • Quote: “What is he saying about me?”
  • Lucy Wu: While Russell may be charming and polite to Lucy, in truth he finds her super pathetic and easy to order her around, asking her to do time consuming and exhausting favors for him like get food from a vending machine at the other side of the school, knowing she’ll do it. He finds this extremely amusing, though he seems to just think she’s nothing more than a doormat.
    • Quote: “It’s just amusing how easy it is to get her to do something for me.”
  • Olivier Hawk: Russell would not like Olivier at all, especially after Russell would try and say something friendly only to be brushed off. He held that as a vendetta and finds himself very unable to hide his contempt towards the kid.
Let me know what you think and if you wanna expand on any of this!
May Love Guide you!

Beau:
Beau tries to make friends with everyone he meets. Let's see how that'll work with your kids...
Beau is an insanely skilled climber, but I'm not sure how his hobbies would align with whatever Marie had planned.
However, Beau would fit perfectly with Jason's inner circle! While he has no problems with his stunts, he's always aware of Jason's careless words.
For both Lucy and Oliver, he'd be interested in both of them for their athletic skills, although his Golden Retriever-like personality might be overbearing for both of them.

Inessa:
I feel like Inessa can be helpful to Marie in some ways. She's not only aiming to be a professional photographer and is in the student yearbook, but is also a know-it-all about anime, if that ever comes up.
Inessa could also be friends with Jason and Oliver because they remind her of a few characters from in-universe anime she watches. She may have asked them to pose for a few cosplay photos to build her portfolio.
Inessa met Lucy for a yearbook photo, but other than that, their relationship doesn't expand.

Marino:
Marie and Marino are acquaintances. He's not up for being friends with her but can prove useful if his rise to baseball fame soars off.
Marino's also acquaintances with Jason. He does like him for his wreckless stunts, but then Jason accidentally said a few wrong words that insulted him.
Nothing on Lucy, but for Oliver, Marino might prove to be either another acquaintance or a rival. Baseball bats and baseballs versus bows and arrows, who's better?

Remi:
For Marie, I would say Remi could've been useful to her in the past as a loyal subject, but Marie might've lost interest in her when Remi quit her swim team.
Jason might have Remi as an enemy when he unknowingly insulted her perfectionism.
Remi and Lucy haven't interacted with each other, but Remi might be jealous of her fencing skills.
Two words to make Remi and Oliver friends: Brutal Honesty. They'll have similar views of their less-desirable classmates.

Love them! Just gonna expand on a few of them with my own kids' thoughts.

Meghan “Meggy” Roberts
  • Marie would likely engage with Meghan's conversations, a friend is a friend, after all. She's interested in making connections with future police officers, though internally, she does not categorize Meghan as one of those at all, believing that she would not be able to withstand the actual corrupt environment of law enforcement.
  • While Lucy typically shies away from conversations more often than not, a small chat with someone like Meghan who isn't too intense and seems to really care is thankfully within her social capabilities. Though she doesn't speak much, she generally has a nice time when Meghan approaches her.
Chester Brenton
  • Chester is everything Marie hates about her affluent upbringing: a person who is unambitious and lazy who gets to coast through life without accomplishing anything at he could have with all the advantages he's born with, and she isn't afraid to throw back snark whenever he dares to make a comment about her ambition. She might've once considered trying to befriend him for wealthy connections, but a slacker like him wouldn't be of any use to her anyway.
Abigail “Abby” Lester
  • Lucy finds a lot of kinship within Abigail, having a shared struggle of not being able to communicate their own problems with others. Abigail is likely one of the few people Lucy would actively greet first and even though she doesn't know how to even begin being of help to her, Lucy will try to make sure that their interactions are at least pleasant for Abigail.
Russell Otto
  • Marie has no lack of experience looking at two-faced individuals in her life, and she can somewhat tell that Russell isn't all as he seems on the surface. Even so, she makes sure to be courteous and friendly with him, partly because she finds his strong charisma useful, and partly because she'd rather keep him close to have a closer eye on him.
  • Jason, on the other hand, is both sharp enough socially to tell why Russell dislikes him, and bold enough to make jokes about it right in his face. While he doesn't bother to confront Russell about it directly, he takes great pleasure in making underhanded remarks and pointed jokes about Russell whenever he's within earshot while keeping enough deniable plausibility to keep him guessing on how serious Jason's statements actually are.
  • Just like most others, Russell will not find it difficult to order Lucy around at all. She'll do as she's told, when she's told, without much complaint or remarks. Doormat indeed.

