I imagine Heather and Buster having an adversarial relationship. He is a shill for the state and a proud one. IRL he is persistently open to "friendly debate" and won't get heated but if she's politically active on social media he might do some anonymous trolling.

I don't have any particular ideas for your characters and Mo beyond the obvious, but feel free to tell me if you have any

Heather doesn't necessarily go out of her way to pick poltiical fights, so if Travis tolerates her giving him shit for not taking a stance she'll tolerate it beyond that. She's gonna think less of him but if he isn't actively hostile then it's kinda whatever. Same with the food thing. Basically she's very unapologetically opinionated but if he can put up with that then they can talk music sometimes. Probably ultimately just acquaintances that can share an interest sometimes though.
Oh! Actually! Is he still an EMT? I remember that being kinda in flux since it's a difficult thing to work into a high schooler concept. But If so, or if he's just like, working towards that and a big First Aid Knower and such, I think there's a connection there. I've long assumed (and not written it down oops) that Heather would know some basic first aid and probably pushed hard for courses to be available, especially Stop The Bleed training and such. So there could be a bit of mutual respect going on there, she's got a lot of time for anyone who aspires to go save lives.

Travis x Mercy: yeah I figure she's been giving him the stink-eye ever since he said her guitar wasn't all that and he may not even be entirely sure why.

Not 100% sure what you mean with that wording with Vanessa? searching Oh Ezra's dating her? Uh... yeah I guess? Enough in common I could see them getting along.

Love the LK/Travis vibe there, that's cute and gives me a chance to show her doing something nice when she'll mostly be a little bit obnoxious. 10/10 suggestion thank you.

Yeah Ezra doesn't give me much for Heather LK Hope, and that's okay! Could do an interesting little heart-to-heart on-island some time, but I don't see much bringing them together for it in pregame.

And yeah, I like Hope and Ezra bonding over ball. Don't worry, I'm pretty illiterate at it too, been to three games so far trying to fix that and still no luck! Since time of writing Hope's also been added to the soccer team so maybe a little competitiveness in common, but since it's at different sports they can help build each other up rather than be in direct competition?

My characters

100% signed off on Heather and Buster hating each others' guts, they stand for pretty much diametrically opposite things and boy are they both emphatic about it. At least he's a Democrat, otherwise they'd probably need to be kept apart to avoid violence. I was gonna come to your thread with this but I was still pondering ideas for the other two, and I still am! But I digress. As for the online thing, she does have an online persona for her solo music work, could be an angle for trolling because it is very explicitly political. She's a punk and her music has an ideological message.

As for your other two, while I'm here...
I'm down for any of my not-Heather three to be part of the Penny's Old Friends thing, Hope may be the best fit as she's already got that going on with Taylor Olson-Chen, just expands the vibes. Mercy having blossomed into who she is now could also work as an inversion if we say she was actually brought out of her shell a bit by Penny back in the days? Knowing LK really well before she transitioned could also be a fun source of characterisation? Any of those, probably not all of them though!

And for Mo...
Heather has no time for him based on his personality and what you've got down for his relationship with Ash Green. "Just doing whatever you want isn't rebellion, shithead" says she.
Genuinely can't decide if Mercy would've rejected him or not, would have to see him in action, but I do think she'd find him charming in a goofy sort of way. Could be friends, but he probably hates her taste in music, which is important to her, so... uncertain here. Open to further discussion.
Doubt he'd pursue Hope, she's not exactly traditionally attractive with no tits and no hands.
LK's a fun one. She certainly tries to attain contemporary beauty standards, specifically aping the e-girl vibe, but she's also trans and doesn't have much of a feminine figure as yet no matter how well she can accentuate what she does have with clothing and makeup choices. Plus... y'know, womanisers not typically known for going for girldick. All that said, if he would consider her, she's rejected him since she is very gay. Could be friends though since he's a funny guy and would probably be a good time to be around!

Mercy's name is now officially Mercedes Myers-Prescott, since that family is very definitely happening by all accounts. Also I added the art, finally.

Here are my guys and gals and we can see how they can mesh with each other

Meghan “Meggy” Roberts

• Heather Klein: Meghan would probably try and be good friends with Heather, finding her activism admirable as well as her being in shape (and is probably fairly flustered about strong lady lol), interested in her culinary food and absolutely agrees with her in almost everything politically wise….except when it comes to Cop, due to Meghan’s more sympathetic positions on them and her aspirations on being ”one of the good cops”. Though even Meghan herself will admit whenever cops are corrupt and be open minded to criticism whenever it’s levied towards her. So on Meghan’s side, she’d like Heather.

• Mercedes “Mercy” Myers-Prescott: Meghan finds Mercy being pretty cool for her artistic efforts and behind the scenes crafting and usually will attend some of her streams to give her support. She would always try and chat with Mercy and give encouragements over getting interests and honing hee craft! Pretty simple one here.

