"Art enriches the community, Steve, no less than a pulsing fire hose, or a fireman beating down a blazing door. So what if we're drawing a nude man? So what if all we ever draw is a nude man, or the same nude man over and over in all sorts of provocative positions? Context, not content! Process, not subject! Don't be so gauche, Steve, it's beneath you."

Junior Meilin's outfit is great. It's so... ornate, almost! You did an especially nice job shading the pleats of her skirt; there's a lot of depth and texture there. I also like that you made sure the buttons and clasps actually line up on her jacket; it's a little detail but makes the garment look very authentic. The rolled sleeves are also a nice touch; you're really getting the perspective down. And her hair and expression are good too!
I love the idea of personifying the rolls, and you made her look both prim/proper and slightly menacing. You've done a really nice job with her posture here, especially the little spot where her knee bends and her legs are together. The single spiral curl is also really nice; shows that you can never get comfortable because there's always a twist coming.
You're great, and your work has been awesome so far.

I dig it! I've always been a sucker for the black and white and red palette, and you use it to good effect here to draw emphasis. I love that you can tell that you were pressing down harder on the "let go" even just with the black, and the highlighting/shadowing works really well there. I'm amazed how well you're able to capture eyes and fingers, too; those are really tough to get looking so natural. It's super evocative in a fun, creepy way.
I bid you all dark greetings!

Those look really good. You did a great job of picking a unified aesthetic and then making them all distinct from one another while staying true to it. I love the stained glass concept particularly. Often with this sort of thing, I look at it from a perspective of "Could fans actually make them for costumes/decorations/whatever?" and I always love it when the answer is yes. They're super evocative and use color and geometry really well. I throw my allegiance to Beacon or maybe Rainbow.
I bid you all dark greetings!

More spooky sketches?
more spooky sketches
(these ones specifically are inspired by the idea of my v7 girls as sad ghosts reflecting on their time on murder island and/or replaying it like a ghostly echo)

Aww. These are good and sad, especially given the context.
The behind-shot of Meilin is cool. You do a good job of capturing her look and vibe even with her face completely hidden from view. I like the way you faintly added blood on the front as well as the more obvious stain on the back, and also the use of red letters to mirror that and add emphasis.
Camilla looks good too, and I dig that you've again kept her face largely obscured. The blood here is more subtle, but also more chilling for that; the trickle by her eyes is no more overt than the splatters on her hands. You also did a good job with her posture, cradling the head in sorrow.
These are bleak but in a really cool and evocative way. You did an awesome job with 'em!

chat memes lead me to make some magical girl designs based on my own magical girl setting, Guardian Project/Shooting Stars.

These are great!
I dig the way you've played contrasting themes with The Guard. On the one hand, you have a really solid, strong, defensive posture going in her upper body; she looks ready to fend off a football tackle. On the other hand, you allow a hint of uncertainty to creep into her feet, with her toes facing each other. I like the visor and pigtails a lot, and I'm also a big fan of the huge gloves.
I dig how The Eye has something of a skating posture going on; you can imagine her sliding along the ice really well. Her weapons are an inspired choice for her thematics, with lots of slashing, whirling, wild danger, and you've given them good motion and spread in how they're portrayed (and I like the nested rope). I also dig the single eyepiece by contrast; it's distinct and also a good play on her designation. Her expression in general has a great calm confidence to it.
Finally, The Butterfly has a great classic fairy air; she reminds me of the Cottingley Fairies a little. She has a great suggestion of elegance and aesthetics to her movement, and I also really enjoy how intricate her costume is; it has a great butterfly style pattern running throughout it in a very natural way.
You did an awesome job on this trio! They look wonderful and you have a bunch of creativity and personality on display here.
