Chester Bissette

#1

Post by SharkyTGirl185 »

Name: Chester Bissette
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Grade: 12
School: Southwest Red Rock High School
Hobbies and Interests: Weight Lifting, Smoking Weed, The Outdoors

Appearance: Chester is a 5’6, 229-pound, pale-skinned young man with blue eyes and ratty black hair, resembling a mullet. He has a slouch to his body, not caring for his posture in the slightest, with a rotund belly that sticks out on a side profile. He had a slight, unkempt goatee and pimples across his face, with stained teeth, bags under his eyes, and puffy, drooped cheeks. The only part of his body that is slightly kept up is his nails, being trimmed and cut properly, and if someone looks very closely, they could see a faint nail polish color adorning them.

Chester usually cares little about appearance, keeping his hair matted and his body odor unchecked, and he throws on anything he finds, regardless of the Nevadan heat. His casual attire consists of stained, worn-out band T-shirts, from Tool to The Beatles, with a torn-up, sleeveless motorcycle jacket and blue jeans that are ripped from the knees.

Biography: Chester Bissette was born in the heart of Los Angeles, California, on October 18th, 2006, to Jean and Marguerite Bissette. Marguerite Bisette, née Liva, was a miserable woman feeling empty in her soul-crushing desk job as a high-earning corporate manager, while Jean Bisette was a spineless immigrant chafing under his government job as a tech analyst. After meeting at a social event, the two got together with the use of alcohol and mutual misery, and their encounter created Chester.

Chester lived in a nice luxury suite in L.A. with his now-married parents and, right from the day he was born, was showered with gifts and luxury. He was handed everything he could’ve wanted: He got the newest toys, went to any movies he wanted on opening night, was rewarded with nice trips to the beach and resorts, and was treated like a king by his spineless and sycophantic parents.

Despite living with everything he ever needed at his fingertips, Chester’s life slowly became hollow as he felt unmotivated to do anything with his life. Chester witnessed his parents, while showering him with gifts and praise, never once showing any care towards his passions or interests, simply throwing money at anything he wanted without a second thought, and anything he actually liked doing, he eventually grew bored and abandoned them with zero consequences.

He also witnessed, from a young age, his parents’ own hatred of one another, seeing them screaming and hitting each other as they hurled insults over the simplest things, and Chester picked up that they never did this when they noticed him around. This created a resentment towards his parents, realizing that their affection and love for him was simply a way for them to cope with their own misery and mistakes, and Chester began to emotionally withdraw from them, growing apathetic towards caring about them since they never actually cared for him.

His school years throughout elementary school were bland, being educated in a high-level private school with other children of high status. Despite this amazing opportunity, Chester’s interests stagnated as he began to slack off on his grades. Chester knew from conversations he overheard from his parents that, no matter what he wanted, they’d set him up with a comfortable desk job with a few connections to their respective fields, and so he never saw a point in working hard on anything.

Thus, Chester coasted through his elementary school with straight Cs, doing the bare minimum of participation and cutting corners whenever he wanted, and despite many tutors, messages home, and his parents shoveling in money, Chester was never willing to put in the work. This caused Chester to be relentlessly bullied by his peers, a period in his life that caused Chester to slowly develop a bitter disgust for others with higher status, particularly finding jealousy in the ambitious classmates who succeeded even without their wealth helping them.

Chester’s parents were unable to understand why he was struggling and believed he needed a change of scenery. After talking with Chester, the parents did some paperwork for transfers of their jobs, and before Chester knew it, he ended up in Las Vegas, Nevada. His family would live in a very comfortable 2-story house with a spacious backyard in a richer neighborhood. Chester wasn’t fully appreciative of the gesture but attempted to build up a new life in Nevada.

As Chester went through middle school, any room to improve broke with COVID. Chester self-isolated inside both his room and his head, barely passing middle school as he spent most days watching television or inside his room. In his room, he’d just browse the internet for something that can entertain him, play mindless video games without interest in them, or stare up at the ceiling.

His parents, too busy with their own work at this point, left Chester to his devices and with no support for any psychological issues he might have. This also took a toll on him physically, his consumption of food and lack of exercise making him gain hefty weight. During this time, Chester developed a form of chronic tinnitus where a thick “buzzing” noise is constantly playing inside of his head. Chester refused any treatment or to say anything about it, resulting in it continuing as Chester’s constant stress worsens it daily.

By the time Chester got into Red Rock, he had put on hefty weight and no longer cared about his hygiene or physical looks and found himself repulsed looking in the mirror. He was disgusted in his body and appearance, yet couldn’t care enough to fix himself, growing a self-hatred that built up over time. This insecurity grew harder when he was on the internet, finding himself jealous towards the attractive people he saw on social media, particularly the young women he saw being free and happy with their bodies.

He found himself jealous when he saw them in skirts, in dresses, with amazing hair and perfect skin, and found himself questioning why he was cursed with these flaws in his body. One day, at 16, Chester bought some nail polish and tried it on, and for once, Chester didn’t find himself repulsed in the mirror, and the “buzzing” in his head had dulled down. He usually continues this one act of dopamine every time he’s alone, even sometimes in school if he thinks he’s alone.