• Leah-Kim “LK” Mitchell: Meghan would definitely find herself interested with LK and be sweet and nice to her, watching and giving love in her streams and her videos in the comment sections, and whenever in class or at the library or just around each other, Meghan would compliment her appearance (in part to build her confidence, and another because she actually finds her cute) and bring up some video games and suggestions (she’s not too into games but she’s definitely wants to play some and finds LK the best to ask for)

• Hope Hynes: Meghan would be friendly to Hope anytime she sees her, and says hello and strikes up friendly conversations, usually about sports since Meghan is also a big sports fan. She would also love the fact Hope aspires as an everyday hero, and would chat about that and offer ideas of volunteering they could do together. She usually wouldn’t want to speak to her about her disability or her prostheses, but only out of not wanting to offend her or make her upset potentially by accidentally saying something insulting, and if she feels as though she did, she’ll apologize immediately.

Chester Roughiuser

• Heather Klein: Chester will have little in the way of Heather’s character, treating her somewhat as a classic “SJW” type; in spite of Chester actually agreeing with many of the views she has, and also shares her hatred over rich people, even though he himself is super well off; he generally remarks her as someone isn’t worth his time and will try and avoid her or just roll his eyes whenever she’s in his vicinity. Though, if there’s ever a discussion being brought about something relating to the wealth divide, immigration or something similar, Chester would find himself on the side of Heather if she’s apart of the discussion.

• Mercedes “Mercy” Myers-Prescott: Never does much to talk to Mercy, and finds himself annoyed with her, in part due to her being well off like him yet wanting to “make a name for herself” as, due to his own inferiority, will find her attempts as worthless and whenever they are in the same area or close, he will always make a snide jab over her lack of success in most things.

• Leah-Kim “LK” Mitchell: Chester would treat LK like a decent human being, and has also vicariously watched her streams and YouTube videos. Does he subscribe to her? He’s not telling anyone. He would usually ask her about what kind of video games are out and which ones he should check out. While he doesn’t care for her that much, he also finds himself annoyed with transphobes and whenever he hears a snide comment would occasionally tell the person to “shut up.” So even if he’s not super friendly with her, he does tolerate her enough and and finds himself comfortable enough to talk to her.

• Hope Hynes: Chester doesn’t have much thoughts on Hope and will usually treat her as thin air if he’s given the choice. If they’re around each other, he’ll simply make small talk about sports and her Irish heritage, and will never once say anything about her arms, as Chester couldn’t care less about her disability; To him, she’s a regular person just like anyone else and that doesn’t change much to him.

Abigail “Abby” Lester

• Heather Klein: Despite Abby being constantly taught by her family to hate people like Heather, Abby will always be polite, kind and open minded to Heather, and go to her whenever she wants to learn something politically wise or even better, just to have a friendly talk with her. Abby finds Heather extremely admirable in her activism and her free spiritedness, and would gravitate towards her, though wouldn’t want to open up about certain struggles about herself and finds herself relatively shy when it comes to deep conversations or whenever asked about how she is feeling or doing.

• Mercedes “Mercy” Myers-Prescott: Abigail would find Mercy’s singing and music nice and whenever she would sing or play, Abby would applaud softly and compliment her abilities. Although Russel’s around, she’ll just be quiet and give a half smile. She’ll watch her streams whenever it comes on if she has the time and Abigail wouldn’t mind to sit with Mercy at lunch when she can just to have a nice conversation. Overall, Abby would be nice to Mercy.

• Leah-Kim “LK” Mitchell: Like Heather, Abby was taught to see people like LK as “demons” and “brainwashed”; Though Abby doesn’t exactly understand Transgender individuals, she never hates them and always cares for what happens to them, and usually approaches LK to ask for information abut her experiences and to understand better. She watches her streams from time and would always support and would always listen to her talk about games and other projects, and even began playing some games that LK suggested. So overall, I think they’d have a good relationship!

• Hope Hynes: Abigail would find Hope nice to talk to and finds her ideals of heroism noble and virtuous, and woudl stop for friendly small talk. She woudl also bring up her arms and ask simple questions about it, always stating that she doesn’t mean to be rude or uncomfortable and simply wishes to know more about it.

Russell Otto (shitface)

• Heather Klein: oh yeah, Russell wouldn’t like Heather. From her take no bullshit attitude, to her definitely being able to see through his “sweet and charming guy” facade and Abby wanting to converse with her, Russell would absolutely not see her as anything worthy. He’d constantly make subtle jabs over her political ideals (usually when they pass in the hall or privately), usually just a stereotypical joke about her being a SJW or “just leave the country if you don’t like it,” and whenever he sees Abigail talking to Heather, would always find some way to get her away from Heather, and is always just a little too forceful getting Abby away.

• Mercedes “Mercy” Myers-Prescott: Not much with Mercy, only with Russell being annoyed over Abigail liking her singing, and finds her streaming videos “cringy” and will leave inflammatory comments from separate accounts just to be a dick.

• Leah-Kim “LK” Mitchell: Russell will try be nice to her, though when it comes down to it, he couldn’t care less about LJ as a human being and would usually iust avoid her, always making a transphobic comment whenever it was just her in earshot and act all innocent and confused, acting like he’s simply “new” to the topic but only does it to get under her skin.

• Hope Hynes: Russell has and always will see Hope as an “armless girl” and will always make a snide comment whenever privately or always through a backhanded complement that seems nice but in actuality is usually patronizing or condescending.

So he’s just a dick lol