Love these ideas! Here's a bit of expanding on them from my kids' POV.

Beau:
Marie would have little in common with Beau, though as with most of her schoolmates, she'll aim to be at least courteous with him. Jason would love him though! He'd regularly try to get tips from Beau on how to climb better and often invite him to help out with whatever crazy stunt he decides to pull off next. And yeah, Lucy and Olivier will likely be scared or annoyed respectively by Beau's personality and high energy.

Inessa:
Marie would be happy to try to make friends with Inessa! Even though the usefulness of anime knowledge is lost on Marie, photographers tend to work in fields that she'd be happy to have as many connections as she can in. Jason would happily put on any cosplays Inessa wants from him, even going so far as to trying to help make/improve those cosplays as well. He has surface knowledge on most animes, though not as in-depth as Inessa, as if he's only watched the first few episodes every time before getting bored. Olivier, on the other hand, absolutely would not entertain Inessa without having a good reason to, since he has no interest in cosplay or anime.

Marino:
Like Beau, Marie would be courteous with Marino, and even if he isn't interested in being friends, she'd at the very least aim for him to know her name well, as she does with most of her acquaintances that she sees potential in. Undoubtedly, Jason would've said something that rubbed Marino the wrong way, as he does with most people he comes across, though it's unlikely that Jason himself would remember it. Olivier probably wouldn't care much about baseball, but he can appreciate the work of a good batter.

Remi:
It is absolutely the case that Jason would not only unknowingly insult her perfectionism, but also poke fun at the fact that Remi quit her swimming team despite her potential if he caught wind of that. Very likely that Remi would dislike him because of that. Olivier, on the other hand, would likely get along well with Remi. She seems like the type to respect his space, and he likes someone who doesn't mince words with him.
My kids:

Well, where the hell have I been this whole time?

Skyla Monroe:

Skyla both resents and feels sorry for Marie. She sees Marie as someone who is trying so hard to be this perfect angel, that she doesn't realize that she's falling in the same trap Skyla stumbled onto. It's agreed by many that this is Skyla projecting her own feelings rather than genuine dislike, but who knows?

Skyla miiiiight have gotten Jason to consider joining Beelzebub's gang? Might've. Absolutely does her best to keep up with Jason and his nonsense.

Skyla's very patient when it comes to Lucy and will encourage her to keep doing her best every day. Definitely see a close friendship between them.

Skyla...actually respects Oliver a fair bit and while I don't think they've interacted all that much, they've at least been cordial.

Maggie Wilfred:

I feel like Maggie looks up to Marie in some way, shape or form. Seeing how smart and noble Marie is, it makes her want to be more like her!

...I don't know why, but Maggie and Lucy just scream "besties" to me. Something about the two just clicks in my brain, y'know?

Murray Miller:

Murray sees Jason doing these crazy stunts and is wondering to himself, "Well gosh, now how smart do you have to be to pull that off?" He then tries to do those same stunts with catastrophic results. Needless to say, I think the two get along pretty well.

...Murray probably scared Lucy a couple of times. Not on purpose, just because of how loud and big he is.

Rita Schnell:

Rita and Marie could really go either direction. Does Marie see Rita as someone who can be trusted with any and all secrets? Or is Rita a charlatan who uses her riches and skills for nefarious purposes? I personally think they lean more towards enemies given how different their lifestyles and philosophies are, but I'll leave it up to you!

...sooooo would Jason be interested in dating Rita? Feels like she'd be all over Jason, especially since they're in theater club.