Chester’s teenage years sent him spiraling harder, as by the time he entered Red Rock, he had become an irritable, apathetic, and antisocial loner. Within Red Rock, Chester coasts through with Cs, ignoring any help from aides and educators to improve his grades as he works on just doing enough to not fail the class. Chester shows a bare interest in many hobbies, with the only mild interest he has being in history and English, the classes where he performs the best; meanwhile, he is abysmal in math. This is not through a lack of understanding, however, as Chester is very knowledgeable in both science and history, as well as non-linear math, through his browsing of forums, watching of college essay videos, and reading of math textbooks. However, Chester refuses to put any genuine work in, seeing it as a waste of time.

Socially, Chester has tanked as he generally avoids others, finding himself unable to properly let people in due to his own self-hatred and apathy. Despite this, Chester’s homelife and early school years made him grow up with a keen perception of those around him, and he is able to really read people like a book, even their own internal issues and flaws. He usually keeps a mental note, and while he never does anything to bully or demean the person, he won’t do anything to help if he notices a self-destructive behavior or something extremely concerning, like signs of depression or abuse, not seeing it as anything worth talking about.

Chester is not physically fit, barely passing gym class in part due to his weight and lack of trying, though his general stature makes him physically strong, and ever since coming to Red Rock, Chester’s only real pastime is at the gym, passively lifting weights to pass the time, and he can be seen either at the equipment or beating a punching bag. He finds exercising a good stress relief, and that also calms the “buzzing” in their head.

Another act that dulls the “buzzing” in Chester’s head is the outdoors. If someone didn’t find Chester inside the gym after school or on lunch, Chester would be seen outside, sitting in the bleachers of either the football field, the baseball diamond, the pool area, or the tennis and basketball courts, where Chester would stare off into space and listen to the noise around him. When Chester is outside, he secretly smokes weed to clear his head fully and “shut down” the outside world. He’s usually really good at hiding the joints, and if someone wants to smoke weed with him, he’ll be surprisingly fine with it, being one of the few times Chester finds himself at some sort of peace with others.

Politically, Chester presents himself as apolitical and uncaring towards any social issues. However, Chester’s habitual consumption of the internet and media has led to a surprising keen aptitude for current and historical events and has shown to left-wing libertarianism, with a particular dislike of the government's oppressive hypocrisy. He supports the preservation of history, defunding of police and military, universal healthcare, and the free market. While he usually wouldn’t make his politics known, whenever someone slipped a fact that was incorrect, Chester would speak out to correct them with some large heaps of mockery and sarcasm.

With the turn of senior year, Chester doesn’t have high hopes for his future. He believes his parents are going to set him up with a boring desk job, live in a bland house in the middle of New York or Chicago, or right back in Los Angeles, where he’ll meet an equally empty woman and have kids with her. Due to this, Chester forgoes any future plans or any career opportunities, only deciding to go to a medium-level college in Oregon as an obligation. Chester’s future is dim, and he doesn’t look forward to it.

Advantages: Chester, even from a young age, has a keen perception towards others, knowing their flaws and problems, and can easily read a situation so he can get out of it. While not healthy, Chester is physically strong and imposing in his build, being extremely intimidating. He is very knowledgeable of history, math, and science and has a genuinely high intellect.
Disadvantages: Chester has an extreme unwillingness to put work in and use his intellect, wanting to have others take the reins and not bothering to put his ideas to the test if they require hard work. His general demeanor and antisocial behavior leave Chester isolated and unable to work with others. His weight and unhealthy lifestyle have left him with a lack of stamina.

Heya Sharky, I'm here for seconds. While Chester is DENIED pending some revisions and fixes, I will say that he's looking a lot better to start with than Meggy! Let's begin...
Hobbies and Interests: Weight Lifting. Smoking weed. The Outdoors. Wearing Nail Polish.
This is a list, not a series of proper sentences. Change all of these periods to commas, except for the very last one, which you should just get rid of.

Also for the sake of my sanity, capitalize Weed so that way it matches everything else.
Chester Bissette was born in the heart of Los Angeles, California, on July 18th, 2006
Chester would've graduated in 2024 just prior to turning 18 if he was born on this date on this year. Your options are:

1. Change his birth date to 2007 and his listed age to 17 (as he will not turn 18 before the trip).
2. Change his birthday to be in October-December of 2006. This will let him graduate at the right time and be 18 going into 2025.
3. Have him be held back a year at some point. Note that this would be a CONSIDERABLY harder change to make and would have ripple effects across his biography afterwards.

I suggest option 1 or 2.
his parents own hatred
Parents' own.
This fed into a resentment
This created resentment.
never actually care for him
Cared.
self-isolated himself inside
No need for "himself" here given the "self-" part of self-isolated.
through his growing of forums
Did you mean browsing of forums?
government's oppressive hypocrisy and support of the preservation
The way this is phrased sounds like it's the government supporting these things which... isn't really true, is it? Given how big this sentence already is, add a period after "hypocrisy" and change "and support of" to "He supports".
Is very knowledgeable of history, math, and science and has a genuinely high intellect.
"He is" not just "is" and also I'd change the word "high" to "acute" since real life isn't a video game.
Has an extreme unwillingness to put work in and use his intellect
"Chester has"
and won’t bother putting his ideas
"Not bothering to put" instead of "won't bother putting".

...and that's it! Post back here when you have those edits made and I'll give him another look!

Few more things...
Hobbies and Interests: Weight Lifting, Smoking Weed, The Outdoors.
You forgot something: I mentioned taking off the last period here, since this still isn't a proper sentence (you wouldn't end the other fields above it with a period, would you?).
This created a resentment
It's fine to still have the a in here but if you have it then you need to specify "a resentment towards his parents".

...and that's it. Fix those and he should be good to go.
